Rodeway Inn

This place is 5 stars because of the front desk staff alone. Nice, and friendly. Listen, I gave the rooms a 3 star because they were adequate, but not the best. The smell of whomever was in the room before me lingered terribly the entire stay. Could have just been the room at the time but the amenities were what youd want out of a hotel of that price point. There are plenty of local stores and restaurants within walking distance, and my walk to the Lancaster Train Station was 20 minutes.

I was not expecting much after the reviews. That said I was pleasantly surprised. The place is under construction, so certain parts are not open, and there is some materials here and there.
The room was very very clean, I looked for mold and bed stains and did not find anything. The bathroom was brand new fixtures and tiles. Very nice room, and nice service people.
Only issue I had was the area it was in, kind of loud, and had some characters, can't blame them for that though. Would stay again

New ownership is obviously working hard to make this place nice. It'll take a while,but I hope next time I visit it's in a little better shape. It was hard to find our room because there were no signs to let us know where it was(poolside). The room had some weird stains on the wall, I am assuming it hasn't been painted yet. There are suite doors between the rooms so it wasn't very private. The neighbors in 180 were smoking cigarettes and it seeped under and around the suite doors, so our room smelled like smoke at times.

Hopefully the pool will be open next time.

The owners were wonderful and kind. They definitely have a hard road ahead, but it will be worth it.

I would recommend booking a jacuzzi room, otherwise the place is less than savory. Rooms may not even have a working TV; and don't expect to use the pool...even in summer.

Ok so I made the mistake of doomscrolling through the reviews the night before we stayed. The outside of the building looked really rundown so to anyone this would leave you a little weary. However, the room was not terrible, not the best but not bad at all. I was expecting much worse considering the reviews. Despite all this, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the room was affordable and it was close to just about everywhere we wanted to go.

This hotel use to have great rooms with Jacuzzis and a nice pool but the new owners haven't upgraded anything pool is not open all Jacuzzis were taken out and it smells like cigarettes in every room do to low income tenants
