Hooper Funeral Chapel was caring, engaged and professional during this difficult time. Stevphen explained service options, gave me flower shop recommendations and even provided an easy way for me upload photos.
And the most important thing I want to share in this review is that my father's service was everything and then some from what I expected. The video montage was beautiful and the funeral home surprised me with a beautiful tapestry blanket with my father's image, dates and a personal touch with his profession. I was so touched by this simple thoughtful gesture. As were many others in attendance.

The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating during this very difficult time. Christie walked us through every step and made sure even our furry family member could be included, which was very comforting. The digital slide show of pictures and the portrait are beautiful and something that our family will treasurer forever.

J. Allen and staff, particularly Steve were absolutely wonderful and compassionate in helping us navigate the process. We called days before my dad passed and with little preparation, they took over and helped us through a difficult time. They were professional and have checked in to see how we are doing in the grieving process. Who could ask for more? Thank you.

What a tough subject to need to recommend, but i recently attended a beautiful service and they were so understanding and compassionate. Christy was so kind and understanding, and very attentive to everyone's needs. If you're in the position to need to start planning these services, I can't recommend them enough.

J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel has an excellent team that exceeded my expectations. The team anticipated our needs and went above and beyond to create a memorial that reflected my father so well. The team coordinated with all the needed specialists so we didn't have to. Their mobile upload site made it simple for multiple family members to share photos. The Hooper team then created a beautiful slide show. Their display at the church took our breath away. A colleague of mine said, " I didn't know your dad but I felt like I did after his services." When we mentioned the desire to have a band at the cemetary, Steve helped to make that a reality. His personal touch and decades of expertise made a very difficult time seamless, meaningful, and calming to our family.

It’s always very hard to say goodbye to someone you love, but Hooper Funeral Chapel was amazing every step of the way. They cut through a huge amount of government red tape to ensure my dad received the military honors he had earned. They created and displayed remembrance art (I had no idea they were going to do that), and they have continued to check in on me to make sure I’m doing ok even several months later.

My sister chose J. Allen Hooper to assist with the final arrangements for her husband. She was very pleased. When my sister passed, there was no doubt in my mind who to turn to for her arrangements. They are dedicated to helping the family during this very difficult time.

J Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel made our mother’s funeral arrangements personal and special. We as a family felt taken care of and never had to worry about anything. The entire staff works as a unit and execute on everything.

Our experience was one-of-a-kind due to a family emergency 3 days prior to the funeral and the funeral home rescheduled everything for us. They took the stress from us and made sure that when the funeral did happen, that it was special and everything occurred as planned.

If I could give 10 stars I would. There was never any stress with Steve and his team. They promised to be there for us and they were. And they can always be reached.

The staff at Hooper’s made a very difficult situation bearable. We worked with Jessica and she made it seem like we were lifelong friends. The priest that they arranged to have graveside was wonderful and more than we had expected. We had made our own luncheon arrangements and when it appeared that our expected arrival time had changed, Jessica very graciously called the restaurant about the change. Attentive and kind, I can’t thank them enough.

Stephen and the staff at J Hooper Funeral Home were amazing. They showed us incredible professionalism as well as making the entire process comforting, caring and miles away from sad and depressing. We believe the service for our Mom turned out perfectly and was very special. J Hooper worked with us every step of the way to ensure that happened. Steven, Jess, and the staff at J. Allen Hooper were very compassionate and caring throughout the entire process of planning for our loved one's services and burial. They were available to answer all of my questions as they arose and made changes that were necessary to coordinate the times for our Mass and military burial. We found our way to Steve Ullrich and the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel on short notice after receiving word of my mom's passing. Not being local made the prospect of sorting everything out even more daunting, but our experience with Steve and Jessica was flawless and exceeded our expectations.

From the first interaction with the website until the after-the-fact delivery of required official documents so I could navigate estate issues, Steve anticipated, explained and executed every step of the process. We never felt rushed or pushed, and he was respectful of our choices along the way. He took the lead in surmounting obstacles, such as when the cemetery initially couldn't find records of my family's plot, or tracking down the ER charge nurse at the hospital to verify the whereabouts of my mom's personal effects, since none of us were present when she unexpectedly passed.

In an era where personal service sometimes seems an antiquated notion, I felt my mom, and our family, were well-cared for throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel to anyone in need or planning for future needs.

We were told our mom had 2 days left to live! What a shock. The day she passed on my sisters recommendation we choose Hooper. We have had an excellent experience at a very difficult time. The staff are very sensitive to the family’s needs and everything was done with the utmost professionalism. My mom looked beautiful and the flowers were lovely. It was so nice that you could do everything at one place. So many decisions at a difficult time was made easy.
