Thunderbird Grill

Swung by here on our way to Wichita with a couple of my friends. She recommended the chicken wrap which two of us had and fully recommend as well. The wagon wheel Burger was also vouched for, as well as the patty melt. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere is unique and the place is an awesome stop out in the middle of no where. Check out it!

A couple of old video games are in the corner. They don't all work awesome, and I think the ski ball machine ate my quarter, but I think this is a great place to swing by in your way past if you want some great food.

My sales team and I were working in town for a few days and we’re all so glad we chose to eat here. We eat at a lot of different restaurants around Kansas, and this is one of the best small town diners I have ever been to. It’s clean, the owners and staff are super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere and decor is great and the food is so good. I had The Reuben sandwich for Lunch the first day, and it was built right on the grill. 🤤. We went back a second day. I had the chicken, apple pecan salad and a freshly made bierock that was sooooo good. Highly recommend If you are ever in Towanda Kansas, you eat at Thunderbird's.

Wow, the best service, best food, worth the drive from anywhere. Try everything, the daily specials, the double cheeseburger feeds two! Fresh, delicious food.

Got to eat there yesterday with my aunt and my wife. Delicious! I had the apple cranberry chicken green salad with a side of sweet potato fries. 10/10 recommend!

Small town greatness wins again. Our first visit and we will be back. Good variety of fresh cooked meals. Even has a game room for the kiddos or kiddos at heart to play

We are from Tulsa OK here in town visiting family. We had a great time here, the food was great and so was the service. We sat outside and it was very relaxing.

Enjoying lunch as I write this review. Read a few reviews for this place. People complaining about prices, service etc and some people have not been in since new owners have taken over. This place is clean service is very friendly and the food was amazing. Cheaper than fast food and much better. Hope the locals support this place so they don’t loose it.

Food is delicious, try the Double D burger. Cute little dinner, would be really cool if they had a decent arcade.

I recently went there this past week with my sister for lunch since the new owner took over. I does the make your meal combo (which comes with a sandwich side and a drink) I had the Reuben w/ sweet potato fries. OMG delicious it came out all melted and hot and gooey and the fries were the right amount of crispy and tender on the inside. My sister ordered the appetizer sampler, she chose fried okra fried pickles fried mushrooms and mini tacos in the I tried the fried pickles and okra and took home what she couldn't eat for my meal that evening and the fried pickles and okra and mushrooms are the bomb also I didn't try the tacos because they were already ate up!! I also been wanting to try their one of their pies or baked goods that they've been posting on our community pages here in Towanda and they had a southern pineapple cake which had what seem to be like a German chocolate icing on it with pineapple tidbits it was delicious who served cold and I took that home for to eat on later and there wasn't a thing about the meal that I didn't enjoy and so much so that I convinced my daughter and her boyfriend to go back there the next week 😉

If you haven't been here yet you are missing out. Arcade games and a real Pinball machine. Always fresh food and frendly people.

This place has gotten SO much better since the new owners took over. So many more options now! Also everyone Is really nice, Bailey is sweet. The desserts are made fresh and are HUGE!

I’m sitting in here right now and I enjoyed it so much I am giving this review. The place looks like it needs an update visually but you can tell they are holding onto a lot of success. good customer service and a good burger but the fries make it a good balanced flavor with a great prices. Sometimes that’s just what a small town needs!

The new owner is knocking it out of the park. FAST service even during lunch rush, and the food coming out is prepared PERFECTLY every time.
