Cara Mia's Delicatessen

Cara Mia's in Dunmore has been our beloved lunch spot for over 20 years, and we never tire of it! This gem offers a fantastic variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizza that keeps us coming back week after week. Each dish is prepared with care, delivering consistent quality and flavor.

The soups are always flavorful and comforting, perfect for any time of the year. The salads & sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients and offer a delightful combination of tastes and textures. Their pizza is simply delicious, with a perfect crust and just the right amount of toppings. This is one of my mother's favorite pizzas ever made.

However, the highlight has to be their frozen meat sauce. It’s the best we have ever had, rich and hearty, making any meal at home feel special. We always make sure to stock up on it!

Cara Mia's friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make every visit a pleasure. If you're in the area and looking for a fantastic lunch spot, Cara Mia's is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Family owned and local! I love this place. Always fresh, you can buy sauces by the quart which are homemade. Best and only white pasta fagioli I have ever had… I’m obsessed!!!!!!!

I ordered the Strawberry Chicken salad that was on special. It was so filling, I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. Perfect summer lunch.

Sandwiches so good we went two days in a row! The clerks at the counter were very helpful in making suggestions for us on our first visit. My daughter and I followed the recommendation and shared the steak & cheese hoagie and were not disappointed! My son-in-law had a tasty chicken parmesan hoagie. Went back the next day to try the sausage & peppers and roast beef hoagies, while my son-in-law did a repeat of the chicken parm. All were excellent and were a great value! Will have to be a go-to spot when I’m in town!

Stopped here for lunch with two friends after visiting a different friend in the area. The staff were very accommodating, willing the change ingredients as needed for our diabetic friend. Will definitely stop here anytime I'm in this neck of the woods.

Outstanding experience all around. Stopped for lunch with a team of 30 athletes and they had everything ready and waiting, sandwiched were excellent and they went out of there way to accommodate all our requests, would definitely return

I’ve been coming to Cara Mia’s for years with my family to the point where it’s becoming a tradition. My favorite is the chicken parm hoagie but with vodka sauce, unlike anything I’ve ever had. Grilled cheese is also delicious as well as the homemade soups.

Love this deli, literally grew up coming here. Now that I’m out of the area if I’m even near Scranton, I’ll make it a point to come here. Their hoagies are out of this world. I’ve also purchased raviolis, meatballs, and sauce from their freezer. The staff is super friendly. Never a long waiting time whether you order it there or call in. Always a good meal.

This place has some of the best sandwiches I have ever had, at Subway prices- just so much higher quality ingredients! The soups and salads- phenomenal. Service and cleanliness- stellar. The catering services are incredible, as well. It feels good to eat delicious, high quality food- but it feels even better to support local business. Who needs fast food when we have a Cara Mia's??!! We order at work from Cara Mia's at least twice a week. The Dunmorean cold sandwich is my personal fave, and the pasta fagiola. Never had a bad experience, and the staff is hard working, kind, and friendly. Cara (the owner) has worked very hard to maintain a great business, and it shows. She can be seen there daily, supporting her staff, and if you have not tried Cara Mia's yet- you are really missing out on some delicious food. Keep up the good work, Cara Mia's! The dining area is small, they don't wait tables (you order at the counter and they bring the food to your table). The bathrooms are down a hallway and around the corner. All that said, they have the best sandwiches EVER. I personally recommend the flank steak sandwich.

Got the chicken cheese steak with vodka sauce, amazing. Plenty of room to sit and eat there, deli style ordering, so many choices. One of the best in the area, highly recommend

One of the best Italian Delis in the area. If you want a knockout sub or sandwich, go there. You won't be disappointed! And they're right around the corner from Sweet Lush Cupcakes for a great dessert.

Once you try Cara Mia's you'll have a new favorite hoagie joint. Yes it's a deli. The hoagies are above and beyond others. Original recipes, about 7 bucks and good size. Awesome fresh ingredients, great bread choices. Parking on Drinker street is a little crowded but generally I get a close spot on the first pass. Good indoor seating with a street view. Friendly easy going staff. Original family owned business. Highly recommended.

Very good Italian hoagies and hoagie creations - Throop St for instance. Pizza was excellent and you can tell they use very good tomatoes for their sauce. Pricing is excellent for what one gets. Would pay more for the quality of food. Got 7 hoagies and 3 pizzas for under $80. That's amazing.

Hands down the best hoagie shop around. Very unique. Personally suggest the Southern Turkey on a hard bun. Vodka sauce is also one of the best I've had. Highly suggest!

Ive been coming to this location for years just for their strawberry chicken salads, although they were out of strawberries, but they outdid themselves yet again by providing an large quantity of fruit (of my choice) mandarin oranges...yumm!!

Always delicious soups and sandwiches. Everything is made fresh in store. Highly recommend the chicken cheese steak with vodka sauce.
