Hyatt Place Kansas City/Overland Park/Convention Center

I have stayed here probably 10 times in the last few years and I gotta say I love this hotel. It’s always clean, plenty of parking and the staff are incredible.

Can’t say enough about the manager Greg. He’s always so nice and helpful. Had a scary incident with someone creeping on me and putting notes under my door. Greg did not hesitate to move my floors and offered to escort me so I felt safe.

As a solo female traveler I have never felt so safe somewhere. I stay here every-time and will continue to do so. The construction is over now too and the hotel looks great. Caleb and Kathryn at the front desk are so friendly and helpful too. Truly an awesome staff and great hotel.

My family and I loved our stay here. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The mattress could have been better it seemed a bit worn down but I still slept fine. The breakfast was very good with a nice variety to pick from. The pool was not great. It was a very gross green color, which is my only issue.

We stayed here for a week during a dance competition held at the convention center. Location was perfect. Everything we needed was within a 10 minute drive. Convention center is less than 4 minutes down the road. Staff was wonderful. Rooms were great and spacious. Pool was shut down during our trip to drain and clean, but there was a dance competition so tons of kids in and out of the pool with hair gel and who knows what else on. So I wasn’t pressed about the pool. Every hotel we knew people staying at had a green pool that week. Breakfast was delicious although my daughter did wish they had a waffle maker. 9/10 will def stay here when we are back in Overland Park

Love this wooded location, so quiet and pleasant. The hotel is newly renovated and the staff is lovely. It looks on the map as though you are in the city but it's actually an upscale pleasant rural feeling spot.

Great location, good service. Good breakfast. Quiet room to work and rest. Good size fitness room and equipment.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was very clean and spacious. I really like the setup with a big couch on one side and the bed on the other. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have seen in a long time. Plus, check out isn’t until noon!

Stayed there this past weekend. Best hotel I’ve been in- in years. Clean, spacious(couch in room) professional staff, breakfast was top notch with sausage and so many options, beds comfortable, feather pillows, and this hotel is in a very very nice area. There is even a Starbucks inside the hotel. Very nice! It won’t disappoint!

Fantastic service and customer experience. Flight was late getting in so I ended up checking in pretty late. They made it painless and went out of their way to accommodate few requests even though they technically didn't have to because it was right at closing time.

Not a luxury hotel by any means but it was priced right and had good quality amenities and options for what it was designed to be. Will be back for quick trip or business trip again.

Room was in good shape as well. Decently updated, good ac, but most importantly clean.

Quick stay so didn't use house keeping, but based on room condition at check it don't see an issue.

Went on vacation with my husband and our son. Location was good. Not within walking distance to very many things, maybe Wendys. There were several activities in close driving distance. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The only complaint I have is they didn't make the structure solid in the first place so you can hear the toilet flush upstairs and doors around you shut and shake the walls. Breakfast selection was very good, but it is exactly the same everyday. Pool was closed. Overall a very good experience.

Very nice room & amenities. Staff extremely friendly & professional. Good location for our appointments. Pet fee costly, but decreased when we joined Hyatt Club. Room was quiet, except we heard other room doors slam. Our door also moved when others opened, just enough to sound like someone was coming in. That was disturbing. We couldn't hear the storm outside, but heard every door on the hall. Bathroom was tiny. All other areas quite spacious. Common areas clean & pretty. Appreciated the elevator and the staff wearing face masks.

Very clean, comfortable beds, and overall great. Only complaint was the breakfast was kinda weird. Everything just tasted...off.

The hospitality was wonderful, especially from Kelli, who works front desk. She made us feel so welcome and like we were part of the family. The rooms were cleaned daily and breakfast was delicious every morning. This is a great little place to stay. 😁

Clean, great location, friendly staff, near many eating and shopping places. The bathroom was a bit small and dated but it was clean with plenty of hot water. Loads of fresh towels and wash clothes on request. Nice pillows and comfortable bed. The breakfast is fresh but doesn't vary much from day to day. The coffee is great but for some strange reason is not available all day in the lobby. Best wifi of any hotel we have been in Worldwide.

Excellent service. Very clean and comfortable. Great size room. Breakfast was very good. I would compare this to a modern bed and and breakfast. This was our second stay here and it was better than the first as they updated couches and office furniture. They were nice before and this time new and nice. Channel selection a bit limited and no guide but that works for us. There was on demand and pay per view.

Wasn’t able to stay due to unexpected travel changes. Management jumped in to help and address guest request and concern. Definitely complement their service and recommend them. Thank you Brent!
