People have lots of different passions. Some collect, some build. Me? My passion is customer service. It's what I do for a living and it's what matters to me when I choose where to spend my money. Good customer service can soothe even the worst of logistical missteps and general chaos of the world. It's a salve on the wounds of long delays, it's a cushion against monkey wrenches thrown into a process from every direction. Customer service is everything. That being said, one can imagine how crucial the communication of customer service becomes when you start work on something as personal and important as your own home.

We've all heard the horrors that come attached at the hip to contractor stories. Late, lazy, or just simply ludicrous tales of ineptness. To say not every contractor is created equally is a laughable understatement. Price gouging and poor communication runs rampant from the smallest plumbing issue to building your dream home. You only ever hear the horror, rarely the romance. So when it came time for my kitchen renovation, I probably put it off an entire extra year because I just didn't want to deal with the monsters.

From the first second I contacted Maui Kitchens, every single fear and worry I had vanished like so many exorcised demons. Dave Iacovone is the kind of owner Customer Service training videos can only dream about. I felt listened to and valued along every step of the way. From first inquiry, to quote, to job start all the way through and past job completion, I never had to worry if Dave would come through for me. He called me to check in more than I ever felt I had to call him, which was never because he anticipated my needs in such a way as if it was clairvoyance.

Of course there were some bumps along the way, you're fooling yourself if you expect smooth highways through any aspect of life but we were over and past them before I even felt the change in road grade.

From the first contact with Dave and Maui Kitchens, I didn't even think of trying to find anyone else. I knew instantly what I'd found and knew it was going to be worth every penny. As I write this, literally sitting in my new Maui Kitchen that's been completed for 2 months, I can tell you my intuition was correct. Dave is kind, he is professional, he is worth your time and your money. No matter what future projects I need to have done in my home, even if he doesn't handle them, I'm calling Dave first and I advise you to do the same.

I met Dave at the local home show. I fell in love with the quality and style of the cabinets that Maui offers. The kitchen rendering he made for me was perfect. It helped me visualize exactly what my kitchen design and cabinet color and style would look like while it was still in the drywall stage. The cabinets came in a timely manor. His installers were polite and installed the kitchen perfectly. All steps of the process went effortlessly. I am extremely pleased with my beautiful new kitchen.

Maui Kitchens just completed a renovation of our entire first floor, including new kitchen, powder room, laundry room, master bathroom, custom staircase and mantle, and flooring throughout. The end result exceeded our expectations! The work was top notch and his team was always on time, hardworking, and great people. They pay attention to detail and aim for perfection. Dave and his crew at Maui Kitchen and Bath remodeled our master bathroom and turned a blah space into a luxury spa. We absolutely love our new Maui kitchen! What an amazing job by Dave and his crew. Dave's design ideas gave us so much more room than we could have ever imagined. His eye for detail and his suggestions gave us such beautiful combination of color and design. The custom made range hood is gorgeous. He is always available for questions and responds quickly. I had my kitchen remodeled by Maui Kitchens and absolutely love it. It is a small kitchen and I now have more space than I know what to do with. The employees were all polite and respectful. The work was professional and no cut corners. Don’t mind the stuff on the counters we are in the process of organizing. I was just so impressed and very excited on how the finished kitchen looked, that I had to show everyone.

We Are Happy w/ Our Decision to Go With Maui Kitchens!!
We had a major kitchen/laundry room/ mudroom upgrade performed by Maui Kitchens in the send half of 2023 and were extremely satisfied (*****) with the overall experience. We met the owner, Dave Iacovone, through a work colleague that also had a great experience w/ Maui on a large project that went well. We would definitely hire Maui again!
The process was pleasant – We had a fairly good idea what we wanted to do (sketches, photos from magazines) and shared those w/ Dave on morning, had a very good conversation and exchanged some ideas. In the next step we signed a retainer that opened him up to design the project. We had a few meetings w/ updates to go through the process. Seeing the design on the screen was amazing – from that we could teaks, improvements, etc. Dave is very passionate about what he does – and has a really solid understanding on ALL of the products, trends, can help steer away from bad ideas (happy we listened to him on a few items). We went through a few stages to release his ability to buy cabinets, etc. And a few months after meeting his team was in to remove the old stuff and install the new – was fun to see the progress every day.
Dave is a very nice guy – very busy running the family business but always found time to chat (give him an A+ for communication). He does take pride to get to know homeowners to understand their needs.
His team is a big reason for his success – everyone from the demo team; painters, cabinet installers/trim work; plumbers; electricians – they do it right…It was so nice to see some much pride taken in their work! He also has an excellent supply chain for tiling and countertops, plus good relationship w/ plumbing fixture (faucet, etc.) and knob/pull companies.
The cabinets we selected – Cherry wood w/ honey finish is what we selected – are in our view some of the nicer cabinets we have seen (we went prior to meeting Dave to see other higher end brands at local showrooms) – at one point early in Dave took us to a large showroom where we could see all the species, styles etc. and once we selected a few options he ordered and they sent us a few full size samples to borrow and check in our kitchen vs. the lighting etc. Believe he has a few supply chains for cabinets – ours came from Kahle – family owner company in Western PA – we are happy about that decision.
We confess as the homeowner we had some difficulty making decisions – and Dave was very patient (brought good humor when we needed it) but he was always helpful and re-enforced that we need to make good decisions and not rush if not ready.
I am recommended to a few friends that are planning projects to give Dave a call.

We just completed a kitchen remodel with Maui Kitchens. The 3D computer model really helped us make a decision on removing a wall and expanding our kitchen area. It also really helped us visualize our style of cabinetry. We are so pleased with the quality of cabinets and the soft close hardware. In October 2021 my husband and I first met Dave from Maui Kitchens to discuss a total kitchen renovation. Dave listened to our ideas, wants and wishes. He was up front about construction costs and timelines during this pandemic. We decided to hire Maui Kitchens for our project. February 2022, the cabinets were in and construction started. Of course, once walls were opened, there were problems. Dave and his experienced crew handled it very professionally. The kitchen was completely done in one month and we love it. It was exactly what we dreamed about! We would highly recommend Dave and his staff from Maui Kitchens.

Cabinets installer Mark is an awesome pure craftsmanship 🛠🔨! If you want cabinets to be installed & make sure you have Mark to do the project! Other men’s Mike, Rob & Mikey are excellent workers too & nice people to have in your home. Mike B is very particular & intelligent.

Make sure you communicate with Dave for any problems! He is a problem solver & very caring for his customer! If anything not right & he will come back & fix it!
