A New Dawn Psychotherapy Associates

As a therapist here I appreciate that my co workers and I are diligent in making sure we are practicing within our scope of practice (referring to appropriate services as needed) and have a commitment to using evidence based practices. I am constantly impressed that every clinician and staff member is open to collaboration and feedback to ensure the highest level of care is obtained and maintained. I appreciate that the administration here ensures fairness, honesty, and transparency in billing practices. It has been a pleasure to work with the team here the last 3 years.

Rana has helped me for some time with getting through things. She is professional and a knowledgeable therapist. We all need help from time to time. I’m so happy I found A New Dawn.

Charles Dixon is great to talk to. I tend to feel much better after been heard and been given advice to apply in your every day life. I’ve had nothing but positive experience’s coming here. I’ve had plenty of people come and talk positively about A new Dawn. I would recommend it for those looking for a therapist.

Everyone here is so nice! Everyone listens to you and helps you. The office does a great job as well scheduling people and all of the above. Beyond fantastic!!!!

My therapist Brian is really great,he helps me cope with issues and he's been a great listener. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He's the best.

I’ve been here before when I was younger and I’m going back because the therapists here are so kind and caring. The owner is helpful in answering any questions and they all are an amazing environment.

Therapists who care, and know how to help!

I ended up going here because they were the only therapists in the area to return my email / calls.

However, after being a patient for 9 month and seeing my therapist regularly, I was removed from the schedule because "typically we do not keep standing appointments when there have been 2+ cancellations in a row."

1) I didn't cancel 2+ times in a row. I was running late for my appointment, I called the receptionist to let them know and told them I would be 15 minutes late. When I got there due to parking, I was actually 20 minutes late and was told that I couldn't be seen. I was asked if I wanted to reschedule and I said no I would just leave.

2) I cancelled the appointment after that because I had an appointment for my daughter. I notified them at least 2 days in advance. I wasn't a no call/ no show. They were aware.

So because I was late one day (with notice) and cancelled the next week (also with notice) I was removed from the schedule with zero notice. A regular standing patient for almost a years time. Not a courtesy email or courtesy text. So when I don't get my email confirming my appointment I called them. The owner told me I was removed for cancelling multiple times. I was in shock because every time I've cancelled, there has always been advance notice.

So now I am stuck to look for another therapist in the midst of whatever i have currently going on. This policy is not the right policy if you are dealing with mental health. What if I was in crisis? For this reason I DO NOT recommend this place.

Also, do not go here if you have OCD... The place is half renovated for as long as I've been going there. They removed the chair rail or border from the wall and it was left like that with peeled paint underneath.

I gave this place 2 stars because I actually did like my therapist for the most part. But the ending to this story in my opinion is completely unprofessional and upsetting.

Don't waste your time here... seek your peace someplace else.

Brian doesn't seem like he cares or even listens. He doesn't make you feel comfortable. He spent most of the time taking notes instead of interacting and is very quick to jump into another topic instead of focusing on what you were just talking about. The women that work behind the desk are great and professional l, but if you do go here. I do not recommend going to Brian.

Extremely unprofessional administrator/payroll/ or whoever Rana is. My therapist is wonderful and was making real progress. It pains me to have to stop seeing her due to the incoherentness of the people handling insurance. They continue to try and charge therapy sessions that are covered by insurance and put the blame on the patient. Texting late at night and during the weekends. I've never experienced this lack of professionalism. Instead of working with the professionals who work with insurance, they try to make the patient pay. This back and forth has added additional stress and would not recommend this office. No customer service skills and no way to treat patients who are looking for support.

Update - the level of unethical business practice this is is hilarious. Having family members and staff members add fake reviews says a lot about the practice. Do better. A rating will not help the reality that is this lack of care. Rana continues to message after business hours and does not cooperate in connecting with insurance to fix the issue. They dont care about retaining clients. A sad set of circumsrances..

I don't even want to give a one star. Buty therapist was awesome. However. They supposedly verified my insurance. Then about five to six sessions in, my insurance said no coverage. They were supposed to look into it. Never got back to me. It's been several weeks. What a joke. Obviously they don't care about anything or their patients. Don't waste your time or money. Now I had to start over somewhere else. Good thing I wasn't at the end of my ropes mentally.
