Great Harvest Bakery and Café

Went in here to try this first time on a busy Saturday. Was very quick only took about 12 to 15 minutes to get my order. I got the Cuban and was highly impressed. Will be back to buy bakery goods and try their sweet treats as well, but I would recommend going here for the hot sandwiches and the excellent pricing.

Cozy little spot to find for a sandwich when takING a quick random trip to Lawrence! Definitely a little gem with amazing cinnamon rolls and the chocolate rice Krispy ball things OMG! My only disappointment is the pesto sandwich I got looked nothing like the picture. Maybe if they stacked 2 or 3 on top with a lot of extra cheese sure, nonetheless it was really really tasty! Bf got the Italian one and it looked just like the picture! Would recommend and will be back for sure if and when I get back to Lawrence!

It's a nice place to pop in and visit with friends over breakfast.

I needed to customize my sandwich by substituting one ingredient and leaving two other ingredients off. I’m happy to report that my sandwich was made with 100% accuracy. It was a high quality sandwich and tasted amazing!

The location is clean, organized and has a cheery and friendly staff.

My to-go order was packed very well and I’m already looking forward to my return!

Y’all, I have been wanting to go here for a while and I’m so glad I did. I got a chocolate pecan coconut cookie bar. I used to love these as a kid. I haven’t seen one at any bakery… I told the lady I had to try it. Omg…. It was so good. Just like I remember when I was a kid but better. I’ll be back to try their food.

Stopped in around 9 am on a Saturday. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a loaf of Cinnamon Chip. The aroma of cinnamon had me floating up to the counter like a cartoon character. The sandwich was great, but eating the cinnamon bread was a profound experience. I had no idea that something as simple as bread could evoke such powerful nostalgia. When I bit into the bread, visions of Saturday morning cinnamon rolls swirled in my mind as I noted its pillowy texture. I’m incredibly grateful to this bread for unveiling once forgotten memories of positive family interactions. I think we all get excited when we finally get to the center of a cinnamon roll, but with this particular loaf, every bite was like enjoying the center.

Great Harvest Bread has some of the best raisin walnut bread ever! I went in there for the reason walnut bread and then noticed that they make sandwiches. I had the reuben and the soup of the day which happened to be a ham soup with bacon and green beans in it and some potatoes it was very delicious. The soup was delicious and the Reuben I must say was the best I've ever had. I'm not sure if all the flavor came from the bread or their homemade Thousand Island dressing where the meat itself or the cheese but it was spectacular. I cannot say enough about it I would highly recommend! On a side note they are not afraid to serve the food hot. Most places will not serve the food and a Fresh Off The Grill temperature that is really really warm. Well I'm going to say hot. Enough about the food the atmosphere was quaint and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very clean place!

First time visiting today. Love love love this place! Purchased the chicken salad sandwich, a blackberry pie and the cinnamon chip bread! All tasted amazing! The cinnamon chip bread is out of this world! I will definitely go back.

What a great little bakery! Food was delicious and they have healthier options than most bakeries. I’m from NC and stopped in for coffee. Left with much more because it was so good.

Found this place today. Probably driven by it 1000 times because they’ve been open for I believe 6 to 9 months they said. If this was on door dash my bank account would take a serious hit. But I’m telling you they had the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my entire life… I mean…. they have the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had in my entire life…. Friendly staff very clean Good sandwich as well and a salad and bought some bread highly recommend!!! All fresh and homemade products got some dog biscuits for my fur babies as well.

Be careful going in here, they have LOT of great looking & fantastic tasting food. First time today, definitely won't be last. We both had breakfast sandwiches, freshly made & taste awesome. The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly & helpful.
Be sure to ask for a punch card, you will be back; enjoy the perk.

I had a biscuit sandwich with bacon, egg and cheese. It was HUGE and delicious!!

I love this place, and it's a true gem of a bakery. As a senior on a budget, I sometimes wince at the thought of paying 8 dollars for a loaf of bread. But ... this is no ordinary bread. My favorite loaf is the Sourdough and it is worth every penny. I realize that these days you pay for what you get. Keep doing what you do, and I will continue to wince and buy your fantastic products.

If you like hearty breads and treats that are made with natural things like wheat, milk, yeast and honey rather than a bunch of things you can't pronounce let alone know why they are listed in your breads ingredients, this is the place for you. Pricey but satisfying and wholesome! Come check it out! P.S. They have a little eat in Cafe where you can get a sandwich, salad or sweet treat like a huge cinnamon roll or cookie. Yum!

When you first walk in the door, you are met with the most amazing smells and friendly staff!! The bread is so good, and there are so many choices! Love the cinnamon butter as well. They were so busy when we went there, but everyone was having a wonderful time and it was a great atmosphere! Will always be back!!

Amazing bread and baked goods. We got the sourdough loaf and a sugar cookie 🍪. Both were amazing! And it's hard to get a good sourdough sometimes.

Love the customer service, I’m a freshmen here and they welcome me with open arms. Really really good sandwich and they even gave me a welcome gift which is a cinnamon bun and other things. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
