Henry’s On Clay

I passed this place many times and stopped in today for the first time. The service was top notch. Very friendly and welcoming with smiles. We tried out several of the menu items and they were all amazing. Very fresh and top quality. Great chicken pot pie soup, good coffee, hash, tuna, blueberry muffins loaded with blueberries. Will be back to try others. Price was much lower than I thought it would be. A pleasant surprise.

Food and service were amazing!!! A great place to eat or grab an afternoon coffee and treat!

I have never had something so delicious that I had no desire to steal my brothers food 10/10 recommend
I wish my stomach was larger so I could have finished my scrumptious meal but I was stuffed and ready to slip into a food coma

My husband and I went here for our anniversary this morning. They did not disappoint! Wonderful coffee, friendly staff, and amazing food. Overall, just a lovely atmosphere. The best meal we have had in a while! ❤

Update to this review: we have now had the opportunity to enjoy this restaurant two more times! So far we are working our way through the menu and everything is delicious and amazing!

10/10!! Visited from out of town and ate here twice! Everything was spectacular! We tried and shared it all and it was the best brunch ever. I wish I lived closer to here. The prices were great - I would pay more for such quality food and variety of options.

The chicken and waffles are the best I’ve ever tried. The waffle was sweet and crunchy and paired perfectly with the chicken tenders. The DGR burger was bursting with flavors that didn’t need ketchup or anything else. The chicken pot pie soup was out of this world. Salty cheese paired amazing with the fresh veggies that had the perfect bite to them. Also, we loved that everything came with a side salad (home fries can be substituted). I can’t say enough good things about this place!

We also tried the cotton candy latte & apple/pear crepes. I saw it on IG and was glad I asked about it because we didn’t see it on a specials board or the menu. The latte was amazing - not artificial tasting or too sweet.

Connor was our server one of the days. We were glad to have him - wouldn’t know he was new if he didn’t mention it. Attentive & friendly.

Covid related: most of the staff wore masks and it’s a small place. Outdoor seating was closed because it was cold.

I travel for work and always seek out the best meals while on the road. This one far exceeded my expectations!! Service from Connor was great, coffee was great, meal was exceptional! Price? I'm still too stunned to speak :) I also went to the bakery within and got a bunch of things to take home. 5 stars ! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Been here in Scranton for just 5 weeks and this probably is my favorite brunch place.

We really enjoyed our meal here. I particularly liked the seasoning abs crispyness of the fries. Dessert was also good and everyone was very friendly.

So this might be one of the best drip coffee I've had in all my travels! Such a cute cafe. They have tables outside set up to "dine in" but it can be a little bit of a wait. I was heading in to work and got a few items to go. Omg that blueberry cream cupcake was so delicious. You could tell how fresh the blueberries were, and that chocolate chocolate cake.... to die for. If I am ever back in the area I will be sure to try and eat breakfast here.

This is my favorite cafe in the area for a reasonable and tasty brunch. All the staff are exceptionally nice and make for a cozy and clean atmosphere. Highly recommend Henry's on Clay!

Great, cozy atmosphere. Amazing food. Staff was wonderful. *first time here* we ordered the wake & bake breakfast burrito and the berries and cream Dutch baby pancake. Absolutely delicious.

I am never disappointed at HOC!!! A quaint, well decorated restaurant/bakery with sincere wait-staff. Their pastries are to die for, their coffee is strong (so ask for an extra pump of sugar if you like it sweet), and their food is delicious with lots of flair! (The Lizzie is my favorite, but the Greta is a close second.) This is the "cute breakfast place" you've been looking for in the Dunmore Area!
Just note - there are no reservations, so you'll have to wait if they're busy. Trust me! Wait the 15 minutes, go sit it in your car. You won't be sorry!

Amazing food! Baclkberry-Pear Scone was legit!! The Dutch Baby….FIRE!!! Highly recommend Henry’s On Clay!!

My husband and I must often travel out of this area in order to obtain high quality food due to the generally poor standards of the valley. After many recommendations from fellow foodies, we decided to try this establishment and found our expectations exceeded. It was by far our best meal since we visited New Orleans. We started with the french toast churros which boasted a crunchy exterior and fluffy, warm interior that coupled well with the condensed milk syrup.

The breakfast empanadas possessed a delightfully flaky exterior and a robust filling of egg and cheese. They reminded me of little pie wedges. They were expertly paired with a bacon jam that amplified the flavor profile with a sprinkle of heat. Gnocci being served in mac and cheese is ingenuous because it perfectly absorbed the oh so creamy and savory sauce. My DGR burger was a perfect epitome of the establishment with its attention to detail from the tart pickles to the delicate bechamel and the heat from that wonderful bacon jam. My husband's skillet embodied comfort food at its finest.

Our takeaway scone and cookie were delightfully homemade but also perfectly well-made. The spot is quaint but we weren't cramped. We were seated promptly and our server was kind and attentive. I'm happy to say that Henry's on Clay provided a spot of sunshine in an area that is known for being a bit drab if not bland with its sprawl of dirty dives and greasy slop. We ate here this morning and are already eager to return.

Some of the best 👌 unique menu items in NEPA! Always a hit and tasty fresh baked treats for desert...home fries are a must order...best in the valleys!

First time visiting and it was better than expected! The food was amazing, went for breakfast and had chicken and waffles. The flavors were great, and it was a big portion. And they made a great cappuccino. Definitely will go back many times!

The food is delicious. I recommend to order Falafel and Dutch Baby. You won’t regret it. Also, The staff is friendly.
