Marji's Yarncrafts

Small family owned yarn store that is well worth the visit! Built into the back of the original home, the shop is set up in several rooms, which works well to focus the contents of each room. it was part of the 2018 I-91 Yarn Shop Hop which we completed in 1 day - not advised :)
The beautiful shop is run by wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful people. The variety of selection is great.

Great shop. It's now closed and a new owner will open it at a new location in Simsbury, we were told.

I needed to buy some cables to go with several sets of circular needles that I had purchased in another state. I went to Marji's and was looking around. The store owner approached me to ask if she could help me find anything.

The upshot of the encounter is that:
1. I found the proper length of cable for my set of knitting needles (I bought several sizes of them)
2. I located a really pretty (and sharp'1) pair of scissors perfect to tuck into a knitting/crocheting kit, and
3. was impressed with the selection of yarns, needles and other items, along with the good nature and helpfulness of the staff

My experience there has convinced me that this will be one of my go-to stores for anything I need regarding knitting or crocheting.

Marji's is my LYS and they are great! In fact, they bent over backwards for me when I needed a replacement knitting needle during the pandemic and they were doing curbside pickup. Excellent yarn and notions here! Superb customer service. Thank you, Marji and Co!

Wonderful shop that's worth the drive tucked away in Granby. Wall to wall with shelves and baskets holding a variety of yarns of different fiber and weight at hand and very well priced. I was very pleased by the selection that I found myself hard pressed to select between a few fantastic colorways (of which they had many in Koigu) from Marji's collection of sock yarns. I found out they take a bit of pride in all the yarns present and you can tell by Marji and her staff's knowledge of their yarns that a lot of love of yarn and thought went into putting together their inventory. Not a yarn I asked about didn't have something to make note of how best to work with it and that type of knowledge is invaluable in a yarn shop. I'll be sure to stop again for my next yarn haul.
