Lou Matteo at Edgemont Automotive is the best. The battery in my car appeared to be dead in the parking lot a few doors down from his store. Lou saw me trying to jump start it and offered to help. Turns out it was a loose battery cable, which he tightened for me. Despite my insistence, he wouldn’t accept any payment for the help he provided. A true gentleman.

The team here handles all kinds of vehicles and services. The service is “first time fix it” reliable, fast and friendly. They have my business. I’m glad they’re nearby. Thanks to Rich and Lou and the team!

Used Edgemont Auto twice now. The first time was just for an oil change. I didn't mention that the brakes felt off as I had previously taken it to the dealer to get checked and they told me they couldn't find anything wrong and that it was normal for an older car. Edgemont Auto called to tell me they could feel something was off and their suggestion for trying to diagnose which I agreed to. It didn't take them long to not only find the issue but also order the part and do the repair. The total cost came in a bit lower than the amount they estimated and the difference in the brakes was immediately obvious. The second time was for an inspection. They found issues (as expected on an older car) but were upfront about what must be done to pass inspection and what could wait and provided a detailed list on the repairs I opted not to have done yet along with estimates so I could plan for them. Again they ordered parts and made the repair very quickly and the cost was under the estimate as well as the estimated cost for the service found online. The staff is friendly and willing to take time to walk through anything. They schedule appointments quickly. Quality service and I don't leave feeling like I was ripped off like many mechanics!

This is hands down one of the BEST car shops I have ever had the pleasure of working with. My car went to, TWO shops prior to Edgemont & both places gave me a nonsense diagnosis; just trying to scam me for money. I brought it to Edgemont, within a few hours they called back telling me exactly what my car needed (non of which was anything anyone else said) & the prices were reasonable & right. The workers were accommodating & friendly. My car was returned as good as new & the honesty of this place was incredible. DEF will be back when I have another car issue. Lou, Richie, Chris and young Lou (and the others) are the best out there! Always looking out for our best interests (wallet) while making sure we're safe. I've sent multiple people there, including family, and everyone goes back again.

No rip off here!!! Louis Mateo is the BEST mechanic. He has a GREAT staff and they fix what’s broken. I highly recommend their services. We service 5 vehicles with them.

My family has been using Edgmont Automotive for 20 years +? for work and personal vehicles. I have gone to other places because they were closer to where I lived at the time and have decided the extra driving is well worth it!!! They have even given me advice when I was having car issues and traveling out of state. They’ve also gotten me in the shop when the dealership could not for a week and quickly identified and fixed a potential serious safety issue that the dealership had actually caused 😬Not only are they very knowledgeable about all different makes and models, they are HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY. Can't say enough! This is where we will take my truck for now on! My truck is my baby and i need it to be safe especially when hauling horse's. I knew something was wrong with it and it had been in and out of a shop we use to use... every time i was told nothings wrong with it 🙄 and each time paid for other things but never got answers for what i was hearing and feeling in that truck.. finally a friend recommended Lou and we couldn't be happier! He found the problem right away and just how unsafe my truck was! He fixed it and in no time! There should be more than 5 stars! He saved us from much bigger problems!

I was referred to Bob at Edgemont Automotive for a scratch on my car. He drove to the dealership where my car was getting worked on to give me a quote, fit me in the same day, and got the scratch out! When I asked him what I owed him, he said "Nothing", and sent me on my way. I was blown away by both his professionalism and kindness.

Edgemont is the best for quality service of any vehicle. Very honest. If you tow horses they understand what is needed and make sure that you are ready and safe for travel.

I’m very picky about where I take my car. Edgemont has been the best mechanic I’ve had. They are honest, on time, reasonable and always get the job done the first time. I send all my friends and family here.

The people working here are some of the kindest, helpful human beings you will ever find. Combined with their expertise in automotives, you can't possibly go wrong. Friends had recommended this place to me when I first moved to the area and I am grateful. Particularly for someone who doesn't know anything about cars, trucks or trailers, they put you at ease, help you understand the problem and options for resolving it and without even having to say it specifically, you know that you will be well taken care of. Fortunately, the shop is very close to my home, but this would be a service well worth going out of your way for.

It's not a myth. The honest mechanic does exist and they all work there. The owner (Lou) told us our vehicle would be to expensive to fix for the value of the car. Also how dangerous it was and warned me that it's not safe for kids to even be in it. multiple systems could fail and to be very careful. He even offered to help us locate a cheap safe vehicle that we could afford. The owner (Lou) really works in the garage just because he loves it. Thank you Lou and the rest of your guys for keeping the safety of my family in mind.
