I got the BBQ Pork with Rice and Mashed potatoes and absolutely loved it! The staff are amazing and the atmosphere is very good! If you are in Goodland, you have to give this a try!

Absolutely delicious! The lady at the he front desk of our hotel recommended L & T as good local food. She was absolutely right! Everyone in our family left full and happy. Our waitress recommended the chili rellenos, and I second that! Best I've ever had! My daughter inhaled her BBQ pork sandwich, I barely got a picture! The other three plates were attacked before pictures could be taken, but all dishes ordered were fresh, delicious, and just amazing!

If you are passing through the area, this a gem you want to visit!

The food was fantastic! It was a little loud and crowded, but it’s worth it. My wife had the goodland burger, with a side of fried okra. It was the best okra I’ve had outside of the Carolinas. I had the fried chicken combo. I would get it again and again. The chicken was amazing! Definitely made by someone who knows what they are doing and takes pride in their food

This place is a diamond in the rough. What a gem! It seemed a little questionable when we arrived but once inside, the place is very clean and relaxed. It gets a little noisy when filling up because it's a family restaurant but not overwhelming. My friend usually shies away from this style but she was very pleased as well.

The service was great. Very friendly and welcoming and willing to come back because I couldn't make up my mind.

About the food. Delicious! I ordered the brisket dinner with green beans and mashed potatoes, and my friend had the chicken fried steak with fried okra. The dinner came with a biscuit that had to be the best biscuit I've had since my grandma was alive. Incredibly light and fluffy with a melt in your mouth texture and flavor. The brisket was sliced thin but not too thin. Then I got a big surprise - there were 3 big slices. The fat level was good so there wasn't much waste. About the green beans. What does one usually say about green beans in a restaurant? Not much. However, I can't recommend these beans enough. They were cooked perfectly- not al dente, not overcooked. Perfect firmness and the flavor was as great as everything else on the plate. If given the chance I would have had seconds! The quantity of food is as high as the quality.

This was a very affordable meal. Very inexpensive and well worth the stop. Do yourself a favor and choose this place if you're looking for something that will please your palate as well as your stomach!

What a great find! Great food and excellent service! Delicious fried chicken at a very fair price! Just a couple minutes off the highway and definitely worth the detour.

This place is an unexpected gem! I’m not one to try new restaurants and I’d heard about their fried chicken from others BUT it took me over 2 years of living in Goodland to finally visit. OMG I saw my fav Chile Rellenos on the menu and they are the BOMB! I can’t imagine ordering anything else on the menu! What if I never get to trying the awesome chicken that I’ve heard about? 😂 cuz I’m absolutely addicted to their Chile Rellenos and have returned 5 more times in the last few weeks and they are consistently delicious! YUM!

This place is great! Get off the highway and go! Fried chicken was freshly cooked after I ordered. It came with two sides, so I had the house salad and soup. Soup was awesome and the salad was large. My friend had the brisket burrito and loved it. They make their own salsa and green Chile sauce and he said they were great. Good service topped off a great lunch experience!

Thanks to all of the reviews here, our family drove past the fast food near the highway to eat at this downtown gem. I had the day's special of a couple of ribs, a chicken breast, and two sides. The ribs were so tender that they fell off the bone, and the fried chicken matched what everyone has said about them. My side salad was more substantial and varied than I expected, though the baked beans tasted no better than canned - the only minor disappointment of my meal.

Service was welcoming and efficient. I was happy to see people of color also enjoying the restaurant.

Next time, I might call before I visit; a hand-written sign noted an unscheduled closure the next two days. But I will be back. This is worth the extra drive into town.

Food was amazing. Fried chicken was really good. My wife had breakfast, the omelette was delicious. Hashbrowns on point. Service was amazing.

Traveling across the country by car and enjoying local dining as we go. L&T did not disappoint. We walked into a full restaurant of happy locals enjoying everything from fried chicken to biscuits and gravy. The pork tenderloin sandwich was a perfect portion. If you want to go outside of the box, try the Crazy L&T burger. Not a normal burger with the addition of a fried egg, a grilled hot dog, ham and pineapple. For good measure add a grilled jalapeño. You need to leave the interest to find this gem in downtown Goodland but it is worth the time.

The fried chicken was amazing!

We passed through this town on our way to Kansas City. A local store owner recommended it so we gave it a shot. The staff was super friendly but the food stole the show. The chicken tenders were great and the portions were more than enough. Not sure when we’ll be back through but this place will definitely be in return list when we hear back East.

Great local restaurant food was great nothing my family got was bad. Server was awesome! If you have room for dessert get the churros with ice cream, you won’t regret it.

A hidden gem , Off the highway a bit. Best fried chicken we have ever had .

Great little mom and pop restaurant, we eat here all the time. Try the bottle caps if you like spicy appetizers.

We were traveling through and this restaurant was recommended. We did not want typical chain restsurant food. Fantastic family restaurant. The food was top notch and the service was great. Didn't have to wait for our food long and it was delicious, especially the ribs. They fell off of the bone. If you are passing through, this is a must stop.

Wonderful burgers & fries. Beer battered fries with a thin crust coating were exceptional. Burgers were thick and very flavorful with lettuce, tomato & pickles.

Off the path for highway travelers but well worth it! Good, clean food.

Very good food atmosphere was great and our waitress was outgoing and happy 😊 enjoyed our meal
