The Eagle Hotel

Delicious Amish made food, all freshly prepared. I love the ambiance if this historic hotel.

What a wonderful and pleasant experience. On a whim I drove into Waterford to check out a spot from a local legend. Upon seeing this Resteraunt and "Hotel" in town, I decided to stop here for dinner. What a great decision. The person who seated me and the person who served me were courteous and super friendly. Inquired and asked quite a few questions about the building, which they happily answered. Asked a few more questions around the food then I normally do, to which the server was also extremely pleasant about answering. Wound up with the seafoor platter, dressing, baked beans. All were super tasty. The portions were... Large. Large enough I'll get 3 meals off it! The coleslaw was incredible, understood why both the people i chatted with suggested it, and, their homemade pie list was... Extensive. I wound up saving room for the fruit of the forest piece and had it heated up with some ice cream. Super delicious! Sometimes we make last minute choices and they sure do pay off. I wasn't planning on doing to much with my last day of vacation, but I sure am happy I made the choice to persue that local legend and stop at the Eagle "Hotel" for dinner. If you are anywhere near Waterford and are looking for a great experience stop here. Food was awesome. Service was great and the preservation of this incredibly historic building is impeccable!

My family and I have eaten at the Eagle many times over the last three years. Always has been a good experience in a comfortable setting with friendly staff and good food. The prices are fair and much of the food is home cooked style. Service tends to be prompt even when they are busy which they often are. They are located in a historical building and there is a small museum area upstairs. Overall a great historical spot to catch a bite to eat and relax in a comfortable setting.

Sugar n spice was a gem to find. Service, great... Staff, great... Atmosphere, great... We definitely will return.. It was it first visit. .. And yes the food was great

This place is beyond awesome. Not only is the food and portions phenomenal but the servers and owners are exceptional! Everything is delicious but hands down the BEST Vegetable Beef Soup in the world! Desserts are great as well. Worth a visit!

Loved this interesting restaurant full of history. Experience was like a step back in time, very cozy and historic decor. Service was extremely friendly and food was great. Definitely a gem in this part of the country and I hope to be able to come back and enjoy it again sometime.

I've eaten breakfast all over the country, nothing beats Eagle Hotel. Top 10 favorite places to get a classic hearty breakfast of all time! Those pancakes alone are worth the visit. Staff is always so nice too

Sugar 'N Spice (Located at the Eagle Hotel) serves the best pork chops I have ever had in my entire life! The building was very neat. I love the historic town and it's significance to the George Washington legacy.

Very good food just had to wait 30 minutes or more on a Friday about 6:30 when we arrived and was made aware of the wait but worth it . Only disappointing thing is we didn't get there sooner so we could have tried the stuffed scrod which I went for.

We often stop in and have a meal, lunch or dinner, and we are never disappointed with the food, the service and the calming atmosphere. Split a meal so u have room for pie and/or a cup of coffee before you leave. Take a friend or buy a gift certificate and share a smile to those you touch.

Home, made from scratch, food!! Large portions!! Even the grilled chicken salads are big and delicious!! Great, friendly service!! A definite place to stop!!

Every time I come home to visit I get tubs of their chicken salad. It’s literally the best out there.
