What a lovely experience! Think Bridgerton…..The rooms are clean and full of charm. The hostess was very accommodating with early/late arrivals. Downtown Jim Thorpe is very very close, about a 3 minute drive. The breakfast setup was divine! I feel like one of those duchesses in my romance novels walking into that. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at Angel of Jim Thorpe! Carrie was extremely attentive and very responsive. Her lovely place was very pleasant, comfortable and clean.
At breakfast, she was very attentive to detail and the food was delicious! Her homemade quiche was phenomenal. She had a nice spread with bagels, muffins, biscuits, yogurt, granola, fresh fruit… She made fresh pancakes and bacon that were also amazing! The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious!
We would totally stay here again and recommend this lovely bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Jim Thorpe.
The location is great! Free street parking and out of the hustle and bustle, yet 20ish min walk to downtown.
This is easily a 5 star review for us!

Al & I had the good fortune of booking a room at The Angel of Jim Thorpe for 2 nights in Sept. I had never stayed at a B&B before & was a little apprehensive. We were pleasantly surprised with our accommodations. It was pure heaven after sleeping in the most comfortable bed ever & waking up to the smell of our breakfast being prepared. Carrie was an absolute Angel, giving us information on the area & even offered to drive us down to Jim Thorpe as the town was busy & parking a bit difficult to find. We will definitely be booking with Carrie on our next trip to the area. thank you so much for a memorable weekend. P.S. guess who had to go out & get a comfy foam bed & mattress topper? Gale & Al

My boyfriend and I stayed at Angel of Jim Thorpe Bed and Breakfast for our annual vacation, and we loved it. The Victorian décor of the house was alluring, and although the house looks like a museum, it was warm, welcoming, and inviting. The bedrooms are decorated beautifully. We chose the Angel Suite because of the size of the jacuzzi that was large enough for two people. Even though the bedrooms were close together, we did not hear our neighbors at all. The guests enter the house through a cute patio in the back. And the backyard has four chairs and a fire pit table. We ended our nights sitting by the fire. Carrie is an amazing host. She was accommodating, friendly, and warm. In the mornings, we had breakfast at the house. When we returned from our excursions during the evenings/nights, the fire pit would be lit, and there would be snacks and drinks for the guests in the dining room. When my boyfriend was not feeling well and could not eat certain foods, Carrie made him breakfast. We were so appreciative and grateful for the accommodation. Although we enjoyed our vacation in Jim Thorpe, my boyfriend and I agreed that staying in Angel of Jim Thorpe contributed to our wonderful vacation. We will return and visit Jim Thorp next year, and we will be staying at Angel of Jim Thorpe again. Thank you, Carrie, for your hospitality.

Carrie was so kind and helpful our whole stay. Her homemade complimentary breakfast each morning is to die for. Not to mention that our stay at the historic home made us feel like a king and queen. Our stay in the Angel suite was so relaxing and so comfortable. Only a short 3 minute drive from downtown Jim Thorpe but well worth the relaxation and amazing stay. We felt safe, satisfied and happy in this beautiful home and town. Truly it’s a hidden gem. We’ll be sure to come back!

This is truly a hidden gem in Jim Thorpe PA! From the moment you walk through the door, intimacy, coziness and comfort abounds! The rooms are furnished with comfortable beds, interesting art and an array of old world artifacts! The host Carrie is extremely welcoming and strives to make each and every guest feel welcome and at home. Sumptuous breakfasts that include many choices, from healthy to indulgent...be sure not to pass the lovely spread in the late afternoon that can include freshly baked goods, champagne and other libations. This place will not disappoint!

My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful experience at the Angel of Jim Thorpe. Carrie was a fantastic host and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we departed. The Angel Suite was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. The food was great and we felt safe coming and going as we toured the town (the home was very well-lighted from the outside). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a convenient place to stay while visiting Jim Thorpe.

We had the pleasure of staying at Angel of Jim Thorpe in November 2022.
Carrie, the Proprietor, was extremely helpful and accommodating. She was very concerned with having her guests feeling welcomed, comfortable and enjoying themselves. She offered tips of where to go and things to do during our stay.
The inn was very inviting and comfortable, complete with a lovely porch where we sat and enjoyed the evening.
In the morning, we awoke to the aroma of a most delicious and exquisite breakfast! Carrie’s breakfast was better than any breakfast feast we would have encountered elsewhere! Breakfast consisted of a variety of treats including the most awesome frittata we ever tasted! It was simply delish!
Very enjoyable stay……We would definitely return!

My wife and I stayed overnight for a concert at Penns Peak at Angel of Jim Thorpe. The site claimed a breakfast...well, this breakfast was a spread!! Quiche, bacon (not facon) pancakes, home fries, muffins and a schmagiggle of breakfast goodies. Our room was perfectly comfy and home away from home feel. Priced more than fair for your dollar. Thanks, Carrie!!

We literally just walked through our front door after a fantastic weekend in Jim Thorpe! This was a beautiful weekend and we are so very happy that we chose to stay at the Angel of the Morning B&B with Rosemary. She was the kindest, warmest and most helpful host we've ever had. She made our experience wonderful. Her home is furnished beautifully and it gives a warm and inviting feeling as soon as you walk in. The room was clean and cozy and we enjoyed every minute we spent there. Rosemary made a delicious breakfast each morning we were there... with fresh fruits, coffee and juice unlimited. I would and will highly recommend Angel of the Morning to anyone looking for a comfortable and lovely place to stay in Pennsylvania. The negativity I've read is sickening! Truly, this is a wonderful place to go and unwind. We can't wait to go back!

My wife and I visited for our honeymoon during the Fall Foliage Festival.

The location of the BNB was a quick 20 minute walk into town (downhill), but a slightly longer walk back from town (uphill). The location was peaceful with ample parking, as opposed to the BNBs in town.

The house was spacious, clean, and pleasent. Our room (the Anthracite room) has beautifully decorated with a spacious bathroom and large king bed. There was a mini-fridge stocked with waters and a television with cable/satellite service.

Carrie (the proprietor) was extremely accommodating and kind. She prepared light breakfasts in the dining room each morning and left snacks there throughout the day. She kept everything clean, offered fresh towels and dishes whenever we needed them, and gave us plenty of advice for places to visit. She also provided us a honey moon package with flowers, LED candles by the fireplace, and facilitated in a couple's massage from a business in town that came to the BNB.

Overall, we would (and have already) recommend Angel of Jim Thorpe and Carrie to anyone looking for a cozy, pleasent place to get away - especially for a romantic weekend away.

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast Inn
This bed and breakfast inn has a new owner and a name change and is now called “Angel in Jim Thorpe”. It is located in the quaint town of Jim Thorpe (just outside of the historic center so less crowded) which not only has a historic district to walk around, but also allows access to a wonderful 25-mile bike trail through the Leigh River Gorge which can be done also as a 10-mile or 15-mile ride, to hiking trails, and to white water rafting. Carrie, the owner puts out an extensive breakfast served on china by candlelight with soft music. Breakfast consisted of home cooked hot items, homemade baked goods as well as cold items. You will not walk away hungry! Afternoon snacks and appetizers were equally extensive. Carrie is so sweet and was so accommodating to our kosher needs both for breakfast and afternoon snacks and appetizers. She went out of her way to find all sorts of kosher marked items for us served on paper plates with plastic utensils including cold cereal, granola, yogurt, stuffed grape leaves, nuts, fruit, crackers, eclairs, chocolates, Kedem tea biscuits, and matzah! She apologized that she couldn’t find any wine (other than Manischewitz), so she bought various flavored vodka seltzers for us since she saw they were marked kosher! We stayed in the Anthracite room, one of the three rooms in the inn, which was lovely with bathrobes, large fluffy towels, and nice amenities in the bathroom room including a flashlight and a medicine cabinet that supplied a first aid kit and a new toothbrush in case you forgot yours! Lovely battery candles in the fireplace added ambiance. Great place with a great host for a quick getaway in a quaint town.

I came here to spend the weekend. The b&b itself was beautiful and clean. The proprietor, Carie, was kind, welcoming, and accommodating. We had an amazing time while we were there. However, our reservation was messed up, and we were told that we had to leave on Saturday instead of Sunday as we had intended. Carie insisted that we made the mistake, though I know that isn't true. This really messed up our trip, as we couldn't find any other rooms available in town. Real bummer. If you plan to go here, you're in for a treat. Just make SURE that you get your reservation in writing via email or text.

EDIT: Carrie did reach out, and apologized for the miscommunication. In fact, she kindly offered us a free 2 day stay. I think this was really kind of her and would be happy to stay with her again.

The inn keeper, Rosemary, is very friendly. She is pretty knowledgeable about the area, and is happy to help you figure out what there is to do in the area. The rooms are nice and well kept, however, beware that there are no locks on the doors when you are away (though there are bolts when you are in your room). This is not a B&B where you will find 15 rooms fitted into the space of 5. The rooms are spacious and homey. The breakfasts are good and promptly served at the appointed time (9 AM). Everything is freshly prepared and served hot (though be aware that there are no choices other than coffee, tea, or water, you eat what everyone else (including Rosemary) is eating.

Buyer beware though, if you are looking for some time to yourself, with not alot of engagement by the innkeeper, this is not the place for you (and probably B&B's in general). Rosemary is very interested in what you are doing, plan to do, and what you did (like the Italian grandmother that she is), and some could see it as "nosey". Personally, I loved the attention and the caring that Rosemary demonstrated for "her guests."

Overall, a great experience!
