Plaza Storage of Lawrence

I have rented from Plaza storage for 10 years. Though it has changed owners it still offers great friendly service. Matt is good to work with and has been accommodating such as being nice and helpful the time I forgot to sign the rent check. If i need storage again I will go to Plaza Storage.

I expected to rent a unit and that it would be a simple transaction. It turned out that Matt made it even easier than I thought possible. There are times when you simply do business with someone and others when you enjoy doing business with them. I enjoy doing business with Matt.

I've used several storages but Plaza storage is totally the best... I had my stuff in storage there from 2012 till 2019.... N if I had to use a storage again, hands down it would be Plaza storage again... Thanks Plaza storages I'm one happy person....

Matt was great to work with. Everything happened as promised. He was willing to work with me and my unique situation.

Lots of storage options to fit your budget. Easily accessible from 31st just west of Iowa street. Easy enough to drive a box truck into.

If I ever need to rent a storage unit again, it will be right here. Matt does a wonderful job.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and we never had any issues with our unit.

Affordable prices with large spaces and close to my house. Been with them 8 years or more.

Updating. After leaving several SMS messages, I received a call back. I explained my attempts to contact them and that I had been invoiced for an additional month that I wasn't using. The person I spoke to was apologetic and undid the charge for the extra month. I appreciated the ease of the conversation and the quick correction. Hopefully the company will address the communication problems.

They were great when we were getting the storage unit rental established. However, I am beginning to wonder if not returning phone calls when the customer is ready to end the storage agreement is part of the business plan. I placed 3 phone calls notifying them and requesting a return call. But I never get one. In the meantime, I am being charged for an additional month. No one ever answers the phone and all business is by appointment only. Placed another call today. The voice mail is full.

STAY AWAY FOR U-HAUL RENTAL!!!

Don’t rent U-Haul items from this place. They won’t help you if there are any issues and they have no interest in helping their customers. There was an issue with the rental pickup and they told U-Haul customer service, we’re not helping and the customer is SOL!!! They are supposed to be a 24hr pickup location! They need to be stripped of this and never be able to rent U-Haul trucks again!

STAY AWAY!!!

I rented from here before and never had any issues. The new person is never reachable. I have repeatedly called and texted the number. The voicemail is full. I never received any texts back. After all that failed, I emailed from the website. I have yet to this day have not received a response! I have been trying to reach someone for several weeks now. No one is ever in the office. My friend, Jol, who has a unit tried to get into the Lawrence office to rent another unit. Andy told her he was in the Topeka office for the day. Her husband works in Topeka, and he went to the Topeka office and guess what? Andy was never there. He waited for at least 30minutes!

I had a unit with Plaza Storage. When I cleared out of the unit I waited and waited for my deposit to be returned. I've called and called. Andy assured me he'd mail it... nothing. It's been weeks. I still get invoices for a unit I don't have. The communication is severely lacking here.

Appalled by how I was treated. Went in to pay for the unit I was going to rent, and within a hours they rented it out and gave me no warning. So much for having my name in it, right? Never go to this business.
