I love this trail! Come here multiple times a week. On weekends it can get packed, there is no official parking lot but people park along side the road & infront if entrance. Even if it's packed, you might run into 3-5 people. Park is very large with alot of side trails. Full of hidden car wrecks, weird trampoline, but most importantly it has some pretty amazing views in just a short hike. If you do the full loop (about 2-3 hours, depending what trails you take), there are even better views on the other side. In the summer (if you're going to do the full loop) definitely bring enough water

Awesome place to go hiking!! The views are gorgeous, even in the winter time. The trail
Is definitely rocky, so wear good hiking boots. There are lots of different trails to take, so you can end up spending lots of time here depending on what ones you go on. Also note that the parking area is not very large and is just on the side of a back road. I’ll definitely be coming back soon!!

It’s a long hike. We clockwise took the blue/red trail then change to blue/yellow trail finally went back to blue trail. It took us (a gang of five) almost six hours to finish a over six miles hike. There are a bunch of outlook spots to take stunning pictures. The breathtaking views are worth the effort. Recommend to go earlier. During the weekend the trail is very crowded. Find a parking spot at the trailhead could be a challenge.

Great hiking trail. You’ll get beautiful view for the top. We took 5.6 mile loop trail, started with blue-red trail and connected to Metacomet trail and again joined back to blue-red trail while coming down. It’s long trail but it’s fun.

Nice mid range hike with decent elevation and scrambling up or down some rocky paths. Beautiful views and love that it's a loop trail that you can customize to make a little shorter / longer if you'd like.

Great place for hiking! We followed the blue trail and were not disappointed. Plenty of rock climbing opportunities coupled with multiple areas for taking in the spectacular view! This is one of my favorite places to hike!

You often hear about people having a "happy place" they like to visit. Well, this is MY happy place. I come here to look at the scenery, unplug, and reconnect with nature. The quiet and stillness up here is serene, with the wind and the sounds of nature being the only things you hear. Most people you run into while hiking here will give you a kind greeting as you pass, and it's refreshing to know these people exist. 🙂

Awesome hike. Make sure you have flash light and a pretty good idea of your way back down, if you stay up to see the sunset

Well marked moderately trafficked 5.5 loop trail that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

A lovely place that you can climb on cliff and view lakes! I spotted two abandoned cars on trail. How could they be there🤔

Vernal pools, mucky streams, crunchy trails, rocks to scramble over, down and up ravines and the view at the top is amazing! Go early as parking is limited... by noon, the cars were parked a mile down the side of the road.

So the trail and the views are amazing. I didn’t get to finish due to the weather getting windy. Me and my doggie went and I love how challenging it was. I got lost a bit, the trail marks got a bit confusing found my way out but other than that really amazing hike.

This is definitely one of the most under rated attractions to check out. WELL worth the hike to get some of the best views available in Connecticut.

Ragged Mountain is a great place to enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful scenery, interesting terrain, and well kept grounds. Not only a great place to hike, but I saw mountain bikers and rock climbers as well. And a good central location to the Hartford area.

This is by far my favorite hike. The trail takes you across the Ridgeline with amazing views for most of the way. You can even see Hartford at the peak!

Nice hike, nice views. Would suggest sturdy hiking shoes as the trails are very rocky. Easy to roll an ankle here. But very beautiful and worth the trek
