Timothy lake is a really rad atmosphere
They hold neat events on Saturdays and Sundays for the campers
Not to mention the halloween party they had thrown was sick as hell.
Michelle is very warm and welcoming
The maintenance crew is on point with catering to called in needs around the sites.
Bathrooms are a little out dated, but usable.

We went in October so can't speak of the pools or other amenities but the campground itself it nice and clean, very quiet and had a decent selection of available spots.
Spots for the most part are a very good length but some are pretty narrow. They all seemed fairly level. Spots are gravel with roads being paved so good to drive on. We picked a pull through spot for our 36' 5th wheel. There were some nice trees on both sides of us. Most of the spots are open between them not a ton of privacy.
The campground itself was clean and seemed well kept. The store is very small and just had some souvenirs.
You pick your spot upon arrival. Just drive around until you find a spot you like. Our first time at a campground that didn't assign a spot. Kind of nice if you are looking for something in particular. Worked well for us in October since there were quite a few to choose from. Not sure how I would like it when they are busy and you might be stuck with the one spot no one wanted!
Good location although you do have to drive some steep back roads from Rt 209 to get to it.
Overall nice simple campground and we will most likely return.
Nearby Bushkill falls is amazing

Overall, a great experience. We stayed in Cabin 221 and other family stayed in their RV on site 107. The floorplan of the cabin was well laid-out with living/dining, bathroom, well stocked kitchen (for preparing just about anything) and 2 bedrooms. Very clean! It does have a screened-in porch but has no screen door. Given that bees and flies would enter and get trapped and moths (in the evening) came in at will, not having a door on a screen porch is a bit ridiculous. Not too big of a deal though - we adapted. One of the bedrooms has a full-size/ (below) twin (above) bunk bed. There was no ladder to get to the top bunk and even if there had been it would have been impossible to use given the full bed extended way beyond the upper bed. Only mention it because if you have young ones with gymnastic skills, they'll have no problem ... but older folks beware. The larger bedroom has a very comfortable queen but no nightstands or lamps, making it impossible to read in bed without the glaring overhead light. Again, just an observation to note not a complaint - we adapted. The campground itself is huge. Seasonals (quite a few) and regular sites are all co-mingled. There are no tent-sites. The campground is clean, fairly well maintained and professionally managed. We had a few issues (not worth mentioning) that were quickly resolved. There are many sites wooded and private and others pretty much close and open with no privacy. A good mix! Bottom line: we recommend Timothy Lake South enthusiastically!!!

Clean, beautiful campground. Bath houses were clean and in working order. Everything was in good repair at South. It's a shame North isn't as well-kept. South sets the bar high on what a Thousand Trails campground should look like. Can't wait to come back!

We recently stayed over Halloween. As elite members, we’ve been to our share of Thousand Trails campgrounds. This definitely ranks in our top 3. We loved everything. The sites were nice and spacious. Most were really level (this is a huge issue at other parks). Everyone was friendly and their Halloween events were fantastic.

We love going to thousand trails Timothy Lakes south, it’s just a very pretty and quiet campground. Cell service is not the best but the whole idea of camping is to disconnect a little bit! Right? 😁

Great place to stay. Manager and staff are great. They answer any questions you may have. People are great. The campsites are spacious. My daughter stayed in a cabin, they are spacious and they had a great time. Pool is beautiful with many tables and chairs around it. Very quiet. You see many deer, mommies with their babies feeding around the campground. I would recommend whether short or long stay.

Amazing campground, very peaceful and seriene. The two people I had interactions with in the office were very nice and provided the information that was needed for us. We just came home from our trip here so we did not use any of the outdoor amenities that are offered. The lots were sizeable. We have a 32' travel trailer that had plenty of room around it, even though it was a bit too cold to be spending time outside the camper. They have restrooms/showers however I did not use them so I cannot say how they are. They allow dogs, annual people there seem nice. Overall, we will be returning.

We went over Memorial Day weekend. We rented a cabin, a bit expensive but very nice. Two bedroom, full kitchen, full bathroom, small dining and living area, sofa turn into a bed. Nice enclosed porch. The entire area was extremely clean. Staff try’s to be very helpful but as a frequent visitor we do understand they are limited. There is a supermarket about 20 minute ride. Kids have a great time. The pool is small but very nice.

This campground has many shaded sites, some very long, as well as some sites without trees where you can get great satellite and Starlink.

Our first time here. We loved ! RV GPS took us through a couple subdivisions and on a huge pot hole dirt road with a 65' rig towing. 😡 209 to Winona to Timothy Lake Rd to Thousand Trails RV Resort. GPS was off over aile from entrance.

I loved it, the cabin was nice and cozy, and clean. With a BBQ grill and camp fire ring for roasting marshmallows. Pet friendly.
The only thing that it doesn't have free wife but you could purchase it for $5.00 a day for up to 4 devices.

My wife and I are avid campers and have traveled many places ouf of state to many campgrounds. We discovered Timothy Lake South when we joined 1000 trails. It is only 45 minutes from home. We didn't know anything about the campground, once we stayed our first weekend we discovered it we will be back many more times.

SUPER amazing staff! Thank you especially to the manager Michael who has let us stay here long past our time due to COVID-19. This park has done fantastic during this shut down in accommodating our needs to shelter in place. They do have great facilities though they are all locked right now. Easy in and out access, and pretty good cell service as long as it's boosted if you work remotely.

One of my favorite Thousand trails parks. Nice heated pool that is well maintained. It was fun playing Bingo and meeting the nice activity director. Beautiful setting with lots to do within a short drive

Wintering camping, it's simple, quiet and this campground is set up to accommodate. It was a lovely trip, it snowed, it was cold outside but thats what winter camping is the Poconos offers a ton of winter fun.
