AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!
Everything at Chen Vegetarian House is 100% VEGAN. I legitimately had difficulty deciding what to get because I’m not used to have so many options!! My friend and I decided to get several dishes and split them. We enjoyed the chicken drumsticks (too tasty to take a photo), the vegetable lo mein, the general tsos chicken, and, for dessert, cheesecake. “Lin”(?) was such a sweet waitress and so knowledgeable about the food. It was so great not having to worry about animal products in my dishes!

I recommended they join the Plant Based Treaty, so I hope to see their name on the list soon!

Amazing mom and pop Asian cuisine (totally vegetarian/vegan)! So super duper good. We love their salt and pepper chicken tenders, the chicken nuggets, and the veg lo mein! 11/10 recommend.

Wonderful food, staff and atmosphere! Entire menu is vegitarian & very tasty. Place is over a hour from me and worth every minute of the drive, we’ll be back soon :)

The owner and wife are super sweet. The food is amazing and the cheesecake is to die for. We drive an hour and a half one way to go there at least twice a month

Absolutely fantastic food, everything we had was so amazing. Got to have won ton soup for the first time since we went vegetarian, and it was heaven. We are already making excuses to go back to East Reading so we can try more things off the menu.

First time at Chen. I got the Chicken & broccoli with brown rice. My wife got the Vegetable Green Curry with tofu. All excellent! Probably the best vegan chicken I've ever had!

Wow. Ok, was not expecting an entire menu of vegan items. Got the scallion pancake, curry tofu, and teriyaki duck. My husband is not even vegetarian and he still loved it. The next time we're in the area, we'll be dropping back in!

Had the general tso chicken and mango chicken, it was amazing! Definitely some of the best vegetarian Chinese food I've ever had. Definitely worth a try if you haven't yet.

Chen is my favorite restaurant in West Reading! I've been coming here for many years-- it's so great to have an all-vegan option in the area. The owners are really friendly, and the food is delicious. I bring non-vegan friends and family here, too, and they all enjoy it. The Tuesday through Saturday lunch special is a great deal-- try the eggplant chicken!

I rarely write reviews but have to say this is the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, and the best part is that it’s all vegan. Even if you aren’t plant based, I’d highly recommend their food. But I am especially thankful to Chen, as a vegetarian, for making food that is so delicious with no animal products involved. Thank you!!

Been going here for over 7 years, it's my favorite restaurant in the area and one of my favorite restaurants ever. I've tried almost all food of the menu. My favorite thing is the 🍛 curry "chicken." Sooo delicious and portions are good. Owners are very friendly and hardworking.

Vegan Chinese Food! The pan-fried wontons with garlic sauce, teriyaki “beef”, and general tso’s “chicken” were all divine… I’ll definitely be going back! This is the first time I’ve enjoyed Chinese food since going vegan. Yay! The woman behind the counter is also incredibly kind and personable. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Best vegetarian restaurant in PA! Their Thai options are very flavorful. They also have big portions so it’s great for the price. It’s more of a take-out place instead of dine-in.
