Mendenhall Inn Restaurant

This place was truly magical. The food and service was excellent during the party we attended. The staff made sure everyone was accommodated and had everything they needed.

We just got married at Mendenhall Inn and I can’t say enough great things about our experience! We worked with Gianna and she truly is one of the nicest people on earth. She made the process so smooth and was always super responsive! She really made such a stressful time feel so relaxed. Dottie also stepped in on to help occasion and was wonderful when we interacted with her!

They listened to everything we needed to happen for the ceremony in the ballroom and it turned out beautifully. The food was amazing and there was so much of it! We rented the Mendenhall Room for getting ready and it was HUGE and perfect for eating breakfast the morning of the wedding and had lots of plugs for the hair and makeup team.

We got married in the Grand Ballroom and it was so beautiful and everything I needed to make my wedding vision come to life! The drinks at the bar were perfect and multiple people told me how good the bartenders were. It was so convenient having everything on-site. We also loved doing the after party at the bar on-site and we got to hang out with the other wedding, too!

Overall, I could not recommend Mendenhall Inn more. It’s beautiful, convenient, and the staff couldn’t be more fantastic!

Mendenhall is a nice place for to have a wedding ceremony and reception. We had a wonderful overall experience. The location is great and having everything at one spot during a hot day in August can not be any better. The ballroom has beautiful spiral staircase and chandelier that is great for pictures. I would highly recommend this spot everyone.

Exceptional service! Stayed in hotel, customer service was great! Ordered dessert for room service, was delivered efficiently and quickly. Dinner in restaurant was spot on! Had maple glazed salmon and the filet mignon. Filet was cooked as ordered. Also highly recommend the raspberry appetizer.

We got married at Mendenhall Inn in February 2024 and we could not recommend it more, we had high expectations and everything was above and beyond what we could have imagined! Not only is Mendenhall an all inclusive, gorgeous venue (we had our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, reception, after party, and hotel room block all onsite) but they also have the most incredible team of people too. We could write a whole novel about how amazing Gianna is but truly her organization, proactivity, and welcoming demeanor made our wedding planning process and the execution of our big day so seamless and amazing. If you are amidst the search of finding the perfect venue, stop right here - they have it all!

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience here this past week. I was greeted by an incredible bartender, who knew how to make phenomenal drinks I believe his name was Billy. And this young man I think his name was Zac walked up to me and asked if everything was good, and I had to say it was beyond belief. The staff are extremely friendly. The prices are more than reasonable, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. I will not only be a regular here from now on, but I will make sure to bring everybody that I know in love to this wonderful bar/restaurant.

The Mendenhall was the PERFECT place for our wedding reception! We have been coming here for years to dine at the restaurant because the food has always been excellent and we have always had a wonderful experience! Planning our wedding was no different. The attention to detail and recommended vendors made organizing a breeze!

We also loved the location. The ballroom was absolutely exquisite with the beautiful spiral staircase and glistening chandelier. We couldn't have asked for a more stunning venue. We also loved that the hotel, ballroom, and restaurant / bar were all in the same place. This was a great benefit to have as we had an after party at the bar and everyone was able to easily go back to their room.

I am so glad that we decided to book our wedding here and highly recommend it to everyone! They will truly go above and beyond for you - you will not regret it!

We had a beautiful dinner, the restaurant was able to squeeze in a large party last minute after another place nearby mistakenly gave away our table. We were able to celebrate my grandfather’s 87th birthday with the help of the amazing staff and ended up having a truly wonderful evening. Will absolutely be back.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner on May 22, 2024. The Wednesday special was surf and turf. The price of the meal included an appetizer, two sides and dessert. We both enjoyed Snapper soup for the appetizer. My wife is Brazilian and did not know what Snapper Soup was. I was trying to explain to her that typically snapper refers to Red Snapper. Boy was I mistaken! The soup was absolutely delicious!... but it certainly wasn't fish! It had an uncious, beefy flavor to it. 🤔I was quite perplexed, but totally loved the soup. I sent my compliments to the chef and the maîtree (Mario). It wasn't until I returned home and did a Google search on 'Snapper Soup' that I realized snapper was referring to snapping turtle😏. It can also refer to a beef version (sans turtle, sans fish). I'm pretty sure this version was made with beef... but it was absolutely delicious!

For the main course we both had filet mignon. We ordered it medium-rare. Perfectly cooked! My wife had stuffed lobster tail. She said it was delicious. The presentation of the stuffed lobster tail was excellent...grill marks on the shell. I had a crab cake. It was very tasty and very well prepared, but the meat size was small...not jumbo pieces like the best seafood houses use. This is only a minor point....it tasted excellent! The main course was served with a green vegetable. My wife had asparagus and I had broccoli. The vegetales were prepared well. The second side was generous slices of roasted herb potatoes. Very tasty. A very nice touch was a sachet of lemon tied with a ribbon....several other nice details to the presentation including the style of plates used. The meal was also served with warm rolls and butter.

For dessert my wife snd I had Bannanas Foster. Mario, the maître/manager (prepared) flambêed the bananas at table,-side and served over vanilla ice cream. Delicious!

We both had a mixed cocktail, which were also expertly prepared.

All-all-all this was a four star meal at a place you wouldn't expect to experience such a meal!

Divine dining. Nice ambiance. Excellent food, drinks, & service. Our waiter was charming & funny. Last minute birthday reservation after Longwood Gardens & they made it happen. The duck was fabulous!

My husband and I just recently had our wedding in Mendenhall Grand Ballroom on 9/18 and it was absolutely perfect and a dream come true! Gianna & Dottie were both amazing to work with before the wedding day arrived. They answered all my emails & calls efficiently and always had an answer for me! We mainly worked with Gianna before the wedding and she was absolutely fantastic in responding quickly and always having a second option if we were unable to do something. The day of the wedding Dotti always showed up at the right moment to drive me down to the venue so no one would see me or right before the ceremony to fluff my dress! She always appeared at the right time somehow! As for the hotel staff- they were absolutely amazing! We rented a banquet room to get ready in, and all the staff jumped to help! We needed ice and someone offered to go grab it! Closer to the ceremony we were working closely with Mario! He was the real MVP of the whole wedding! He made sure we had everything we needed and everything was on time! He did an amazing job the entire night to make things go perfect. During cocktail hour I realized I forgot the sparklers under the table in the banquet room- somehow he managed to get them without me noticing and when the photographer asked for them he had them and a lighter ready to go! As for the bartenders- well they kept that party going! They were awesome! Billy was awesome and fun to be around when you were hanging by the bar! Hands down just an overall amazing and 10/10000 experience with all the staff there! I have no complaints for this team and would recommend them to everyone! It was an amazing and unforgettable night!

I love this place. The wait staff which includes the bartender, was super friendly and accommodating. The wine menu had a great selection and the was excellent. The hotel was very nice, clean, newer accommodations, an outside lounge area with a gas fire pit, also an inside lounge above the main lobby and again great staff. There was a full breakfast from 7-9am with everything you could want for breakfast and I felt very safe. They followed covid protocol.

The Mendenhall is a fantastic venue. From the people to the facility, everything was absolutely perfect.

From the time we stepped on the property, we knew it was we what we wanted. The Grand Ball Room is absolutely gorgeous, the hotel is high class and the after-party at the restaurant/bar was awesome. It really was a one stop shop for all your wedding needs.

From day one, our wedding planner from the Mendenhall, Gianna, was on top of every detail. There was a clear cut plan of exactly how to proceed, what was expected of us and what they would provide. She was very quick to answer all of our questions and is obviously a seasoned professional.

The wedding itself turned out perfect without a single hiccup thanks to Gianna and the classy staff at the Mendenhall. All of the needs of our guests were met we’ve heard nothing but great reviews from all who attended our wedding. Not to mention, the food was delicious; I’ve never seen as large of a prime rib in my life.

From every aspect, the Mendenhall is a first class experience and we are more than pleased with our special night. We absolutely love the Mendenhall and already have plans to celebrate our first anniversary at the restaurant.

We were married at the Mendenhall and the wedding was wonderful. We try to go back yearly on our anniversary to celebrate. They never disappoint! Great food, excellent staff, and nice ambiance.

Excellent mid priced hotel very close to Longwood Gardens . The room was clean with soft sheets and pillows and the breakfast was surprisingly better than we expected! Would highly recommend if staying in the area.

Absolutely amazing! It has such a cozy atmosphere, wonderful, friendly service, and delicious food. I got the broiled seafood combo ($29 for Wednesday special) and it was moist, flavorful, and filling. I finished it off with a triple chocolate cake that was just as good as the main course.

This was a lunch stop on our bus trip to Winterthur. The food was waaay beyond any food we have experienced.
Food was Hot, Plentiful and plated beautifully. The dishes are priced very well and the wait staff wore white gloves and were very hard working.
The decor was very pretty. I loved seeing the many dining rooms.
It is certainly to be put on your bucket list for sure.

Great Thanksgiving Buffet. I have had several great regular wait-staff meals, too. The food tastes wonderful, and the decor and atmosphere are well done and "area traditional". I will be a repeat customer whenever I am in the area.

My wife and I love the Mendenhall. Alway great service and a meal fit for a king. The bananas foster is cooked right at your table. A fun show in it's own. A+

We stayed here for one night and only had breakfast (included) as our meal. The room was lovely and well laid out. If you had a bigger group there was some lovely space outside the rooms to sit and talk. I would definitely go back there the next time I need to stay overnight in that area.
