It was my first time camping here. Leon the owner was super friendly, hospitable and helpful. The campsite itself was clean, beautiful and peaceful. There was a nice table and campfire set up and was fairly easy to find. I would highly recommend coming here for a nice weekend getaway. Would definitely come back in the future and I overall enjoyed my stay. :)

We went primitive camping for the first time and this was the best place to start! We will definitely be regulars!! Owners are very sweet and explain everything you need to know. Check in is simple and easy, cash only which makes everything 10x easier. You can grab $10 bundles of wood here, or get your own from the surrounding woods (as long as it's dead). There is a picnic table and fire pit already there for you as well!

My first time ever going primitive camping. Indian Creek Camplands did not disappoint! The area is in the mountains so make sure you have a vehicle that can handle inclines and semi tough terrains (which is what you will be driving through to get to your camping spot- NO JOKE!). The camp was beautiful- surrounded by trees! It was peaceful- you will hear all of what nature has to offer- bird sounds that my man and I have never heard of before. You will see lots and lots of stars so be sure to stay up to see them because it was magical! Not only that, we saw the International Space Station moving! That was pretty awesome! Dogs are welcome ☺ PLEASE PLEASE clean up after your dog and yourself! The campsites are clean and people should help to maintain it that way!

The owners do a great job keeping the campsites clean. There are portable potty throughout and a bathhouse by the owner’s house. We didn’t use either of them but one of the other campers said the porta potty was clean. We only met one of the owners who is a great host and very nice! READ EVERYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE! It is a great read- very informative!!

The only “negative” thing I can say is the creek isn’t as close or easy to find but if you’re the adventurer type then I’m sure you’ll find it! We went to Ohiopyle (suggested by the owner we met). It turned out to be a nice place to visit.

If you are looking to getaway from the hustle and bustle of life; this is the place! If you want to connect with nature then visit here! You will have to find your own entertainment if you don’t want to just be sitting around or walking around. Again, READ WHAT IS ON THEIR WEBSITE! ☺

We will definitely be coming back, they were very nice and welcoming to our group of 4. Our site has a gorgeous view and nice large cleared area for our 2 tents. And the privacy is even better! Finally found a campground you can enjoy instead of constantly hearing neighbors or having a bunch of people walk past you. Highly recommend!

Wonderful campground! The proprietor is so kind and helpful. I am not overstating it when I say this place is STUNNING! Quiet, calm, and a butterfly watcher's dream!

Perfect semi-primitive camping site. Pretty much all the sites are well spaced that you probably won't hear a single other camper unless they're yelling. There is a very nice bath house down at the house but you will definitely be using the woods more than the bath house, unless you like to walk. The couple who owns it are super nice and will do what they can to help you out. Most of the camp sites you WILL need a 4wd truck/SUV if you want to drive to the campsites yourself, but they have a truck and are happy to transport you, your dog, and your stuff. The creek is beautiful and there are many trails for hiking. Perfect place to hone your camping skills for bigger adventures, definitely will be coming back!

Me, my bf, and dog just left here after spending the weekend, and it was AMAZING!!! Good vibes throughout the whole campground. The owner Leon was beyond great and very welcoming. We were able to choose our own site which was great, it was so secluded its everything you would want while camping. If you dont like to rough it, this is not the place for you. Can't wait to go back!!!

An absolutely delightful experience! It is primitive. The owner, Leon, is a great guy! Very friendly. You will need AWD to get up to some of the higher spots. All the camp sites are secluded from each other and offer some of the best camping around! Will definitely be back here!

Campgrounds are immaculately, and very private and secluded for a much more intimate outing than is possible at a public campground.

I can't talk up the owners and the staff enough. They're real salt of the earth characters that are highly invested in your enjoying your stay. Chat up the owner if you can, in life, one seldom gets to see the self-actualized man up close.

Great place to primitive camp. The owner is great. He was very friendly and even offered us a beer out of his beer vending machine.. we will definitely be returning as it’s only about a hour from Pittsburgh. You will need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. An AWD car will have no problem down bottom and may even get up top. We took a truck and only needed 4 wheel drive in the rain.

Indian Creek Camplands is a fantastic and affordable place to get away for a few days. Each campsite is very spacious, private, and creates a great environment. The owner is extremely nice and personable and will accommodate your firewood needs at great prices. There is an incredible swimming spot just about a 25 minute hike away which is great because you've worked up a decent sweat by the time you get there. I highly recommend these camp grounds for the whole family.

Absolutely loved my stay at this campground. The owner is a really friendly guy and makes sure you're well taken care of. Very secluded sites that are far apart. Prices are extremely reasonable. AWD is recommended as none of the roads are paved. If you are after true camping in the wilderness with little to no amenities, this is the place for you.

My favorite place to get away from it all is Indian Creek Campland. The sites are extremely far apart for seclusion, privacy and plain old peace n quiet. With giant, ancient trees that go on as far as the eye can see - we feel like we stepped back in time every time we camp there! The stars at night seem to be just out of arms reach, and the small wildlife during the day is sure to entertain! I always tend to leave a little disappointed, because once i experience a weekend of pure serenity, its hard to go back to my normal, hectic life!! I plan to spend many more weekends at my favorite campland! Thanks to Leon(owner) and his sweet wife for making our weekend visits as stress free as possible! Try it! U wont want to (primitive) camp anywhere else once u do!

The camp space was very big, the bathroom facilities were extremely clean. The owner was nice, offered us rides and made sure we didn't need anything. The property is large and there are several private sites. There is a bit of a hill climb to get to the sites up the mountain, AWD is recommended, especially if the ground is wet.

Primitive camping surrounded by trees and mountains (there is a full bathroom down the hill if you want to drive). Great view and area to camp in. You will need a good 4 wheel drive vehicle to get you up the trail to the sites though. No sedan could get up to them.

This place is GREAT! You owe it to yourself and whomever you wish to experience the greatest camping adventure in western PA. Come on down for a nice quiet camp site, a quick dip in Indian Creek, or try and spot the illusive Bigfoot family that is rumored to stalk the grounds.

Went and checked the site we wanted. Such a beautiful place deep in the woods. Can't wait until we stay there
