The people that work there are always great! As a first time homeowner that jumped into the deep end with a fixer upper, I appreciate the knowledge and patience they have all shown me in multiple trips for different projects, and usually multiple trips for just one project even. The store isn't large but the selection is varied so I almost always find what I'm looking for and can avoid the big box store headaches. Thanks everyone there for all of the help!

Had a great experience here about two months ago. I was doing a large project in our kitchen and needed a few other things like a shop vac to help finish the job. When I came to check out, the cashier actually told me there was a cheaper shop vac with the same specs and features, for $40 cheaper. I really appreciated the friendly service and the help saving a bit of money.

Just moved into the area and visited this store today. Went for one thing and left with a cart full. Exceptionally well stocked with a little bit of everything. If you need something hardware/yard:/house, you’ll likely find it here and it will be available in a high quality “buy to last” brand with an impressive selection. Well staffed with helpful and friendly folk. Will be going back, for sure.

I needed to change the battery in my Key fob for my car and someone recommended Waldo Hardware. (I’m not from the KC area and had no clue where to go) Mike the sales person was so helpful. He was awesome! Figured out how to get the fob open and batteries changed for me. He was super patient and very friendly! I would highly recommend this place!

I cannot say enough good things about Waldo Hardware store. I was having the worst day and stopped(with a puppy) in to get new screws for my licenses plates. They were so welcoming to our sweet pup and gave her treats. Even more amazing when I asked for the screws one of the staff came out looked at my car, got the correct screws and brought out multiple drills to get the different old screws out and replaced them and put the new plates on. They made me day, and this isn't the first time. They always go above and beyond, and are very helpful in recommending what I need for different stuff. They're a hidden gem in KC, I can't think of another business with better customer service. Totally blown away.

Just bought a house in the neighborhood and needed a hardware store to call home. Checked out Waldo Hardware and have been impressed thus far. The employees are friendly and greet you when you go in.
They will guide you to the parts you need and are more than happy to make sure you get what you need.

They have everything! Especially stuff for handy conveniences for around the house. They also have a great setup of washers, grommets, spacers, caps & things. + The nut and bolt fitter thing (I will take pictures next time I go)

This store is great! I went in needing something to hang a 2ft x 4ft panel across a corner of my room and having no idea on how to do it. One of the guys there (Matt, I think was his name) was extemely helpful and patient and gave me a couple solutions to work with. Excellent service.

Awesome service. Went in for a new sprinkler, helpful employee asked me what was wrong with the old one, I happened to have it in my car so I brought it in and he FIXED IT! Rather than selling me a new one. Unbelievable. Love this place and have for years.

What a staff they are always so helpful. The Head Cashier Mary Claire sent me to the right aisle to pick out exactly what I needed. 10/10 would recommend.

I got six feet of plastic coated chain that we used to hang a chair on the porch. A steal at roughly $13!! The staff is always friendly, charming store!!

We lived near Waldo Hardware for 5 years. We have since moved out of the area but we frequently talk about how awesome Waldo Hardware was in terms of selection and customer service. They really have everything you need and the staff was always super friendly and willing to go above and beyond to help you out. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Love this place. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable! We just moved to KCMO and this is the closest hardware store to us so we've patronized this location at least 10 times in the last week during our move in process. 10/10 recommend!

These guys are about 50 times more helpful than the Home Depot. On the phone, employee provided me info regarding bathroom plumbing codes and helped me find a solution to my problem that was better than the solution I first had thought up.

Great smaller size hardware store! They can sell you electrical wire and conduit by the foot, which you often cannot find sold by the foot in the larger stores. The staff is also very knowledgeable and helpful.

Cannot say enough about the customer service here. Needed help with a water heater and Max was AWESOME! Would highly recommend and definitely coming back.

Great smaller hardware store. The older staff if very helpful and can talk you through most any project. Costs a but more than a big chain but it's to be expected at a smaller store.
