Nielsen's Florist & Garden Shop

I had the make wonderful experience at Nielsen’s with Viviane! I brought my great grandfather’s wooden toolbox into Nielsen‘s to see if they could help me turn it into a centerpiece for my dining room. Viviane was so helpful in assisting me to select artificial flowers and arrange them beautifully to turn this family antique into a gorgeous piece of decor for my home. I highly recommend!

Nielsen’s has the best selection of fall flowers at a reasonable. Vivian was very helpful assisting me.

I am a long time customer of Nielsen’s. The greenhouse, the florist, gift shop and nursery are lovely and always have something fresh to offer. Popped in today to see Jan and Jeffrey and their service was impeccable as usual!

I can’t say enough good things about Nielsens. I have been enjoying seasonal plantings for several years and am always elated with the quality and assortment of flowers that I receive. Yesterday Melanie outdid herself with a gorgeous arrangement for my twentieth wedding anniversary! We are so lucky to have Nielsens in Darien!

I’ve been going to Nelson’s for decades. I can always count on the surroundings to feed my soul. Beauty abounds. Vivian’s talent for merchandising and her outstanding customer service, make it an absolute joy to do business with them.

I hosted my sister’s baby shower in the greenhouse at Nielsen’s in Nov 2023. The venue was a dream and the service was best-in-class.

Bob Sabia of Nielsen’s was communicative, creative and helpful in transforming the space into an open and airy brunch wonderland. Bob’s friendly and welcoming attitude made the planning process run smoothly. Bob was attentive to the timeline, floor plan setup and real-time requests for air conditioning on an unseasonably warm November day.

Matt of Michael Joseph’s catering (connected to Nielsen’s) was accommodating to every food, beverage and furniture rental request. Upon our first phone call, Matt instantly understood the theme and vision for the day. The food was phenomenal and endlessly complimented throughout the event.

I can’t believe we landed this venue - it was better than we could have imagined. Thank you, Bob & Matt for letting us host a memorable occasion at Nielsen’s.

James is awesome! Excellent customer service, great taste level…he was quickly and efficiently able to execute my vision for a fall planter for a local preschool …so happy with the results. Thank you James:)

I no longer live locally, but was able to telephone-order a gift card to Nielsen's to give as a Mother's Day present- the process was perfect - lovely person took my order, and arranged to have it delivered personally to the recipient, who told me it was indeed delivered, in a wonderful little box in a pretty little bag, with good wishes. Nielsen's even still had m contact information on file from the last time I ordered, which was great and made the ordering seamless. Could not have been kinder, more efficient, or more pleasurable an experience. Thank you!

Nielsen’s always has the best customer service. Jan walked me around the store, helped my mom and I fill my pots and find everything I need.

I recently started working at an office down the street from this garden shop. I walked by a few times and my lunch break and was attracted to the greenhouse. The variety of plants and flowers is incredible and the wonderful attendant, Jan, was so nice and knowledgeable. I’m looking forward to the different seasons to see what this shop has to offer.

I came in for some birthday flowers and fell in love with some beautiful wheat grass for my home! Leslie put together the most gorgeous arrangement for me and was so lovely!!

Fantastic staff and all-around experience! The flowers were delivered very quickly after my last-minute order, and the staff was very lovely and helpful over the phone. Of course, the flowers were absolutely stunning!

I had a great experience today at Nielsen looking for hostess gifts. Ann & Viviane were so helpful with choosing flowers and helping me put together a gift bag of linens. They are great for gifts as well as plants and flowers. Nice people with lovely taste.

Love Nielsen's - a go-to for us as we finalize details in a home, whether for flowers or accessories, they always help us finish a space beautifully. Viviane is my go-to-guru, she always comes up with something clever for both fresh and faux flowers.

Another great visit to Nielsen’s. Love my Sundays here with Jan, Ruby and of course Vivian’s. Another beautiful 1/2 off Orchid and two new pretty plants with care instructions to boot.’always worth the trip from Riverside.

The only thing better than the beautiful selection of plants and flowers at Nielsen’s is the quality and friendly nature of the staff. Everyone at Nielsen’s seems to have an innate ability to help me bridge the gap in whatever I am thinking and what will actually deliver the need of the day. Thanks for always steering me in the right direction!

Nielsen’s is a fabulous local florist!! I have shopped and ordered from them for years. My latest order I have to comment on… Holly answered the phone. I explained a change I wanted to make on a Spring Basket I saw on their website. She was so excited to start creating it. - Mike took extra care delivering it - he found the correct house, (I had the wrong street number) and called me to let me know where he left it.

Came in for ideas for centerpieces and Vivian was amazing. She instantly came up with a handful of perfect ideas. She was so creative and helpful!
