The exterior will have a profound impact on you of it's your first time seeing it! The level of detail that went into the architecture is really inexplicable. The customer service has ALWAYS been *UNMATCHED* & really HELPFUL! I'm not sure why the building is for sale, it would make good training grounds (for USPS) or a museum...

Kevin is awesome! If you have to work with a customer service agent you want to see Kevin. He is super patient And ensures that your package is packed and handled safely! Going to the post office sometimes gives me anxiety when I have to pack and ship something and he made this experience super calm

Never had any issues in this post office, the service is great and I always get all my packages here. I wish the hours inside were different to get to my P.O.Box before they close, I usually get there around 2pm on Saturdays.

I actually enjoy going to the downtown Allentown Post Office. It's a really cool big old building, and the employees are experienced and knowledgeable and friendly and professional and courteous and efficient. I don't know what all these bad reviews are about maybe people are talking about a different place or different organization, but I'm actually saddened to hear that this building is going to be sold and the post office is going to move.

Beautiful old building, murals commissioned by the WPA, tile and granite work you just don't see any more. Every clerk has at least 20 years of experience. See it before its torn down.

A historically valued destination. The swastikas in some of it's floor tile do not preserve, or reflect Nazi Germany. They are simply decorated, and as expected, sometimes the focus of protest. Go figure.
However, when you are there, take time to look up and view the historic art gracing the upper walls.

I am a frequent customer here. The two tellers i tend to deal with mostly are always great. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend any advice to save a few dollars with shipping.

I love my post office I stand by them 🙏🙏 nothing like a post man/woman coming to dilever you mail 🥰❤thank you for your service
