It's a beautiful piece of nature right in your backyard. The heritage trail runs right through it and it's well maintained. Plenty use it but rarely see anyone because of the shear size of the trails and the surrounding area. It's great if you want to just get out and walk in a wooded area without walking in knee high brush and weeds. The local river runs along most trails in the area so it's beautiful nature everywhere you look. If you want a place to go and be in nature without all the messiness that comes with walking in the woods. Than your not going to find a better place locally.

Love this little gem hidden in the city. There is a beautiful walking trail here and my favorite area is the river flowing nearby where you can enjoy the water, squirrels and ducks (and probably a few other animals too). The area is kept neat and clean, and although the parking lot doesn't seem that big, there always seems to be enough parking (unless there's a game at the neighboring school- then it might be a bit packed).

Fantastic park tucked right up against the Lackawanna River. Tennis, play stuff, sports fields, and a few trails that follow the river. A good place to take the kids for a walk. Just be careful by the creek as it can be very fast flowing in this section.

Having grown up in the area and coming back with my family it has changed alot from a polluted riverway to a pristine walking trail spanning several towns. It's now know as the heritage trail and is both clean and well maintained with a nationally recognized trout stream. A far cry from the beer drinking parties and garbage of my youth, highly recommended trail that is good for families and novices as its a safe place to hike and enjoy the outdoors in northeastern Pennsylvania. Kudos to the people of the area that have seen its potential and took action to make it happen.

BEST municipal park in Lackawanna county! Busy with life from well kept basketball & tennis courts to the baseball league fields. A real gem, I write this as a whitewater kayaker, this stretch of rapids within the park was the location where I learned all of the basics of whitewater kayaking!

Great little complex with nice trails, tennis courts, sports fields and a path along the river.
You can grab a coffee at Electric City roasters right next to the complex parking lot before or after too!

It's very nice, clean, kept up on and up-to-date. I've never been and was very pleased to see a paved walkway all around the complex. My cousin, who was with me, is in a wheel chair. Not having to struggle on dirt makes his life better.
There are porta potties surgically placed for your convenience.
From the younger children to elder folks, there are benches and a pathway to enjoy the view along the Lackawanna river.
We were there to watch my nephew play some JV baseball. The field is maintained. As were all the other sports courts and fields.
It's definitely a five star rating.

I love this place for the littles or just a nice walk on a beautiful day. Most people who visit are friendly and the park is clean. Multiple different play areas for the littles. Only thing missing is a splash pad but it is a beautiful walk by the river. I don't have anything bad to say about this place. It's usually our go to for a quick park visit.

If you plan ahead and bring enough snacks you can stay here all day with the entire family and have fun. Bring a basketball frisbee and some water shoes. There's no reason to leave before the sun goes down it's a blast

Very happy they do not allow bicycles and scooters to be ridden in this park for the last 30 years. This place has a lot of elderly walkers who utilize this park because of this. Great park and very clean and safe!

Nice park for the kids but some seemed a little big to be climbing all over the playset hindering other little children from playing.

"The Jewel of Peckville" a beautiful and serene park enjoyed by all ages! Glistening stream, frolicking wildlife well kept grounds and foliage add to the community events that our borough offers its residents and visitors. The path around the park gives seniors, disabled, those recuperating from injury and all who enjoy running or walking for fitness and fun, a safe environment with ample parking and benches throughout the Park for resting. Thank you to our Blakely borough workers for it cleanliness and our top notch Blakely police for their presence. 💖

They are making some much needed improvments. New lighting, paths, and remodeled public restrooms. They added a bike path! 5 stars now!
