Thank you for the most beautiful service for my father, location, guidance, and just everything was exactly how we needed it to be. My father would have been so happy to see his memory celebrated the way it was. Thank you Billy for all your help and comfort with our loss. It wouldn’t have happened without your help.
The posters were great to make the picture collages. The prayer cards, candle, and setting was beautiful. The infinity custom flowers were also the most stunning pieces I’ve seen made by a florist. Thank you for bringing that to life, and putting my sister and my pieces with our dad.

During such a difficult time, D'Esopo Funeral Service was exceedingly honest, empathic, and truly appreciated. The gathering was well organized and provided comfort and solace to our family; we are immensely grateful for that. The details of the preparation of my brother were exceptional His face looked like an Angel so peaceful! My brother Johnny's memorabilia area with his favorite teams and collage with symbols of working in golf courses and ski resorts were beautifully displayed. The meetings, with the funeral director and Kelly, were beyond professional always answering calls, and emails, and care was felt by all the family that traveled and the locals, Exceptional funeral staff services.

We recently had a funeral at D'Esopo's after suddenly losing a 36 year old member of our family. I can't praise them enough. They were so helpful and compassionate at a very difficult time. The staff at Desopo are very understanding of your grief and the difficulty making decisions when you are going through a difficult time. They were patient and not “pushy”. Very accommodating and were prepared with options for the service and repast. They help you plan everything! This is our second time using their services and Felt very cared for each time.

The space is so lovely, not dark and dismal, but beautiful and uplifting, like our Mom. It truly was a celebration of her life.

Mr Lessard and Joan made planning my fathers unexpected demise easier than I expected. They respected all of our wishes, they listened and we’re honest with us about everything. They went above and beyond in making cemetery arrangements and for allowing my sister and I to privately see and say goodbye to his body before he was cremated. They gave us all the time we needed and helped us make sure everything we wanted for the cemetery side service was in place and effortless.
The entire staff made us feel seen, understood and supported as we navigated burying our dad and being the next of kin in charge of the entire ordeal with no will in place. I will forever be grateful to them for all that the have done and the support they offered in our darkest days.

Lionnel and staff made a very difficult time for us less overwhelming and we felt confident in their expertise ensuring the best arrangements were to be had at this funeral home. They treated us like family and I totally beliieve we received the same respect, attention to detail, and understanding of our grief and needs as if a member of their family. The entire experience was respectful and understanding. Everyone at D'Esopo was kind and respectful of my mother's and our wishes. A death in the family, particularly of it's heart and soul, is never easy, but D'Esopo made the experience unhurried and gave us time to reflect on a life well-lived without having to worry about the details. When my mother died, somewhat unexpectedly, D’esopo funeral home was kind, thoughtful, and gentle in how they approached me in making decisions regarding how she would be taken care of. They respected her wishes for not having a service or being embombed. And when it came time to officially identify her, the job they did on her remains was stunning. She looked so beautiful and peaceful. I never wanted to see her dead, couldn’t even imagine it, but seeing her the way they made her up, was such a blessing. Remembering her like that puts my heart at peace. I appreciate their guidance in making decisions and the way they went out their way to contact the vendor of urns so that I could get a matching urn (one that matched my fathers). They are wonderful and I appreciate all their support during such a difficult time.

Once again during a difficult time our family turned to Lionel Lessard and the great staff at D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel. They have never let us down and the recent passing of my Father-in-Law was once again an example of their professionalism and compassion. While the Covid virus made a traditional wake and funeral impossible, the D'Esopo team arranged a graveside service that was dignified and meaningful to our family. We have used the D'Esopo facility for many years now and Lionel and his team do a wonderful job. We feel blessed that our community has such a first class organization for our citizens during the most difficult times.
