Hank's Place - Kennett

Try the mushroom soup. It's the best around town! This is the best little local restaurant that re-located to this location in KSquare since Hank's in Chadd's Ford at Rte 100 & 1 got flooded during last big storm there. Been coming to Hank's for many years - but, we truly miss the old owners, especially Voula.

The coziest little breakfast spot! We were visiting Kennett Square and had never been there before and stumbled into Hank's Place. Wait was only 15 min which wasn't bad for 10AM on a Saturday Morning. Service was great, food was delicious and came out within 10 minutes. Would definitely go back!

My daughter had the French Toast with bacon on the side. She said it was the best she ever had. I had a bite, it was really good. I had turkey special and it was yum! Service was great. It was pretty busy when we were there so it took longer for the food.

Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. The food here is as exceptional as it has always been. The new owner is great. This is a staple in the southern Chester County area for a reason. The staff is very friendly. This is great comfort food for the masses at at a fantastic price point. There is decent parking, which is free. This place can be considerably busy on a weekend morning for breakfast.

Great, cozy place to eat. Casual, tasteful atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly, attentive, accommodating staff. Hope they keep this location open after they rebuild in their original spot! A must stop in the area and even for me, out of state. Can't wait to come back!

Loved it here! Great breakfasts and lunches, large servings, and wonderful wait staff. Home fries are like panfried baked potatoes and very good. Exceptionally clean, down-home feeling. On a trip, we returned 3x.

Hanks Place is open with a limited menu for takeout on the same location. Got both the breakfast sandwich and the burger and they were delicious. Great prices and the staff were super friendly. They even kept my toddler entertained while we waited for our food. Way more than just a breakfast joint it’s a staple of the community and it’s great to see them continuing to serve despite the circumstances. Hope to see them back and fully operational soon!

Very happy with our visit here. Excellent service from wait staff. I have food allergies, and they were accommodated as much as possible. The food was delicious and portions satisfying.

ABSOLUTELY ALL CAPS WONDERFUL! Very down home friendly. Great service. Amazingly great preparation of basic all American food. (No credit cards accepted.) The wait staff actually writes out your order on a traditional green order pad and gives you a hand totaled bill. Feels like Ike is still in the white house.

We went there for a weekend breakfast and really liked it, clean and warm atmosphere, friendly staff, but fantastic French Toast! Really outstanding. It’s worth the trip, and they do take credit cards now. Great breakfast.

If your looking for a home cooked breakfast meal look no further! Hanks has phenomenal food and service. Staff is very friendly, and they seat you quickly. Come hungry and with cash!

The food was great. Service was the best we have had in awhile. New England Clam Chowder is to die for. Took some home to enjoy later. Will be going back again. Bring cash, no debit but do have an ATM on site. I left some money in the ATM. Anthony the owner reached out to me and told me my server Keirasten found it in the ATM. Not only good food but honest and caring people.

This place wasn't anything exotic, or trendy, but it was extremely good for comfort food. We ordered a cheesesteak, a turkey dinner, and the Honey Fried Chicken. The turkey dinner was just about as good as he would have at any quality Thanksgiving feast. The gravy and mashed potatoes or well made. The turkey and stuffing were the Right Mix of tenderness, moistness and failure. The honey Fried Chicken was an interesting taste. I've had other Honey Dipped Fried Chicken in the area, but this one had the right amount of sweet and tangy to it. The skin was crunchy - almost like Korean double fried chicken. And the meat wasn't too dry I've been perfectly cooked. I would have liked to order other sides, but we had our kids with us and were relegated to french fries. The vegetable of the day however was roasted root vegetables. There were beets, sweet potatoes, and parsnips. They were wonderfully roasted. For dessert we all shared pumpkin bread covered with pumpkin ice cream, walnuts, whipped cream, and caramel,. This was simply Exquisite with a cup of coffee.

We only live about 20 minutes away, but there is a high probability that will be back more often.

Just a note this place is cash only but they do take checks.

I drove 45 minutes to try out a new restaurant like I always do and it was worth the drive!! Fresh eggs and potatoes were great. Hubby loved the root beer drink they had. The staff was friendly and you can tell they are like family. Will definitely recommend stopping by. Thank you for a great experience.

Hadn't been to Hank's for about four years. My sisters and I were so impressed with today's lunch!! The turkey sandwich was out of this world. The fries were delicious and there were a lot of them!! The atmosphere and decorations are lovely. Kirsten couldn't have been nicer while serving us. Can't wait to return!!

We went for lunch and were greeted and seated by a very friendly and professional hostess and cared for by an excellent server. The food was outstanding. Excellent atmosphere. Will go again when in the area. Highly recommend.

Took our 8 mos old twins for brunch and everyone was accommodating. Clean and food was great! Friendly service and good atmosphere. Def a great place to have brunch with family or friends.

I have always loved Hanks but I especially love it now because there's actually room in the new place to be able to eat without feeling too crowded. Same great food but with more room enjoy it. Plenty of parking.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I would eat.there again and highly recommend.
