Amazing customer service! Amazing food! In today’s World of commerce, you don’t find this level of customer service EVER!!! I called all the way from Phoenix, and done to Nicole, I remember her from being in their about 6 months ago, always friendly and happy with a smile. I asked her a question that I instinctively thought would be a no answer. I asked could you ship me over night Pierogies and some of that amazing chili? She said she’d ask Dominick and get back to me, she called back in just minutes with a YES !!!!! The very next day Dominick is at the post office with two boxes with Dry Ice in tote…. He has never done this before but wanted to go above and beyond.. he drove all over town, getting the material, having folks stay a little later to make it happen, messaging me more excited than even me to check on if it arrived and what I thought… This is an ICONIC restaurant, been around since the 20’s almost 100 years… the level of attention and customer service is the greatest I have ever experienced in my life. I travel all over the globe for food, this is worth the shipping, it’s a must stop if you’re in the area. I can’t say enough great things about these folks.

This place is the epitome of Carbondale charm!!!! Hole in the wall, but THE most delicious chili cheese dogs and/or burgers! Try the fries as well!!!! We love, love, love this place!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Lemme tell yous these are the best chili burgers in the area.ya know the feeling of walking into a small town and being an outsider?these peoples makes ya feel at home!

Throwback to the 60's with legendary chili dogs and burgers, fries, onion rings and typical sandwiches. Very old building. Friendly quick service, clean.

great food, the menu was very simple.
my kids had grilled cheese & i had a cheese burger... food was 10/10, only issue i had was the out loud cursing we heard while eating 😅...i wouldn't have minded if my 5yo who repeats everything wasn't with me, it seemed to be a regular that she was talking to.

This place has very authentic food. Will definitely be returning. Food was wonderful and the homemade pierogies were so good! The french fries and gravy are definitely worth trying an so much more! I highly recommend and we'll be going back!

Haven't been here in 20 years. Taste just as good as I remember! Chili cheeseburger and fries is the way to go.

WOW… is all I have to say. Carwanna has taken the words right out of my month with its delicious array of delicacies. The food was not only heavenly to eat but it also made my taste buds feel like they were doing a Spanish salsa in my month. By the way, not only was the food amazing but the staff was outstanding as well. The chief even helped me decide on that I wanted and he was the most genuine, and nicest man I’ve meet in a very long time. If your in Carbondale and want a good place with good food definitely stop by.

Been eating at Carawanna for years and just love the people and the food is amazing! No one hears their homemade chili they use on Texas burgers and weiners! Great little family restaurant that's been around seems like forever and hopefully stays around forever! 10/10!

Absolutely top notch small town / mom and pop diner. Food is excellent quality. Its a problem for me cause its so close and so exceptionally priced for the quality of the food served. Highly recommended. 11/10 .. double bacon with cheese made with REAL beef that you can actually taste for less than $7 after tax !?!?! Come on .. no Brainerd!! Everything is fantastic !!

I have been dining at Carwanna for nearly 50 years. My dad grew up in nearby Simpson and when I visit family in the area I always make time for a lunch or dinner at Carwanna Lunch. The menu is filled with delicious offerings topped by my favorite, the chili burger. It's the best! Never found a burger that I enjoyed more than the Carwanna Lunch chili burger. If you're looking for friendly place to grab a bite to eat then try Carwanna Lunch. You won't regret it.

Been going here since I can remember. Started with my grandparents. Still just as good!!! Best fries with sauce & Texas wiener anywhere!!! And their homemade pierogies are awesome!!!

There isn’t another restaurant you can get a chip with the owners face on it. The chili burgers are superb and if you love hand cut fries there isn’t another place to get them like at the carawanna! This restaurant has been a staple in Carbondale for years if you haven’t tried it you’re missing out!

I have been eating here for over 30 years. Best burger and loaded fries anywhere!!! Prices are good and service is quick. Kids love the atmosphere as it reminds them of a Norman Rockwell setting.

Great food and great people! If you're looking for a down home chili dog place, look no more!!! The chili cheeseburgers are my favorite and I highly recommend them.

I’m pretty sure this recipe is like 100 years old or something crazy. I’m not a huge chili fan but this is the best around! Really affordable and tasty food! Worth a visit for sure!

There aren't little resturants like this anymore. This is definatly a place where time has stood still...in the absolute best way!
