Hartford City Hall

One of Connecticut's most beautiful buildings! I'm a wedding photographer and recently visited with one of my couples for their engagement session. It was a great time!

Note that to visit for a photo session, you need a permit. The security staff run a pretty good show: sessions start and end pretty promptly in order to keep things moving.

Parking is easy on Sundays...there's plenty of on-street spots on the building's block.

Such a beautiful building! Great spot to do local elopements & other special photoshoots that call for a famcy backdrop. (Permission & purchasing a permit is required!)

I can't speak to how smoothly anything runs here but I can say it is absolutely beautiful inside! I photographed an intimate wedding at Hartford City Hall on Saturday and it was amazing, if just a bit echo-y. There are so many great spots for photos and almost no one else there on weekends! It does require a permit for use beforehand, but it's definitely worth it and you can just grab your marriage license at the same time!

Thank goodness Hartford preserved this building that has been used as a city hall for many, many decades.

Great experience! After going to the incorrect location I arrived 8 minutes to close desperately in need of my birth certificate for my passport appointment in the morning. An incredibly friendly security officer directed me to the right area and showed me what papers to fill out. I was buzzed right in and greeted warmly by a polite and quick administrator. Embarrassed for arriving so close to the end of the day I apologized and was reassured that it wasn’t a problem and was I in and out in with a min to spare. Thank you so much for your help and the no hassle experience.

Found parking easily right across fro m building and no parking meters very surprised at that. This building older but beautiful old architecture and so spacious beautiful! Service was fast .I was in an d out about 20 min.

I watch the Firefighter episode of Long Island Audit ! So those people who work there are super cool and obviously well educated! Definitely beautiful building as well !

An amazing looking building steeped with architectural niceties. If you have to visit one city hall this year, make it the Hartford (CT) City Hall.

Conveniently located on Main St, it is right next door to the Stegosaurus. If you dont know what that is, I would recommend going to the city hall, then going next door to see it. It's really hard to miss.

Beautiful building worth of visit. Super easy to park on Arch Street go in the side door. Get there just before they open and you're out in a few minutes

Very helpful staff and it was a very easy task to get my absentee ballot. And I was able to fill it out and I voted
right there

Even with the covid-19 restrictions it was very easy to get in get your business done and get out. Nice job city of Hartford.
