Went in and their staff was really friendly and insightful. I talked to a girl named Brooke for like half an hour while we talked about Bourbon and the market of Liquor right now. It was a great experience and I wish I could rate it even higher than 5 stars because it was excellent! Wish I lived closer to Ames to shop here more often.

They have a great variety of alcohol. When looking for new things to try this is the perfect place to stop. And with the bar in the back the host samplings and events it's a alcohol lover's dream. You want a cheap beer, they got it. Want an expensive scotch, they got it. And everything in between.

This is one of my favorite liquor stores, as I'm impressed by the variety, depth, & width of selection. When I want a harder to find item, this is one of the first places that I look. Staff is also helpful.

In my last visit, I noticed a good selection of beer, including several types of Belgian beer. I also noted a good variety of Scotch.

Amazing selection and the owner is super knowledgeable. No matter the spirit you're looking at, the owner can tell you the story and point you in the right direction. This man gets you wines you can only find in places like Chicago or NYC!

I first learned about this place during my wine and spirits class at Iowa State years ago. Each and every time I go I have a wonderful experience that I have yet to find anywhere else. The recommendations I receive are always spot on, the pricing is fair and competitive, and the staff (especially the gentleman who I assume is the owner) is always fantastic. This is a place worth supporting!

One of my two favorite liquor stores in Iowa. They have the best beer selection, best wine selection, and second best whiskey selection in the state, in my humble opinion. They have everything you need. Been coming here since it was a state controlled business, but now it us so much better.

The owner of this location was very helpful. I went in looking for one specific whiskey that they did not carry, however the owner was able to not only find me something better but explain the production process of how his recommendation is similar to what I was originally looking for. He was very knowledgeable, which is a rare thing to find in Ames liquor stores.

Excellent selections. Staff always willing to help and offer suggestions. Sampling nights are fun and they offer lots of them. Cellar 626 is a great little secret in the back too. They offer classes for tastings and cocktail making also.

One of the best beer, wine, and spirits collection in Ames. Prices are pretty good. I will definitely return to the store for my future purchases. They seem to have a little bit for everyone, bottom shelf to top shelf alcohols.

If you want expert level help finding that perfect bottle of wine, liquor, or beer- go straight to cyclone. They have great prices, super nice staff, and a huge selection. We've purchased kegs through them in the past and it was very easy. Highly recommend to everyone I know!

This has been my go to place to get anything from wine to hard liquor while living in Ames. They have an amazing wine selection with some good sales that take place. I have not met a worker who did not seem to go above and beyond for me or other customers. By far the best customer service!
