Ace Hdwe of State College

Really nice workers here. They helped me copy a key and made sure it came out alright. They will not copy keys that say "do not duplicate" which is a bummer but makes sense because of all the students/apartments in the area.

Everyone here is awesome! Kevin is very very awesome !! He went way above and beyond to help me! I had a big important project falling apart, and I was on a deadline. He helped me fix everything and went beyond my expectations! He saved the day!!

Ben was super helpful in getting me a new pair of car keys. My overall experience was very positive.

This is our go-to store for almost everything! This store is staffed so well with knowledgeable and very helpful team members. It reminds us of the stores long ago when the staff really cared about their customers. The owner just delivered and set up our new grill for us on our back deck. Amazing customer service!

This is the only retail store that I have always left in a better mood than I went in, which is weird to say about a hardware store, but the staff are so friendly, helpful, and approachable, have always offered any relevant advice or just pleasant atmosphere. 10/10 would always purchase any home/hardware needs from this store.

My older jeep would often not start and was shutting off unexpectedly. I was told the ignition key was bad. I checked with the dealer and their price was nearly $100 more than Ace's price. I was also lucky enough to get Benjamin Rudnik, the Asst. Mgr, who not only programmed a new key fob for me but using a diagram, located and replaced the one tiny fuse out of twenty that had burned out and was causing the problem.

I love the local flavor of the store and their prices are usually competitive with online and big box stores. The staff is always willing to help and can quickly point you to what you're looking for. I would much rather go here and support my local hardware store than wander around lost in a big box store

Definitely my first choice in hardware stores. As others have mentioned, they may not have the widest selection, but they have at least one of everything you need. When it comes to plumbing fittings they actually have pvc parts that you can't find at Home Depot. The staff is friendly and almost like family after many years of shopping there weekly. Finally, for convenience they can't be beat.

The atmosphere is welcoming. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The store is clean and organized. We enjoyed our visit for the few items we needed and picked up some other items that were not on our list too!

I was in and out in a matter of minutes thanks to great service provided by Dan! He effortlessly helped my mom and I find the 3 things we were looking for and was extremely friendly. I will definitely be going back to Ace for anything hardware related thanks to Dan!

Had an excellent experience here. Staff is very knowledgeable and happy to give advice about what products are best, not just what they can sell that's the most expensive. Truly the place with the helpful hardware folks!

Scott really knows mattresses and is so friendly and helpful! We looked at every mattress store in the area, and none could compare to his prices, value, and expertise. We’ve bought three mattresses from him—wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Incredibly helpful staff, and the store isn't so huge that it takes 20 minutes to find what you're looking for, yet has a little bit of everything. It seems like we go every day when we are in the middle of a house project, and they have exactly what we need. So glad to have Ace Hardware on the south side of town.

Stopped by here to purchase an item that I could not locate at any of the big box hardware stores in a two county radius. Staff was eager to please and friendly. I would highly recommend.

It is very rewarding to shop where all employees are knowledgeable and enjoy what they are doing. Selection is extensive as well
