Hunters' Dairy Freez

The kids love playing on their little playground while we eat ice cream. They have a ton of options from soft serve to Hershey’s and even FlavorBurst.

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. I love that they will hold the ice cream for kids meals until parents are ready. Kids love the playground and it's always a nice spot for family fun evenings!

The double cheeseburgers are some of the best around. Great ice cream and friendly atmosphere. The staff always has a smile for you and is courteous. Whenever I'm up that way I always make sure to stop in.

Fun for the whole family! The food and staff are great! They have tons of food options and ice cream offerings. You can order and dine inside or out. They have a fantastic playground for kids of all ages. We love making the trip to Hunters!

Adorable little place that reminds you of a old timey diner! Ice cream was fabulous, did not try their food (abundant options) but will def come back!

We were driving back to Baltimore after seeing Blondie at the New York State Fair in Syracuse. We often enjoy taking The Road Less Traveled because one never knows what little bit of magic one may find along the way. Hunter's Dairy Freez is such a place. We had already parked at the mega Sheetz across the highway when we glanced across the street and saw the Dairy Freez. It was dwarfed by the Sheetz but we were captivated by it and immediately crossed the highway. This is a great place to get ice cream and the staff are very friendly. There's a very welcoming garden and outdoor eating area. It was a great place to break up our 6 hour road trip. Highly recommended.

Super friendly staff. Great dessert. Old school atmosphere. Got two milkshakes and a twist cone. Great prices, great taste. The staff was really great and it seems like they have a good crowd of people who regularly go. I watched a group of girls order who didn't have enough and the guy behind them paid the difference. Helped restore a bit of faith in humanity to see interactions like that. Will stop by whenever I'm in the mood for a good dessert . Highly recommended.

Their food is ok but their desserts are great. The staff is very nice - remember to rip them!

From Wilkes-Barre and stopped in this little place I saw. Got the Peppered steak hoagie , i didn’t expect it to be soo good but I really enjoyed it. Girl serving was polite and service quick . I’ll be stopping here again def if in the area again .

Magic 100%. It is trapped back in time in a good way. Perfect vibes and amazing ice cream. We love it and we come regularly. Faves include the ice cream sandwiches, flavorbursts, and chocolate malts. 10/10 recommend to anyone passing through our tiny town

I work at the ultimate express car wash up the street. I stopped by yesterday and got a large butterscotch shake and it was the be one I ever had! Also I have to say that they have outstanding customer service and very reasonable prices. They take cash, credit and debit now. I would highly recommend them to any one that loves good ice cream.

Hunter's is one of our favorite places to go as a family. There is a fun playground right next door that the kids can play on. The food is delicious and the ice cream is even better! We are moving out of town and I'm sad to be seeing this go as there is not a small town ice cream shop in the big city where we are moving. We will miss you hunters!

Stopped here while on a road trip through the eastern part of the State. The ice cream was great, service was spectacular, and the grounds were perfect for my kids to play. Eating ice cream, playing tetherball, and sitting on a swing with my wife while the kids played made for a perfect afternoon stop.
