It’s been almost 2 years since I lost my mom and we held her service here. They sent a letter on the one year anniversary of her passing which I thought was touching , but they also almost 2 years later helped me with her ashes and jewelry because I was too nervous to do it my self. Free of charge for their time which I thought was kind of them.

If you’re going through what’s one of the hardest times you can go through they help make it a bit easier.

Darrah was an amazing funeral director, so caring and helpful at a horrible time in our lives. My sister and father passed away 26 hrs apart, she was so professional and made us feel so at ease, my sister looked so beautiful and my father so handsome. I recently lost my sister and mother within two weeks of each other. So I had experiences with the staff of James J. Dougherty Funeral Home twice in a very short time period. The first experience was extremely positive. As we planned my sister's funeral, they took into account the fragile health of my mother and offered suggestions for how we could make things easier for her. Shortly after my sister's death, my mother passed away. We returned to Dougherty Funeral Home and received the same compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and caring services. We never felt rushed. They took the time to discuss options, despite the fact that we had just been through the planning process with them. They were patient as we worked through issues with insurance and had staff available to help with any troubles we had with the insurance companies. I truly can not rate them high enough, if I could, I would give them ten more stars above the scale of five out of five! I highly recommend the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home.

At a difficult time the experience our family had with the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home was very professional and comforting. All of the staff was knowledgeable, patient, helpful and understanding throughout the entire process. But Dana in particular is just a blessing. Even with additional assistance needed a few months after the funeral she has gone above and beyond to make everything an easy process.

Having used Dougherty Funeral Home previously we again chose them for our mother. The funeral director Dana was caring, knowledgeable patient and helpful. The total cost was what we expected because we had prepaid for it.WE RATED THEM 5 STARS . The attention to details with the arrangements, offering ways to personalize the service, appearance and care of our mother were all things that warrant this recommendation. The facilities and grounds were clean, well maintained, nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff, funeral director, doorman , and driver were all pleasant and sympathetic. James Dougherty funeral home is a very caring, patient, and wonderful place when you are in need.from the two men that came to the house. They were very gentle and sympathic. To Rocco who was so helpful and understanding. I would highly recommend this funeral home 100%.

My family has used this funeral home 3 times in the past 2 years. Each time they have been nothing but exceptional. Every staff member we have come across even over the phone has been so warm and understanding. They do a wonderful job here. They really go above and beyond when needed.

Our mother passed away September 14 we had a preplanned funeral for her we dealt with Jeff he was very accommodating answered all her questions and had a Lot sympathy for us through a hard time also wanted to say that the field people Neil and Dan were very good respectful and kind

feels weird to associate "loved it!" with a funeral home, but honestly I have never been more impressed with the staff and their seamless combination of both empathy and professionalism.
