Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel

Yesterday brought to a close my mom's wonderful life of 93 plus years. At her advanced age she was the last of her friends and contemporaries. Max presided over an exceptionally warm and heartfelt graveside service. He made the event a fitting tribute to her as well as something special for all of us. He is a truly caring, compassionate person, who made a day of sadness incredibly great for all who attended. We are deeply grateful that he was there for us. Our sincere thanks.

Unfortunately we have had to use Orland’s dating back to 1971-19 year old sister, 1994 brother 38, and when people are supposed to go dad 2008 83. I’ve given the ages of our deaths because it takes extra special people to handle 2 grief ridden parents and my self who was only 9 when my sister died. Joel & Max are wonderful people that you will feel comfortable with. My mother is now 94 and I needed help with future burial plans.
Max handled all my questions quickly and compassionately.

Joel and Max were compassionate and supportive during a very difficult time for our family. They are consummate professionals who helped us navigate the funeral process and allowed us to focus on family rather than attend to each detail. It was an immense comfort to me knowing that my father was in good hands and my mom was treated with the utmost of courtesy and empathy. I am truly grateful to them.

From beginning to end, the detailed care and genuine professional compassion that Orlands gave my fathers funeral has been magnificent. There were many surrounding complexities (none of Orlands making) to this funeral and each question and/or issue was handled in a timely manner and with utter grace. It was a relief and emotional ballast to know my father and family were so graciously, well cared for. Joel and Max raise the bar on professional and genuine compassion.

They guided me through the funeral arrangements for my husband. I cannot fully express my gratitude for all that they did and for all of their kindness, because I can't find words.
I recommend them to everyone who has the misfortune of losing a loved one. Joel and Max make it MUCH easier to get through a very tough time in life.

My dear friend recently passed away unexpectedly and both Joel and Max gently guided us through the funeral and cremation process. We worked most closely with Max who saw to it that any concerns the family had were met. From beginning to end my family and I felt at ease and comforted. My friend's wishes were discussed and the service she had requested was implemented. Max assumed the responsibility making everything easier for all of us. Max guided us to the cemetery and reassured us throughout what could have been a very stressful time. I felt the funeral and service fees were reasonable and fair, mostly I felt supported throughout the entire process from start to completion.

The hardest thing that I ever had to do in my life to date, was lay my mom who unexpectedly passed away to rest. Never imagining that I would have to do it so early in my life and not knowing what to do, Max and his father made the entire process smooth and seamless with compassion and empathy that was truly felt. My mother and I held spiritual beliefs different from that of the rest of my family and Max was able to accommodate both our beliefs, respectfully and with ease. Because of my mom's beliefs, I searched for a funeral home who regarded natural burial and found Orland's. I'm so grateful and know I was led to Max and family, as he helped fulfill my mother's wishes for a natural burial. The service was outstanding and I cannot thank him enough. Much appreciated Max.

Orland's handled the arrangements for my father three years ago, and most recently for my mother. The services provided by Max and Joel, with compassion and respect, made a devastating situation less difficult to navigate. Professional, compassionate, kind and every detail handled correctly. My family and I just wanted to thank Joel and his son Max for their compassion and help through this difficult time. With COVID and delaying mom's burial, it had been a long drawn out process. The graveside service was perfect and Max, you were so wonderful at making me, my brother and our family and friends feel supported and at ease. Max and Joel Orland are superlative. They are warm, compassionate, incredibly patient (we had so many questions), highly responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. My mother passed away earlier this year. Within an hour of contacting Orland’s, I felt as if they had only my family’s best interests at heart. Max and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, thorough and compassionate. As they led us through a difficult time, they maintained control of every aspect of the burial and memorial. In November ( in the midst of the Pandemic), my. Mom passed in Florida with me in New Jersey and my sister in Seattle. We had no idea how to handle the situation with my Mom being buried in New Jersey. Max Orland came to the rescue. He handled everything from getting my Mom back to New Jersey to attending the funeral which was zoomed to loved ones. When a loved one passes, the last thing survivors need is to handle all the details. I can’t imagine how we would have handled everything if not for Max and Orland Funeral Hone. We are all grateful.

In trying times in the world and difficult and saddening times for my family & I, Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel helped us put on a ceremony of remembrance for my beloved Mimi. Max & Joel were prepared for us upon arrival and covered all basis to make the wake, chapel and funeral services as smooth as possible and for that my family & I are grateful.

I recently had the responsibility of burying an aunt who did not have any immediate family. I live out of state and needed a funeral home to assist in the process of obtaining my aunt from her home, preparing her body according to tradition, finding a grave site, and offering a funeral service with dignity. My wife's funeral was on Tuesday. The entire staff of ORLAND'S was most helpful. They overcame some issues and errors (on my part). Every aspect was handled to the highest professional and religious standards. I recommend them very highly.
