Tavern 52

We absolutely LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE Tavern 52. Everything I have ever had to eat there is amazing! When I come into town (which is quite often) it's always on the schedule to stop in for a few meals and realistically that would probably happen of course anyhow because even when I am not in town my dearest other half is in there enjoying time visiting some of his favorite people and ordering his usual :) Which leads me to say, not only is the food great, but the staff and owners are AMAZZZZZINNNGG. They are truly caring, kind, thoughtful people. It feels like going to go visit family when we go in. The whole atmosphere is bright, clean, open, and inviting. The decor is fun, a slight sporty, yet classy. You can come as you are...well maybe not depending on what you happen to be wearing...or not wearing,lol...but in all seriousness...you can be dressed up or you can be in your flipflops and sports attire...just not your birthday suit or bathing suit, haha. There are a few sections you can choose to be attended to.
1) A take out area in it's own sectioned off room, that looks like a cute little convenience store.
2) A section where you can sit at a nice spread out round about bar that is well maintained and you can tell is very sanitary. There are lots of huge flat screen TVs to watch your games or sometimes other things that are going on and appealing to watch. Its not too loud like most bars are, its good conversation and at a good sound level.
3) A more table/booth sit down area. Its so comfy in these booths and they are a good size. You are not crammed in and when the booth attached or behind you is there, you cant hear their conversation or feel if they are moving, its like youre in your own little bubble for the most part. Even though this section is separated, the way the layout is, you dont feel closed in at all, its very inviting.

Parking is usually not an issue(we've actually never had a problem). They usually have a Sunday Brunch. The portions are a good size for all meals. I would suggest certain dishes, but to be honest...then Id have to list the whole menu. I am happy to say that I will be moving to the area soon and can visit this establishment a lot more often!!! MMMMmmmmMMM. I am salivating thinking about my usual :)

Excellent food, lots of variety. I’ve been here lots of times with my Aunt. This is one of her very favorite places to go. She likes the food just as much as she likes to see Liz! Liz is always so lovely and friendly. We love Tavern 52, and always have a great time!!!

Had lunch with friends. The service, atmosphere and food were all excellent.
Had meatballs, pasta and a salad. I didn't get a chance to try their pizza but I heard other people saying they liked it. Owners Charlie and Liz Sharp very nice. Will return to try other dishes!

4 words... FRIES AND WINGS PLEASE! They are unbelievably good. this place has the best wings and fries I’ve experienced since moving from Buffalo NY. Order the buffalo wings and tell them to put them ‘on the grill’. Get fries with them, and you will not be disappointed. We live close by and, noticed that new owners have really turned around the food they put out for the better. The cooks are amazingly good and consistent. The grilled wings put a char on them that is to die for. The fries are natural and fresh cut. No freeze! If you’ve never had fresh cut fries don’t be surprised how they taste. You don’t get that fake crispness from freeze drying.
My family and I go there at least twice a week for lunch and/or dinner. I would go there more if I could.

Stopped in for a beer with friends. Selection was good not great but there were several creative mixed drinks in the menu. It was a beautiful day outside ( 4 covered tables) so we decided to stay for dinner. Food was excellent! Linguine w Clams was perfectly loaded with fresh garlic. Pasta cooked al dente! Spinach ravioli w meatballs also got raves. On the lighter side the cheesesteak was huge and fries were real and had crispy skins. Fish tacos were also filling and fresh. We will definitely be back to support this family business!

My husband and I recently found this lovely restaurant and we are so happy we did. The food is very very good and the waitress is so nice and personable. The restaurant is very clean and decorated very cute. Going back as often as we can!!

Banging wings and cheesesteak! Really recommend going here, especially under the new ownership! Awesome family friendly environment where you can bring the kids along and watch the birds game! Seems like almost every employee here has a great personality and the owners are very personable people! This place grew on us fast, will be back for times to come!

The Chicken Roma Dish is awesome a grest miss of flavors. It definitely a must try. Next I would say the lobster roll is neck and neck as far as my go to. Put both on your list to try.
Next well let talk about the service. They make you feel like you are at a bread and breakfast. One on one service and very attentive. Super friendly and by the time you lesve you feel like you made a new friend. Like you just want to invite them back to your place to continue enjoying their company. What a great place. You are missing out if you have not tried it. the vibe here is awesome.

Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The wait staff was engaging, attentive, and skilled. The food was underpriced, in my honest opinion, and best of all, it was quiet enough to have a good conversation with your dinner company. The mushroom cheese steak managed to not be over portobello flavored, which is not an easy task. The cioppino was perfectly spicy, and not skimpy with the shellfish. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling nearby.

Love going to Tavern 52. Sunday football is the best here, they usually have free food at halftime. The honey Siracha wings are amazing. Pizza is also really tasty. Can’t go wrong with this place. They have great service and food. Doesn’t get too crowded and is very clean.

This place is under new ownership/management. They're working hard on a new menu and the place is busier than I've ever known it. I frequently stay at the hotel next door and enjoy the local bar atmosphere Tavern 52 offers, 'a home away from home'. It's barely a one minute walk back to the hotel which is great if I want a few beers before heading back with no worries about driving. Friendly staff, good food & drinks. Plenty of TV's for watching sports and it attracts plenty of locals who are great to chat with. Very relaxed atmosphere, well worth a visit.

YO PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: THE BEST Neighborhood Bar In this otherwise desolate bar area ... great owners - real! - Authentic and Good people... I have two rules in life about people I meet:

1. If they are good and authentic - grab them and hold tight because they are rare and few and far between.

2. Anyone not good and authentic... run, bad news!

Tavern 52 has the owners and atmospheric here you are looking for!

The food and service is awesome. Our server was very helpful for my elderly mother. Brought out our food while it was hot and fresh. Really attentive. I got a Ruben and it was awesome.

Another great meal at Tavern 52. Our group had the filet tips with mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy and veggies, cioppino and the strawberry/feta salad. The food was delicious. Filet cooked perfectly (and you get 8 oz. of steak), the cioppino had large shrimp, mussels, clams and cod and were cooked in a delicious red sauce, and you can’t go wrong with a strawberry, feta, walnut salad with chicken and Greek dressing. Our compliments to the chef.

Tasty food. Really liked their tacos. Homemade pico & tortilla chips were excellent. Efficient, friendly service. Nice ambiance, tastefully decorated, and very clean inside.

Tavern 52 has certainly stepped their game up! My husband and I look forward to our weekly visits there. Megan is awesome as is Charlie and Liz...nice comfy feel. I'm not a big eater but my husband loves the chicken park and the ribs. I'm partial to the B LTs and the cheesstesk portabella sandwich! Always yummy...

The strawberry and feta salad was awesome. My friend had the meatballs and they were nice big and yummy. The roast beef sandwich was also a big hit.

Polite,quick service with good portion sizes and fair prices. Coffee was always topped up when empty. An enjoyable experience.

My wife loves the crab balls! I had the biggest mussels ever! The service was perfect and everything was well priced! I will be going back soon!
