Bear Run Trail

We love taking our dogs on this trail. Easy drive from home and a medium difficultly hike. The dogs love it as much as we do.

Great loop hike great to do from both sides hike it all seasons.

Beautiful but there are yellow jackets that need attention from maintenance crew or someone with time and a sprayer. Previous hikers were leaving as we arrived and warned us they had stumbled upon a swarm of yellow jackets with a nest on the trail near the water crossing, and that they had been attacked by the yellow jackets (including their horse). We started off on the hike and sure enough there were yellow jackets all around the water. So we turned back. I wouldn't recommend hiking this until cooler weather returns or until trail maintenance cleans up this issue. Otherwise, the hike is beautiful. We look forward to going back when it is cleared up by maintenance or by snow.

Great outdoor trail,wish I could walk it more, disabled, can't walk very far, to enjoy it.
