Super friendly staff and extremely knowledgeable about running shoes. A good fit is so important if you are logging miles - do yourself a favor and go here rather than ordering online. Also if you are a triathlete, they have a good selection of goggles and suits. They have been in business for about 40 years for a reason :)

What a store! Really well run. (pun intended😂😂). Love the welcoming feel you get as soon as you walk through the front or back door — whichever you prefer. I got a pair of Hoka Arahi's and my back and leg pain went away within days (I work at a running store so I am on my feet all day). Fritz was outstanding. 🙄🙄. So was Herbie. 👀🙄. Overall great experience, I will be back tomorrow!

Threads and Treads is hands down the most knowledgeable store to find the best sneaker for you. The employees are incredibly helpful, kind, patient, and understanding. The first store in the area that feels more interested in me picking the right shoe, than them gaining a sale.

I visited with a family member facing hair loss. So happy that the wigs are adorable, light weight, and easy to manipulate. Loved the staff members who helped us. Thank you for being there. Well worth the drive from the suburbs. Great selection. So much better than on line because you can easily try on to get a good idea of how the wigs fit and look.

I have a torn meniscus and other knee issues that I have been trying to manage without surgery (with a Dr. involved). It was working until I started walking to work from the train - after a couple of weeks of that the knee pain was back.

I went into Threads and Treads and they listened carefully to my issue, took a close look at how I was walking and standing and took measurements.

They made a couple of shoe suggestions and I made that walk to work today with literally no pain. You just can’t get that level of knowledge and that level of care everywhere and I can’t say enough good things about them.

And on top of all of that everyone in the store was super friendly - overall it could not have been a better experience.

This is the best store for athletic gear in the area. They carry all the best athleisure brands like Rhone and Vuori. The staff is super knowledgable and very friendly too. The store is very well maintained and is always clean and tidy. The best part about this store is that they markdown apparel that is otherwise full-price. I just bought 2 Rhone commuter dress shirts for the price of 1. Definitely worth stopping by if you are in the market for workout shoes or athletic clothing.

This family business has been here for ages, and it's an integral part of the local athletics community. It is the only place I go to buy my running shoes (and sometimes tri gear). They carry all sorts of running sneakers for whatever your purpose, clothing (athletic and some leisure), gu packs and other race fuel products, swimwear, etc... They also put on wonderful races (running, cycling, sprint triathlon, and mile swim in the sound) throughout the year.

It is not the cheapest place to for athletic clothing or shoes (expect full typical retail prices most of the time), but the expertise is unparalleled. They tend to have low employee turnover so whoever helps you is likely to be there the next time you go in...but it doesn't really matter who is there, they know their business. They are great at recommending the right shoes just by looking at your feet, how you stand, and the wear pattern on your old shoes.

Fantastic. I went back in after seven years away from Greenwich; and some things never change. In this case, they get better: Herb who used to run Greenwich Healthmart is now at the front desk. Helpful doesn't begin to describe Herb; if you're having a bad day, just go in to browse. You'll feel better the minute you walk in. If Herb's natural enthusiasm for life doesn't put a smile on your face, you must be from another planet. Mickey the owner is still great; and his son Michael is awesome too.

I love Threads and Treads. I know I could order online but I like the experience of going into the store and getting the pulse of local events. You inevitably run into someone you know. It's very homey and the carefully curated selection is outstanding!

I took my son to get new footwear. He tends to get himself cheap shoes. He put on a pair of Hoka’s and never looked back. This is the best place to get running, walking, etc. footwear and gear!
