I've been coming here for a couple of years and I couldn't be happier! Every time I tell someone I have a spray tan on they are shocked because these ladies do it so well. The color is perfect, they blend while they spray, and they give you all of the tools and info needed to maintain it. I only get about 2 spray tans a month because they last so long.

This place is also disability friendly. They are so accommodating, make notes in your file, and are flexible. I'm hoping if I'm a client long enough SOMEONE will allow me to invest in this exceptional business 😅

Prompt service, friendly staff and a welcoming environment! The end result of my tan was fantastic and actually lasted a good week or so! I even purchased the gradual tan lotion and it is by far my most favorite gradual self tanner! I get compliments all the time on my glow! Thank you, thank you! Will be returning soon!! 🫶

I decided to try spray tans after getting skin cancer last year. It gives me the same feeling and confidence that a suntan does! And it doesn’t Take as long to get 😂 The Ladies at Recreating Rays are always so nice and make the process comfortable and seamless!!

I went for a spray tan last week before heading to Mexico for a wedding and I am so impressed. Jo D did my tan & she was amazing! So kind, so helpful & explained everything in detail as she was working. Not only was my experience in the shop top notch, but the spray tan itself was flawless. The attention to detail really showed when it was 3 days later & I had an even spray tan even as I spent time in the pool. I purchased the tan extending lotion and it was a game-changer for helping my spray tan stand against the test of the swim up bar & sweating. Highly recommend Recreating Rays, I will most definitely be back to see Jo D!! 😊

Love the custom spray tan I get at RR. I also did the teeth whitening service and I get so many compliments on how white my teeth are…even my dental hygienist commented on how white my teeth are. I am a repeat customer for sure.

I really can't say enough good things about Recreating Rays! I still remember my first spray tan from Shonna ( the owner ) in her basement back in like 2009 I think.... I was pregnant with my now 12 year old daughter and I remember even woah pregnant I felt completely comfortable. Now she has two beautiful locations and I just adore my biweekly or mthly appointment! (Depending on the season.) I don't get sprayed by Shonna anymore... but the quality is just as amazing as it's always been with my two "go to" girls (Sadie & Kristen)! They just sprayed me before my wedding 1.22.22 and as usual it was perfection! If you're on the fence about if it's worth the money... I hardly ever have to wear foundation or concealer anymore...My skin is glowing because I can let it breathe and lets be honest everything looks better tan! lol. Anyway, I adore the place and my girls!

Highly recommend Recreating Rays! Their mission of body positivity alone is so welcoming, as is their staff! They are very thorough in explaining pre, during, and post spray tan. Each person you encounter at each visit is so friendly! They also have at home tanning products that are easy to use and have the same formula as their in-house tans. The memberships are a must to tan multiple times a month. Can’t wait for my next tan!

There’s no such thing as a bad tan from RR (coming from a naturally faired-skinned girlie). I am always so confident after getting a flawless spray tan here. Never a doubt that the RR women know what they’re doing!

I have been here twice now the first time I was 7 months pregnant, I felt huge and uncomfortable but wanted to feel pretty for my baby shower the tech was so kind and made me feel comfortable. Recently just got another spray tan for family pictures and had a different tech and she was just as kind, both did an amazing job! This is definitely the place to go if you want a beautiful even tan for a special event everyone including the front desk gals are so welcoming and kind! Can’t recommend this place enough! My favorite place! I love everyone in the salon and love the feeling once I get a spray. They will listen to what you are wanting and truly want to make sure that the color and final outcome is exactly what you want. The ladies in the salon are the best and always make me feel comfortable and like I’m a friend. I don’t know what I’ll do if I ever have to move from KC.

I came here somewhat last minute to get a spray tan for my wedding and was absolutely blown away. The staff were so so friendly, nice, and helpful. It looked amazing for my wedding day and could not be more happy with their service. Highly recommend!!

I’ve had a few spray tans here. Each time the staff is great. My tan is even and the shade that I was hoping for!

This was my first time doing a spray tan outside of a tanning booth. Sadie was absolutely amazing! She made me feel so comfortable and the tan came out perfect (she also evened out my lovely Apple Watch tan line without adding any additional tan lines). The girls at the front were so helpful and friendly as well! I would 100% recommend Sadie and this location. Definitely will be returning for other events as well as my for my own wedding!

(This was from 2022 and never posted) I have been going to RR since Shonna started it in her basement. The Olathe location is beautiful and it’s currently being updated to have even more state of the art facilities! It’s never been anything but fun, quality, lasting results. I ALWAYS have a 5 star experience, no matter who tans me, and always feel so secure and great in my own skin. Thanks to RR for always boosting my confidence and making me look fabulous while skipping the skin cancer 🥰

I went to the Olathe location for a spray tan - I got the Versa Pro Tan - in Light-Medium and loved it! My tan came out perfectly and looked very natural. Would recommend to anyone in the area - the Olathe location is the cutest!

Recreating Rays is absolutely amazing!! I’ve been coming here for a few years now and always have the best experience. The staff is extremely friendly, kind, knowledgeable and always makes you feel good about yourself. Their spray tans look very natural and I ALWAYS get compliments on how good it looks! I’ve done the rapid, 8 hour and VersaSpa Pro and I recommend all of them. I will continue to recommend Recreating Rays to everyone I know and always will come here to get a spray tan!

I haven't had a spray tan since high school, and this body is definitely different now so I was a little insecure. Recreating Rays instantly made me feel comfortable! They walked me through each step to make sure I felt confident and knew how to get the most out of my spray tan. The tan was flawless and I instantly felt beautiful. Recreating Rays is the only place I trust with my spray tans. I’ve gotten them before major events, vacations, and even my own wedding. All of the team members are so welcoming and make you feel comfortable and confident. They talk you through what you’re looking for to find the best color for you. Pre and post tan instructions were clear and simple, and my glow lasts up to almost 2 weeks. They’re truly experts at what they do!
