This is my second time using Affordable Funeral Service & Cremation. Franklin was professional, knowledgeable, problem solver, and most importantly a great communicator. The first time, four years ago, Franklin was referred to us when my mother passed away. It was a difficult time with so many unknowns. From the start, Franklin guided my family and I on what our options were, what the next steps may be and gone above and beyond with just the right amount of communication and follow up. He resolved our issue with the cemetery’s specific requirement of a urn vault, which the cemetery did not inform us, quickly and directly by contacting the cemetery.

Franklin STILL IS professional, knowledgeable, problem solver and a great communicator when my father passed away recently. This second time I immediately reached out to Franklin and again, like my mother’s funeral, he did an outstanding service for my father. Many other reviewers gave 5 stars and it is well deserved. When my mom was very ill, I was faced with making plans for her services when she passed, something nobody looks forward to planning. All I can say is Franklin was comforting when I first contacted him and throughout the entire process. I felt at peace that he was supporting our family through this difficult time, making it far less trying than it possibly could have been with anything less than world class care and support. I felt calm and peaceful in the end, knowing matters where being attended to completely. I had no need to follow up to determine if details were being addressed, as I received updates in each phase. I never had such a trying time than the passing of my mom, but I cannot support and endorse Franklin any higher. His service and sincere concern (even well after the fact) are self-evident, and the related expenses were more than reasonable. He is a blessing in a trying time and outstanding support to families going through it.

Franklin and his partner really took excellent care of me and my family in time of need. They took care of all details and really made this part simple for us. When I first spoke to Franklin, I thought this service was too good to be true. The price is incredibly low and covered everything needed. Franklin and Joe were compassionate, helpful, respectful, timely, professional, and simply good people. I would highly recommend this service to anyone. They answered every question, helped me with information on writing an obituary, were prompt to bring back ashes and 10 death certificates. Franklin is beyond AMAZING! When my father passed away my Mother & I were obviously in mourning & we really needed guidance & assistance. We had many questions during the process & called several times. Whether it was Franklin, Roger or Joe who answered the phone we were spoken to with patience & compassion. And we never felt rushed on the phone. My father was a Military Veteran & was supposed to receive a Military Send Off. There were a few issues that needed to be taken care of. I was going to address these issues myself…but Franklin didn’t let me…he took care of everything himself! He is TRULY that compassionate! He knew the agony we were going thru & just wanted to take care of everything for us.

My father recently passed away unexpectedly and I was only in town for a short period of time to settle his affairs. I was referred to Affordable Funeral Services by one of my fathers neighbours. I called and spoke with Franklin and he immediately made me feel comfortable and confident that his firm could assist with our family’s needs. Franklin had staff come to the house within an hour of my father passing to pick him up and transport him to their facility In order to prepare for cremation. Affordable provided all the information we needed and were very thoughtful to our needs. Franklin went over and above what was expected and truly cares for his clients. Franklin of Affordable Funeral and Cremation Services did a great job with my wife’s cremation. We had an extra requirement that some bones were retained for religious reasons and he ensured that this was done. All documents were provided and he personally delivered the ashes and bones to our home. Very impressed with his service and helpfulness at such a tough time. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Franklin and his staff are excellent. We knew Mom's passing was imminent and called several different funeral homes so that we would be prepared. We felt the most comfortable with Franklin - he was professional and very respectful. He made it clear that he would assist us regardless of the hour. Mom's time came at night, and Franklin and Joe handled our situation with care, kindness, and sensitivity. Highly recommend.

Two years ago at the beginning of covid my mom passed away peacefully in her sleep. Because of covid it was hard to have a regular funeral or burial. My mom was in an assisted living facility, I called Franklin right away!!! He came right out and met us in the parking lot because we were unable to enter the building. He took care of everything!!! He also said it was an honor to take care of my mom... my dad was so pleased with Franklin he decided to per pay his cremation. Again Franklin helped my dad with all the paperwork, and my dad was pleased!!!
Fast forward to April 19, 2022 my dad passed in the hospital after a long illness. Again I called Franklin, he was so kindhearted and knew my dad personally ... he Again said it was an honor knowing and taking care of him. He helped me get through this most difficult time with his kind words and his professionalism. Thank you again Franklin. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤

I would absolutely recommend Franklin Rainear to anyone who has lost a loved one. I recently lost my father and Franklin and his staff were absolutely amazing. They walked me through the entire process and there were no surprises along the way. The compassion and understanding he showed to me was above and beyond anything I could’ve ever expected. Franklin H. Rainear, Jr. and his staff were very professional, resourceful, and very affordable.
It was very evident that the other funeral homes were preying on the grief and immediate necessity for their services. This was absolutely not the case with Franklin and his staff. They all were very helpful, respectful, kind, and compassionate during such a difficult time for my family.

When my mom went into hospice care, I immediately started looking for a crematorium and found Affordable Funeral Service and Cremation. I cannot praise Frank and the entire staff at Affordable Funeral Service enough. I never had to plan anything like this and didn't know where to begin. Frank walked me through everything with patience and compassion. He stayed connected with me during the entire process and offered help with the memorial park. No matter what time of day (or night), Frank responded when I needed help. He also worked with me on price and delivered the cremains and death certificate to my home to relieve the burden of me picking them up (as I planned to save cost). Thank you, Frank, and the entire staff for easing the burden during this difficult time. I highly recommend Affordable Funeral Service and Cremation when dealing with the loss of a loved one.

I have to say my family and I were in a real moment of crisis after my aunt passed away suddenly we had to look at her body for 4 hours .I called four different funeral homes and every single person wanted payment up front we just could not afford that as we were not prepared for this tragedy before I was able to find someone that would help us . I found Franklin and his team and they were so kind and patient they came with no questions asked. Franklin and his team were extremely efficient extremely patient with us as it's been a long time since we went through anything like this they did everything in their power to make us feel that peace and to give my aunt the best service that we can afford at a low cost. if I ever had to do this again I would definitely choose Franklin and his team God bless.

My father, Edward Cooper, past away a couple months ago and Franklin was beyond amazing! His support and show of compassion was more then we could ever have imagined. My mother whom has been devastated and having an extremely hard time with the passing of my father, was in close contact with Franklin on several occasions from right before my father passed until after he delivered my father's ashes. She still brings his name up constantly as to how wonderful and amazing he was throughout the entire process.
