Brides To Be

Came in today to honestly look at wedding dress styles because I haven't been a bride in a very long time. Was greeted right away, and I was asked what style and price range. Told her I didn't really know the style but knew my price range. and she started pulling dresses for me to try on. The lady helped me from beginning to end and I happened to find my dress. I had one of those bride moments when I saw and tried on the dress. It was stunning. Prices weren't that bad, but wow, I didn't realize how wedding dress sizes run. Im a size 4 normally but had to go up to size 12. Was absolutely satisfied, great customer service.

Amazing selection, kind staff, reasonable prices. The lady that helped me today was very helpful. Being a size 0 I was surprised to find a huge selections of gorgeous ball gowns, fit to flare dresses, and even beautiful prom dresses my size. Highly recommend and will check back in!

Love this place! Found my wedding dress here and I couldn’t have been more happy! From start to finish, the ladies who work here are sweet and helpful. A great place for brides, bridesmaids, prom, mother of the bride and grandmother of the bride! I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for beautiful dresses for a great price!

Growing up in NYC, I always thought that I would surely find my perfect gown in the city once I found someone crazy enough to want to be my life partner and be able to keep in step with my peculiarities. That time finally arrived and the unsuspecting emotional drain of wedding gown shopping began.

Driving to the city on the weekends and visiting all the local spots in Western MA and the Hartford area, I found little to nothing. I was getting desperate with no time left for a custom/new gown and having the dreaded thought of settling on a dress.

Consignment or off-the-rack became my only option so when I stepped foot in Brides To Be, I wasn’t feeling particularly hopeful. I tried a handful of gowns and picked two “maybes”. On my way out at the end of their work day, I perused the designer rack and there it was - The One. I felt guilty holding staff a little past closing but something about it spoke to me even while it was just drooping on a hanger in a bag. I had no idea what style or shape it was; I just knew I needed to try it on. The giddiness built and once the dress was on as I stepped towards the pedestal, a ridiculous smile was plastered to my face where it remained the rest of the night. I put it on hold immediately and purchased it within a week.

It took me NINE stores to find the perfect dress and the sweetest staff to nail it down. Thank you to Phyllis and her team for the continued amazing service.

They have a great selection of dresses and I ended up buying my wedding gown here. Despite what some of the other reviews said, I found the staff to be very easy to work with and helpful.

The owner and her staff are wonderful here. They helped me to pick out the perfect gown, by encouraging me to try different looks, and helping me be more creative with my style. I loved it here, was recommended from a friend, and would gladly recommend it in the future. The gowns are gorgeous and the owner even gave me instructions on how to safely bring a wedding dress to a destination wedding (extremely complicated, don't ask). They overall made me feel better about my look and I left feeling like a TRUE Bride!

Phenomenal service, selection, price, everything. I can't say enough positive things about this store. I just picked up my wedding dress tonight. All the women could not have been more helpful when I was trying dresses on they were so genuinely lovely and friendly. Thanks to Cindy, I found my dream dress. I never would've picked it off the rack myself (looks so different in a bag and on a hanger than on a person) and after seeing my taste and shape she suggested what she thought might be my perfect one and she was totally right. The prices are awesome and the sizes range from 0-30 with tons of choices in each. I haven't seen another store, new or used, even come close to the selection. My mom already can't wait to go back to find her mother of the bride dress.

The service was absolutely phenomenal. The name of the woman who helped me was Judy. She was so patient & helpful in working to find me a great dress within my very limited budget. While she did end up finding a gown for me that I loved, I realized that there was another gown that I tried on elsewhere that I couldn't stop thinking about, so I went back to the other store to buy it. However, in general, if you're looking for great customer service & good deals, this is your place!

I bought my dream dress here 8 years ago. The staff was attentive and helpful. The prices are excellent. I loved that they have an alteration service right on site. Easy to access location in a wonderful neighborhood. I had such a wonderful experience, I've recommended the shop to friends for bridal gowns, special occasion gowns, communion and flower girl dresses, etc. My baby sister is getting married this weekend and got a gorgeous dress there aa well.

All of the women here are extremely helpful and sweet, they were so patient with me until i found the perfect dress! They truly care about their customers and making it an easy going fun experience. I highly recommend this store! The owner also gave me an amazing deal on my dress and she is willing to work with you as best she can!!! :)

This is a fantastic place to shop for your wedding gown. I went in to this store with my Matron of Honor/best friend on August 18, 2015 just to browse and get some ideas.there are many dress styles to choose from!! I left a very happy bride to be, I purchased a beautiful wedding dress and I was able to remain in my budget. The woman were very attentive, helpful and fun!! This is the place to go for a stress free and non chaotic experience!! Thank you to all the woman of brides to be for assisting in making my day of shopping the very best!!!!

Wowowow. So many good things to say about this place! Huge selection and prices with someone who does alterations right in store. It makes it easy to figure out what can and can't be fixed on the dress before you commit. Very helpful ladies and my consultant knew what she's doing! Can't wait to go back.

I went in looking for a wedding dress. I was asked right when I arrived if I needed help. Even though there was only one person helping all 3 to 4 brides, I thought she did a good job. My maid of honor helped me with lacing up dresses I tried on (I guess she didn't do a very good job because the person working there only gave her a C+ haha). The dresses are organized by size and color. There were only a few wedding dresses in my size, size 0, but that is to be expected. If you find a dress you like you can hold it for 24 hours to think about it because they want to make sure you get the one you really want. I didn't find my dress here but it's definitely worth the trip! Tip: watch out for rogue pins in dresses, I got poked by one!

The ladies in here are great and they have an amazing selection! I found a brand new designer dress here that was consigned as it was the store dress. A true diamond in the rough. Don’t hesitate to shop here for your wedding gown. They also have MOB and flower girl dresses.

They were so kind and accommodating. They were really helpful with what was in their selection and they do have a lovely selection. They only sell bridal gowns and prom gowns. They were beautiful and have a tailor they work with in house. I really felt great and they made a really stressful (and expensive) experience waaay better. I'm so thankful that my friend and I found this place.

What a great experience if you don't mind doing a little digging through racks. SO much inventory packed in this store. The staff only needs a few moments to get a feel for your taste and bring some exceptional choices! She even said YES to the dress!

I LOVED this place. Everyone was so nice. The prices are the best. More selection than any other bridal store hands down. The women assisting me was fantastic, and went out of her way to make sure I got exactly what i was looking for. I walked out with my veil, shoes and hair piece. If I had known about this place earlier I would have shopped for my dress here as well. I will be going back for the bridesmaid alterations as well.

Wonderful experience looking at wedding dresses - my friend brought a dress she previously bought but never wore, she was able to consign it with this store and found a new dress to wear for her wedding! Phyllis was so kind and helpful, an overall great experience, highly recommend for anyone looking for an inexpensive dress in excellent condition.

We were shocked when we walked in to learn that the shop is consignment and what you see is what you get. No long wait time or wondering if what shows up in three months will be what you remember. More surprising was that they had over 50 dresses in size 18 or larger for me to try on most of which were new. The gowns were beautiful and the customer service was excellent. They went out of their way to find solutions to a different belt or strap and helped myself and another customer visualize what things would look like. All of the gowns I tried on were under $800 and extremely affordable. I plan on going back monthly to see what new items they get in as their inventory is always changing.

Largest selection of consignment bridal I have seen so far. They said they get new dresses in on a regular basis. They offered good suggestions of how personalize a dress to fit what you would like.
