Blue Dog Tavern

Great vegan selection, great beer selection, very friendly service. Laid back atmosphere, they had the game on the TV with the volume down so you could have a conversation without yelling- this place is awesome. We had a beer flight & a meal, and were considering a growler to go (32oz, not available for every beer on tap). Excellent.

Surprisingly good vegan food!

We’ve been here a couple of times already and have had great food both times. It’s a neighborhood bar, so we don’t expect a lot, but the (vegan) food is surprisingly good.

One of the owners is vegan and the other vegetarian, so they changed the menu a little while ago and started adding both vegan and vegetarian options. They’ve been expanding their vegan menu options due to demand, from what we were told.

They almost always have one vegan soup of the day (every day in the winter, not every day during the summer). The menu has a number of good vegan options and they usually have vegan specials too.

This visit we had two of the vegan specials, their Sonora Flatbread and General Tso Cauliflower (ser the picture for the menu). Both were very, very good.

They also have an extensive beer menu and a decent cocktail selection too.

We came for a Saturday lunch and greatly enjoyed the service and food. Dara took good care of us and delivered hot, wonderfully tasty soups and entrees. I was even able to get my burger cooked the way I like it. Kudos to the staff preparing the food. It was great.

While it was quiet at lunch, I could easily see that a dinner crowd could cause the place to be too loud for casual conversation as some other reviewers discussed.

We will come back again, but it will probably be for another lunch to avoid the larger dinner/evening crowds.

This place is in a great location. It has a wonderful atmosphere and good food. Perfect for grabbing a bite to eat at the bar or having dinner at a table with the family. This is also an ideal place if you are an avid beer drinker as they have a wide selection to choose from. Their bartenders are fantastic and very personable. I highly recommend.

I love Blue Dog! This is my go to bar when I want to get a great drink, and some delicious bar food! The cheese fries with bacon is my usual and it has never let me down. The beer selection is the best in the neighborhood. This is one bar that chooses the best beers for their selection. Take-out cold beer is great for picking up real quick too. Did I say they have a great selection?

The staff here is always very friendly. The food is great especially the wings and fish and chips. They have a lot of micro brews and ciders. It's a nice place out with friends at night or a lunch after Sunday church. I haven't been disappointed yet.

I've had good experiences at all Blue Dog Taverns, but our experience at the Chalfont location a few weeks ago exceeded our expectations by far. My mother had seen something she liked on the online menu that happened to have been removed from the in-house menu. When the server inquired about it in the kitchen, not only did the owner himself come out to inquire which dish my mother wanted, he discussed options with her and customized it even further to her liking. Friendly, accommodating people and great food. What more can you ask for?

Waitress / Server Carolyn is truly an asset to your team. Blessed to meet her last night while having dinner with my husband. We hit it off like old friends. Great food!

We stopped in for a snack and were very happy with the food and service. The kitchen made us the largest plate of nachos I have ever seen and even accommodated my request for a substitution. We'll definitely come back when in the area.

Found this place on a whim with my boss from work.
So far, I have been 6 times in four months, and haven't had a bad bite of food yet.

the Nacho's are absolutely huge and cheap to boot. Everything seems to be made fresh in house, and the wait staff has always been more than accommodating.

I didn't have drinks but the vegan options for food were amazing and delicious! The staff was friendly and welcoming, even though they were busy they were on top of everything and extremely accommodating. I am not a drinker but I would definitely go back for the food and the service!

The blue dog is hands down my favorite place to go! Great food, great service and they never disappoint with an amazing beer selection! I drive almost an hour to get there and I'm not stopping! can't wait to go back!!!!

Great craft beer list, pub fare and numerous vegan and vegetarian options! Very family friendly. A bit noisy on busy nights but otherwise is really great!

Awesome staff, beer knowledge. All pros. 365/ 2 o’clock bars are a rich find for someone in the business. I don’t play pool there cuz it is too humbling.

They always have great specials and a great selection of beer. It's a good place to meet after work, however it gets kinda loud as the night goes on and it gets more crowded.
