First time visiting, many times to follow. Sports bar by trade, but excellent food and atmosphere. For being as busy as they were, there was no panic in the staff, it wasn't overly loud and the bar itself was set up very nicely. Easy to see the games on TV, prompt and friendly service, staff helping each other out. Bre crushed it with her recommendations...got a half tray of Old-Forge Style red (light, crispy bottom, perfect amount of sauce) fried pickles and the BBQ bacon bleu burger. Just had a really, really pleasant experience on a busy holiday weekend night. Thank you!

The fresh, jumbo wings are the best in NEPA. My new favorite place for bone-in wings since they changed to jumbo wings. And of course the boneless are great as well. Lots of TV’s, good atmosphere, and friendly bartenders.

Came here on a Friday night for wings! Got the fried pickles appetizer - homemade and tasty! Tried both the regular and boneless wings. Perfect and fried to perfection. The wings were crispy and full of flavor. The boneless wings are also homemade and absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive!

Wish there were more stars. This place is great! Always welcoming. Great atmosphere. Very mixed crowd makes listening to the jukebox fun! An open early and open late, great place to hang out anytime place.

Awesome place. Never been to Scranton before. We're at montage for a bit and needed a place to get a late lunch. Wala! Good beer list and great food! Very reasonably priced. Server was also bar manager. Super super friendly, welcoming and helpful. If you are in area and looking for a quality lunch, locals only, go here. You won't be disappointed. Will definitely be back.

Everyone was really nice! Large bar and a lot of seats and tables for sitting. Food came out quickly and didn't have to wait to get refills on beer. Great atmosphere, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by and getting a bite to eat and some beers. Lots of choices

Been Wanting To Go Here For A While! So Glad We Did...Enjoyed It Greatly! Deep-Fried Italian Wontons w/ Marinara, Vegetable Pot Stickers w/ Thai Sweet Pepper Sauce, Cuban Sandwich w/ Onion Rings! Yum! And Portions Are Perfect w/ Great Prices! Staff And Atmosphere Fabulous! Definitely Will Be Returning!

The wings here are really, really good. I've been told that all of the food is. Kind of felt hurried out the door today. Place wasn't close to full and we weren't done but they seemed to want us to close out so we left. Won't stop me from coming back though.

Penalty Box staff is always great! A small happy hour of 4 people turned into a group of 15 and they handled it beautifully. Food was great as usual!

Love the medium garlic bites! Broccoli cheddar bites are good . We got sausage pizza , super cheesy

Met a group of friends for a small party. Thoroughly had a fabulous time. The food was truly great and the service was excellent. Would definitely go back.

Jalapeño ranch bacon burger tastes like god crafted it himself . Best burger I ever had ! The pickle on the side are so bomb too ..the sweetness compliments the kick the burger has & the homemade potato chips are also so good 10/10 !!!

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out and it was a good experience. The bartenders were all amazing and the atmosphere was really inviting seeing as we were out of towners LOL We didn't order any food but the menu and food we did see come out, looked amazing !!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new place to try out.

Ordered take out multiple times. Penalty Cobb salad large, fresh and delicious. Wing bites plenty and great. Tomato garlic pizza and Quesadillas filling and delicious.

This is a regular spot for my family and I. The food is great, with a nice variety of choices and service is always outstanding! They have about 40 bar seats which is a plus because we'd prefer to sit at the bar. The bartenders are always friendly and very attentive. You should definitely plan a trip here as you will not be disappointed!!

The best wings in Scranton! Maybe in the Valley. I eat a lot of wings in my travels, and I never miss a chance to have wings at the Penalty Box. Jennifer is the best bartender you could ask for. Attentive, and quick your glass will barely hit the bar before she is filling another for you. I always forget to take a picture of the wings, because I am in to big a hurry to eat them. Next time I will and will update!
