Always a fantastic time here. The food is excellent (HIGHLY recommend any item on the menu with brisket) and it’s a nice, relaxing place to hang out. The staff has always been super friendly and with it being along the canal you have the option for canoe/kayak rental or to walk along the trail. I also love the ducks that hang around 🦆

Great place to relax. The deck on the canal is awesome. Half priced burgers on Wednesday is awesome. 6.50 for a fitz burger and fries. Our waitress is always awesome wish I could remember her name. All around great place to eat. Although the one thing that bugs me is their mozarella sticks are 10 and u get 6. That's very expensive and far more higher then other local places.
Spiked hot chocolate is delicious

I’ve been coming to the Fitz since I was a teenager, but this was by far the best experience I’ve had which says a lot since I’ve been a longtime customer anyway. The inside of the restaurant’s renovations have perfectly maintained the history and cozy rustic feeling of the building while being modern enough and tasteful. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, service was great, and the food and drinks were incredible. Zero complaints and I would absolutely recommend to anybody.

Great place with really good food and drinks. The staff provides great service and the owner, Frank, is a very nice guy. The holiday dinners to go are so freaking good too.

Truly stunning. A amazing place to socialize and eat. Fantastic staff and scenery. Downsides are minimal but there are a few.

What an amazing place to eat. Coming in the vibe and community was so positive. )It’s spring of writing this) People were canoeing and some younger people were bringing floaty tubes to the lake not too far away. The welcoming was warm and happy and the staff were so composed. Main dining hours are dinner time I believe. Very clean facility. The deck is where we ate, such a stunning view. Watching people flow down the stream and seeing the wildlife from a distance was a STATEMENT. The food was good, we had “Wings,” “Crab Rolls,” “Fish and Chips” and “Ribs(1/2 rack)” All pictures shown below. All in all good and atmosphere WAS ON POINT.

Downsides. Every restaurant has some. This was based on personal experience only. The wait was long, and our waitress was very absent while us dining. Some food was cold as well. Our waitress was amazing and joyful, when main time dining time came in she wasn’t out very much. We had to ask other waiters for drink refills and other necessities. Our “Crab Balls” were very cold and very bread filled. Little to no crab at all in them.

All in all, such a good place to pick up a bite to eat. And WILL recommend to others around the area. You’ll see me back there in a jiffy.

Sometimes I give 5 stars before even sampling the food or drink. I did it here because they were wonderful from the moment I arrived. I didn’t make it past the delicious smell of bbq that intoxicated. The staff was so friendly and helpful. And the prices… great deals. Made me shake my head at what bbq places in Philly charge. And then I tasted. Worth it! The gentleman who created the Trail Cup is a genius along the lines of Steve Jobs - the savory, sexier cousin of the yogurt parfait with layers of mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and brisket. I better take a picture of this before I eat it all!

We were headed home and looked up restaurants in the area we were in and I choose this one. It was right on the river and had a nice outdoor dining and bar. Live music outside. We had great food and drinks. We recommend.

Weather just got super nice for outdoor dining, and we were looking for a spot to take advantage of it.
Well, can’t get better than sipping beer on a river bank, enjoying the breeze and music!
Food was good (Maryland Crab Burger & Whisky Burger), beers were cold.

Mimosa flights. Need I say more. Ok, yes. If you're looking for a different kind of brunch, Fitzwater could quench your thirst. BBQ style, hangover cure, hair of the dog, etc etc, checkout Fitzwater. There were 6 of us on the enclosed heated porch with views of the canal. I had a Mexican omelette. It came out with some shredded beef and loads of cheese, side of potatoes, bread, and added bacon. To wash this grub down, I added the Mimosa flight. Four healthy servings of different flavors. If you're into coffee, there's instant coffee. Not recommended. It's close to Phoenixville, with plenty of parking.

After a nice walk on the Schuylkill River Trail, my son and I had lunch at Fitzwater Station. We sat outside where we had a wonderful view of the canal. We saw turtles, geese, ducks, and fish. Such a nice view! The food was excellent! Our server, Sam, went out of her way to make it comfortable for us. What a nice day!

WOW! I almost didn't write this review because I wanted to keep this place a secret :-) What a hidden gem! Fitzwater Station is tucked backed in the woods, along a beautiful canal, and features a lively deck, cool bar, and AMAZING food. I've lived in the Greater Philadelphia Region my entire life and have visited hundreds of restaurants...this place is at the top of my list for an all around experience. On top of everything, the owner Frank is friendly, accommodating, and it's obvious he cares a great deal about making Fitzwater Station the best restaurant you will visit. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a cold one and grab a bite to eat, you won't be disappointed. Thanks again Frank for having us last weekend, we will be back soon! Nate

My boyfriend and I recently ordered two take out Caesar salads with grilled shrimp from a local Long Island favorite restaurant we frequent and we were so disappointed with them. I was visiting family here in PA and we stopped in at Fitzwater Station. My son in law said he heard the sandwiches were really good but not wanting bread I told my sad Caesar salad story and tried again. My salad was amazing!! I hear the shrimp po’ boy sandwich was likewise delicious. Great food at reasonable prices. Fitzwater Station come to Long Island!!

I've never had anything but excellent experiences here. Just went again last night with the family (and dog!) and felt the need to finally write a review. The food is excellent, including the BBQ fare. I had their wings for the first time last night, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best wings I've ever had. Selection overall is great, and the prices are very reasonable - especially the mixed drinks, which tend to be marked up ridiculously at most other restaurants. Our server (Jordan?) was phenomenal and handled the full deck area with exactly the right amount of attention and impeccable accuracy. To top it off, the location is great, situated right alongside the canal.

The ribs - Fall off the bone delicious. So tender. Melt in your mouth didn't even need extra sauce. Corn bread also great. The view was perfect. The beer choices were amazing!
