My husband and I both got our wedding rings from Gem Jewelry and were SO pleased with our experience with Glenda and Michael. Every single time we stop by, we are greeted like family and they clean our rings at no cost! Glenda helped me create a beautiful custom wedding band and helped my husband find the perfect ring size.

Before our wedding, I stopped by to get my rings cleaned and Michael helped me pick out an absolutely stunning wrist strap that I had put on my husband's grandfather's watch. I surprised him with it on our wedding day and he was beyond excited.

I needed some help with my 6 watches. Glenda at Gem was wonderful; we arranged for how I would get my watches there and she called the next morning that they were all done. Kind, thoughtful and at an impressive price and quickly. My new “go to”!

April 2024: And in quick succession two watches needed new bands. Glenda to the rescue. I needed larger bands and she took care of everything, kept me posted and had each one ready when I came back in. So pleasant and helpful!

I've had very mixed results with jewelers, but I came here because I wanted a place that was a) reasonable hours both during the week and weekend, b) would be reasonably priced, c) non-judgmental of my pieces (some were definitely non-standard) and d) *most* importantly- friendly. They checked all the boxes, from first phone call till the end. They tried to help each customer in a timely manner while busy, without making anyone else feel cheated, gave updates about everything they were doing, treated each piece, no matter it's monetary value, with the same respect, ordered a version of the ring so I could see in person before committing to. They helped me save money in multiple ways, they warned me ahead of time of any risks to my stones or pieces, they made sure I was getting what I wanted, they *stayed late* when things took longer- even though I was happy to leave and come back. I'm very pleased, and even though I don't live close, this will now be my go-to place. I worked mostly with Cheryl, but also briefly with Glenda, both of which were lovely.

Also, since most might be concerned with selection, I mostly went for repairs/new settings, but they do not disappoint on that front. I tried on a few that I am considering purchasing despite that not being part of the plan.

My fiance and I had the best experience at gem jewelry. Very professional and wide selection of diamonds and bands. My fiance got my custom radiant cut ring without any issues and Mike did a fantastic job at listening to our wants and needs. Can't say enough good things

Truly amazing customer service. I grew up near Gem Jewelry and am so pleased that they continue to strive for and attain excellence. I stopped by late yesterday for a battery for my mother's watch, and it was replaced by Glenda in no time. A ring with incredible sentimental value was also repaired right before closing (needed to be re-soldered and enlarged). The manager Cheryl was so attentive and went out of her way to try to make this happen for me. I own two service-oriented retail locations myself (optical / sunglass specialty), and we often help with repairs in real-time, so please know that they really "wowed" me. I originally went to buy hoop earrings for my mother's birthday and I did. However I've been searching for an engagement ring and I've search in every site that I can think of. Once I was there I couldn't help but to noticed the beautiful diamond engagement rings. Michael Ginsberg the store manager helped me through the process of picking a ring and a beautiful, shinny full cut round diamond that YES is GIA certified. He also took his time and gave me a few pointers to insure the engagement ring and diamonds. I also like the fact that they gave me an appraisal. I strongly recommend Gem Jewelry. They also clean and resize rings on site. Will add photos as soon as she say YES!

Absolutely love Gem Jewelry! The best neighborhood jeweler. Top quality selection and service. Everyone is helpful, knowledgeable, efficient, honest, and kind. We've had multiple vintage family rings repaired here and also got new engagement rings + bands for our upcoming wedding. They do it all! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

My wife and I went to Gem Jewelry, West Hartford, to see if they could repair or replace the very tinny chain on my wife's cherished necklace. The store staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. In about an half hour, they were able to solder a new small clasp to the necklace chain and then put the necklace around my wife's neck. She nearly cried.

They have been my go to jeweler for decades. Excellent service, great pricing and very helpful and pleasant staff. They also do great repairs as well.

Gem Jewelry is the jeweler to go to. They will replace a watch battery for free and not try to sell you anything. However, it is hard to resist their beautiful selection. Glenda will be most helpful with your selection.

A huge thank you to Cheryl for being so kind while helping me pick out my dream ring! The customer service was excellent. Michael also did an amazing job helping me pick out the perfect diamond and choosing options for the setting. I plan on coming back to Gems next time I need anymore Jewlery!

B o y was I ever surprised today at Gem Jewelers! My watch battery was changed FOR FREE! WHAT!? The two crew members let me know if I had any old silverware or broken pieces to bring them in for cash..

I must say I went back to Gem Jewelry after years being divorced and not needing gems and I made the right decision!!! I spoke with Michael there and told him I wanted to design a Special mothers Ring for my amazing girlfriends Birthday!! He was extremely Helpful and I want to thank him and his nice Staff !!! Gem Jewelry custom made my engagement ring and it is phenomenal. The manager and staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. Even when the store is busy they do their best to acknowledge each customer who walks in the door. I couldn't be happier with the service and outcome of my ring.
