I just participated in the Jewel Mirror Samadhi retreat at Hokyoji. The natural setting was breathtaking, Guiding Teacher Dokai provided steady, gentle leadership, and he together with the other Hokyoji regulars provided a great sense of community. Would absolutely recommend to others interested in practicing Zen in a bucolic, peaceful setting.
