Bracker's Good Earth Clays

I am visiting from Florida and I am telling you, this was the warmest/best shopping experience ever! Alex and Rachel were so friendly, helpful, full of knowledge, tips, and guidance! They came by and checked on us multiple times and offered to hold our purchases behind the counter as we kept shopping. Never had to hold something for too long! Easy way to find new clay, TONS of glazes, and lots of inspiration! Use their local clay! They have such beautiful clay bodies!!!

Visited from Kansas City with my wife for the first time a few weeks ago. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We discussed darker clay bodies and their tendencies to blister or pinhole. They recommended a new clay body to me , showed an artist’s work with it, and shared knowledge on bisque firing to cone 04 to reduce the chances of these defects (I was firing to 06). Very appreciative of their help!

Truly they have everything you could ever need in the clay/ceramic world. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about every single item in the store and about clay in general and they are happy to help. What a gem in the community and for artists across the state.

Cindy and team have always been willing to help and go out of their way to make sure I’m getting what I need. They are almost always well stocked with what I’ve needed even during all these crazy supply issues. If something is out of stock, I’ve always found they are very communicative about when it will come in, or give you suggestions for substitutes if you need it faster. I always look forward to making the trip to Lawrence to pick up supplies and feel lucky to have such a great resource and supplier within driving distance.

This is definitely my favorite ceramic/pottery supply store to date. Staff is always friendly and helpful, offering tips and advice. They have awesome stock of glaze chemicals and tools, and the walls are always decked with beautiful local pieces.

My wife is a ceramic, and she purchased special clay they helped me load into the truck! They liked our new dog!

The absolute best place to buy clay and equipment for potters and sculptors in the Midwest. I love my semi-annual trips to Brackers to stock up. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating.

Since moving away from KC, I have been shopping with Bracker's online, and I am VERY IMPRESSED! They let you know every step in fulfilling your order. It is all done in a timely fashion. When I order ceramic supplies online, I go to Bracker's first. I have to say, there website has been greatly improved over the years. (Bravo!) Also, their customer service is wonderful. They make you feel like family.

Unbelievable, massive inventory of everything you might need from beginner to advanced artist. Extensive supply of glazes, sculpting tools, imprint tools, ingenious stabilizers to hold your thin walled bowls from slumping...all capped off with a huge warehouse of endless boxes of different clays, both wet and dry. The staff are seasoned veterans who are also sculptures and just as excited about clays as the customers. Finally, everything is clean as a whistle...Nothing like I thought it would be. It's a bit of a trek from Branson, MO, but it's worth it to visit a store like this, hit Lawrence for some shopping and eating and head back home!!

Wow! I love this store! It is clean, brightly lit, spacious, and thoughtfully organized. Everyone was so friendly and helpful when I stopped in. I kept finding more and more that I "needed" (read: wanted). The staff asked me questions to make sure I was getting what would help me achieve the effect I was going for. Thanks for a lovely visit! I'm from Wichita, so I can't visit often, but when I'm up that way again, I'll be sure to visit Bracker's!!

Wonderful people. Staff is so helpful. They do carry a vast array of products. I most enjoy the quality of the products they sell. You can tell they choose their stock carefully to provide customers excellent quality at reasonable prices

The staff was so helpful! They were more than willing to discuss materials with my wife and tell her alternative products and things she didn't need to buy a ton of. All were very friendly and the service was quick. They even suggested a few other places to visit for supplies. Would definitely return.

Seriously love this place! The staff are extremely helpful, thoughtful, and personable. The selection is on point. Definitely worth the drive from KC. If you are a new potter schedule an appointment and get out there.

People here was the best.
I delivered a load for them and I called before to ask if I could park overnight at their location. They not just let me park there it also they were nice enough to get me unloaded even though they were just closing at the time I arrived.
They were really fast and very professional!

A potters dream! They had all the good glazes in stock at very good prices. Mayco, amaco, opulence etc... the staff was very helpful too.
