I went here with my grandfather, not knowing what do get I just knew I wanted a bait caster, and the man at the register overheard me and decided to help me. He showed me a great reel and pole, I told him I didn’t have a lot to spend and he got me some really good cheap equipment. After, I kept shopping around and when we went to pay he gave me a whole lesson on how to use a bait caster and some tips and tricks. It was the best service I’ve ever seen. He even offered extra lessons just encase I’m having trouble he told me to come back and he will teach me in the parking lot. 10/10 service and selection.

My favorite local tackle shop it's were I do all my shopping for bass fishing gear got a wide selection of great baits that other places in the area just don't compete. The owner joe always treats me with respect and always takes the time to have conversations with me always gives me great advice to help me be a better bass fisherman. I have allot of respect for him as a businessman and as a person nimrod Haven will always be my go to spot for my fishing tackle!

As a long time customer ,I can't say a bad thing about Joe, or his dad. I've never purchased a gun, so I can not comment on that side of the business ,but I buy all my fishing gear here. I often find myself at the store way longer than anticipated due to getting into conversations with Joe. They can, no doubt ,come off as stand off'ish, but they are actual nice people. Aa far as prices. Prices are prices. If you don't like the price, don't buy it. If you can find it somewhere else, go buy it somewhere else. Sorry, I can't say anything bad about this place.

Huge selection! I always find what I need here, and I love the 4-legged door greeter. You couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood bait store.

Love this place ! Just don't like that as of last year they stopped selling fishing licenses.

Nimrod Haven Hunting and Fishing store has a very good selection to choose from and the staff members are very helpful 😄 The location is east to get to off of the road and there is a good amount of parking space.

Best selection of high end bass tackle in the area. Crappie, trout, catfish, panfish stuff too... Live & prepared bait, live worms, guns, ammo & clothes, too.

He is very helpful.
Will continue to buy my guns and ammo from him.
