Birth To Three System

I took my son to Birth to three when he was just 2. I remember him being tested, the lady who tested him said that his strength will always be problem solving. Today my son 21 and is a Jr. in College. He just took a career test and the results came back as "Problem solving" is his number one strength. I can't remember the lady who tested him, I just remember it was done at Marvin Elementary School in Norwalk Ct. She was right on point. This program is awesome!!

I’m very disappointed with this program they are so horrible. Except for his behavior therapist she was awesome. I wish we had more time with her, my son’s coordinator didn’t even bother to bond at times with him. The speech therapist was just following along with music and songs. They did help me with ABA referrals but it was just his one behavior therapist. I feel like I wasted my time at times I had to cancel because it was just awkward to have the coordinator come out and ask “so what’s the plan for today”? Shouldn’t they have that figured out????? Horrible horrible horrible I rather deal directly with ABA. My boy had one last appointment with speech she hasn’t even text us to confirm I’m done with them.

Programs for children development are crucial for their growth and success. These programs aim to equip children and parents with essential skills and knowledge. Birth to Three is one such program that supports families concerned about their children's development. However, our experience with Birth to Three in West Hartford was disappointing towards the end of our son's time with the program. As he approached three years, it seemed like the effort put into his teachings decreased. Some therapists had poor attitudes, were frequently late, and cancelled sessions due to their personal reasons. Certain teaching methods were not effective, and it almost feels like they're no longer interested in my child since he's reaching three years. My wife and I requested to speak with a supervisor to switch therapists because our current one kept cancelling visits, but they contacted her during her work hours. Due to her job's strict policy regarding personal phone calls, she requested a call back after work. Our son is almost three, so we wanted to fit in as many visits as possible. However, it has been three weeks and we have yet to receive that call. Despite several attempts to contact them, they never returned our calls or left us a voicemail. It's disappointing to see a program like Birth to Three not living up to its promise of helping children.

My daughter was residing in Hartford for some time. My grandson is autistic. She was referred to Birth to Three. They did nothing to help him. My main complaint was the social worker they sent to my house her name is LESLIE FURBISH. She was so disrespectful and unsympathetic towards my grandson and my daughter. I am currently looking in to filing a complaint against her. My daughter has since then relocated. The services that my grandson receives now is much much better.

Our experience with Birth to three is from the Middletown branch. I have to say that l was disappointed towards the end of my son's experience with this company. Once my son got closer to three years old, it felt as if the program didn't put much effort into his teachings. Not to mention a few therapists had a nasty attitude, was tarty half the time and certain teaching was not effective at all! I recommend all parents who goes through this program to really be a advocate for their child. B/C if you don't... they will drop the ball.
