Fantastic selection of meats, spices, and sides!! They have the best T bone steaks and that alone is worth the visit! They were kind enough to cut down a brisket, for an additional fee, so I could actually try smoking one without having to purchase 20lbs of meat! Definitely recommend this place!!

Stopped in here with my boys the other day and it smelled so amazing! Checked it out quickly and came back with my grill master husband the following day! Arrived here from Texas and have been searching for quality meat in Iowa for 5 months! We found our place! My husband snatched up a beautiful steak for dinner and a perfect brisket to smoke over the new years. The gentleman behind the counter was more than accommodating to my husband's incredibly picky meat criteria! Lovely, friendly service!

I live in Minneapolis and 90% of the meat I've consumed in the last 5 years has been from Louie's. Hands down the best products and meat shop I've been to. Freezers always full of Louie's!

I have know Louie and his family for years and years and when you go into their shop they make you feel like family and their employees make you feel very welcomed and like your not a bother at all! Always a great experience!

Just arrived home with a cooler full of what we know will be exceptional beef and pork from Louie's. From the moment I placed my order to pick up for the long ride home, my experience at Louie's was perfect! Everyone was professional & friendly and went above and beyond to help. Our order arrived safely home, packed in dry ice, and still frozen solid. Our freezer is happily overflowing with top notch quality Iowa pork and beef. They best place to buy your meat and everything to go with it. They're meat is too quality. They will cut and package everything however you want. I ordered some cowboy steaks and the cut then to whatever thickness i wanted. They gave a good selection of take home meals and pizzas on certain days. Its the only place I go.

It's a great place to get all sorts of meat and pork. They make there own sausage, and pull pork. Louie knows the ranchers where he gets his meat, and makes sure it's great quality meat.

Simply the best place to get quality cuts of beef and pork. Kathy has an incredible selection of salads now that they have moved and there is more cooler space. Haven't been to the new store? Buy Local! Louie is a great guy, you will find him behind the counter helping every customer and making sure their experience is 2nd to none. Sold there are meats, cold salads , small amount of grocery items and a few frozen items as well. The meat there is great quality and taste. I highly recommend stopping by!

We highly recommend Louie - not only do we make special trips to Clear Lake to buy our chicken and beef from him, but we also had him cater our wedding. It was delicious - and simple, which is exactly what we wanted. We had so many compliments on how great the food was, and we have a TON leftover. Louie and his wife are easy to work with and easily accommodated our changing numbers.

Very friendly staff and the prices on meat are comparable or better than big name grocery stores. Willing to do anything if you call ahead. Large selection of seafood items too. More so than most stores in North Central Iowa.

Love, love, love your cuts of meat and hotdogs . We're going to try your ribs this weekend. A friend a couple years ago brought steaks camping. I grilled them and literally melted in our mouth. I just thought it must of been how I cooked them. We've moved up to Northern Iowa and now are able to go to Louie's and buy are meat.. Tried the steaks again and everyone raves over them. I must say I'll share 40 percent and give you guys 60 %for the best cuts of meat!!! I'd give you more but hey, I cooked the steaks!!

The only thing better than your meat is your service. If you want them to cut a special portion, they'll gladly do it. If you want them to rub your ribs with spices, they do that too. Always smiling faces at Louie's.

Recently expanded with a move to a larger building, this gourmet butcher shop hosts neighborhood style service and products for those who love to cook, in addition to hard to find pantry items. I expect as more people discover this shop and buy, more hard to find items will be made available. My favorite hard to find item is the Gerber Amish Farm's bone in, skin on chicken breasts, perfect for oven roasting or soup making.

Best kept secret, (unfortunately), EVERYONE who shops at Fairway or Payless Foods for ANY kind of meat is losing MASSIVELY value.
If you happen to spend a few pennies more, and I DO mean pennies, you still come out ahead helping local where the quality is much better and the product is guaranteed fresh, not to mention the staff and owners are fabulous!!!

I entered the shmeat emporium, very nice very wel kept. MANY MANY MANY meat varieties. A nice young lad got me a brisket. He handed right to me with a smile, however i could not see the smile due to masks. And im sure louie was also there doing his best work. Would totally get shmeats from louies custom emporium again.
