Genuine, helpful, friendly, and over all knowledgeable staff. Good selection and great firing range. One of my favorite stores ever.

Four years ago I visited Anthony Arms to complete training for my CCL. The class was fast paced and of the highest quality. The instructor did not make me feel embarrassed or nervous, he gave amazing tips and tricks and warnings.
The instructor then helped me choose my weapon, a Glock 19. I love this weapon!
I try to go to the firing range every few months to keep my skills up to date. The firing range manager is terrific and when my gun was not firing as expected, he sent me upstairs to the gunsmith to check it out (gunsmith on site).
The gunsmith was very efficient and friendly while he cleaned my gun for me and it fired beautifully after that!
I highly recommend you stop in to Anthony Arms.

From the moment we walked into Anthony Arms, we found one friendly person after another. Each and every employee we encountered wanted to be of assistance, answer our questions, and help in any way they could. That day, we were there to use the firing range and found the facility to be very nice. We had been to this establishment many times before but had never used the range. The price of ammo was reasonable and the attention to safety, reassuring. The firing area was clean and temperature controlled. By the way, this is also a good place to rent that firearm you have been thinking of buying and try it out. Wouldn’t it be better to know whether or not it suits you before you buy? Of course it is!

Afterwards, we wandered back upstairs to look in the display cases. The store is not only spacious and arranged very nicely, there is a lot of stock to consider. Again, the employees were happy to show us something, and even to exchange a story here and there. I always enjoy looking in the cases at the antique and rare items. Near the end of our stay, we met Ray Anthony, the store owner, and it was then that we realized why everyone is so friendly: they all take their cue from Ray, who is a real ‘people person’ - a genuinely nice guy. After sharing a few stories with him, we promised to return and went on our way.

I bought a firearm here today and had a great experience. The person helping me was polite and knowledgeable and the price was very good for a quality gun. They even gave me a complimentary range pass. The guys running the range were super cool and helped me navigate my new firearm. Great experience overall. I’ll be back soon.

I've been to this range twice, each time with a different employee working and both times received excellent service. The employees were friendly and helpful.

The range has an excellent amount of lanes and while maybe it isn't the flashiest, it gets the job done and I have zero complaints. I feel that all the rates from range time, to rentals, to protective gear, are all very reasonable. People complain about the cost of ammo, but guess what, all the ranges will be like that and the other aspects won't be as fairly priced as this one. Don't like the cost of ammo? Go build your own range.

The lane rental prices are a great deal, especially if 2 people are using a lane. They do not charge extra for the extra person like other places I've looked into. The ammo they sell is very reasonable. The staff is well educated if you have questions on any rentals you want to try. The knowledge helped me choose the handgun I now use all the time. The equipment isn't anything special, but what more do you need than something to hold the target that you can change the distance on?

After reading mixed reviews, I was skeptical about their customer service. My wife and I chose to experience Anthony Arms for ourselves because of all they had to offer. They are the only gun shop we could find that had a public range in addition to safety classes. Our first visit was meant to be only an inquiry to see how well or bad we were treated. I found the staff to be respect and collectively knowledgeable. We were so satisfied during our fist visit that we decided to test a revolver at their range downstairs. As soon as I was financially prepared to make a purchase, I returned to a completely different work shift of employees. Yet everyone in my opinion was still respectful and collectively knowledgeable. I am satisfied with my choice of firearm, and I am satisfied with Anthony Arms

I've been here several times over the last year or so. I've used their range and I've purchased a firearm or 2 here. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The range is clean and well maintained. Their prices on firearms are on par with other shops but they do have a very large selection. Overall I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking to buy or practice shooting.
1 more thing, they have a very good selection of handguns to rent as well. Try it before you buy it.

Bought my first personal gun here. Most everyone were nice people and very knowledgeable. I had plenty of questions and as it was my first time there was a process. They made it easy and answered my questions. Generally I’ve come to find their used selection is rather good and stocked up (Covid-19 has had an impact). Range is nice and well worth the cost. Would recommend.

My first experience was excellent one...came in knowing absolutely nothing and left (after lessons and practice) feeling confident and excited to return to use my newly acquired firearm. Staff and range were great...I had training from Bob and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor! He made me feel safe and took his time explaining everything very clearly, he was superb!

The staff are some of the most knowledgeable in the industry. They go above and beyond to find hard to find firearms that others would have no chance of securing for their customers. Having the in store shooting range and the ability to test firearms before you buy , make them far and above the best choice around. Also their prices are below most and in many cases better than the online options but without the hassle and of course you get to speak to an actual person about the choice you are making! We are lucky to have such a store in the Pittsburgh area. I ordered a hard to find firearm from here 2 months ago, had no doubt I would not see it for up to a year due to the huge number of people snapping these limited produced. They had one in my hands in 2 months to the day! Amazing!

Very cool place! Staff took my mother and myself on a tour and showed us the best guns for female users, but we wanted to make sure the gun would do the job after the first shot. Had a wide variety and showed us how all weapons we asked to see worked. This is while we waited to see what we could get on a trade in. Gave us a fair price. Planning on taking some classes very soon!!

I recently spent some time at the Anthony Arms range and I was impressed with the cleanliness, organization and safety precautions. The range master was attentive and made sure I understood the safety rules, and corrected others to make sure they followed the safety rules. The sales people in the shop were also helpful, as they provided practical advice on cleaning some of my vintage pistols. The entire staff was professional, courteous and respectful, and I will be visiting Anthony Arms again. Technical competence and expertise combined with safety make this range and shop my favorite.

Had a great time. I was weary from other reviews about the range but can't say any of that applied. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Immediately greeted me with a smile when I walked in the door. All I did was use the range but I wanted to leave a good review because what I experienced was so far removed from what others had posted. Prices looked on par with what I would see anywhere else. Duh online is cheaper, but I'll pay the extra money for the service.

Every staff member was very kind, cooperative and helpful in my final decision process between two glocks. They let me test both for free and gave me unbiased opinions with no pressure to buy. Their selection and prices are great and would recommend to anyone ranging from a seasoned vet to first time buyers. Awesome place!

Very friendly and helpful staff! The range is well priced and not a rip off. You have to huy their ammo, but that adds a level of assurance, not having to worry about hobby “reloaders” on the range with bad equipment. My wife and I love going, and their selection of rentals is impressive!

The indoor target shooting range is very nicely maintained and staffed. The quality of the range is very good and the staff is very helpful. Anthony Arms provides good private target shooting instruction and safety procedures. The staff is very knowledgeable and especially helpful with technical assistance such as gun jams and firearms selection. This is a very good place to learn target shooting with a pistol. The staff is also a great resource for providing the best options for selecting skeet and sporting clay shotguns.

It is a spectacular place. The Used guns are in great condition and the selection is excellent. I bought my first pistol here. A para 1911used. The costumer service is excellent. The answered any and all questions i had about a gun. I will be going back very soon for my next purchase

Great range and wonderful experience. I buy all of my firearms from this shop. I've been in the military for over a decade and I've been to numerous pistol ranges, this range by far is top notch. I travel nearly 500 miles each way from Fort Drum, NY to this range and am highly pleased each and every time. Will continue to come back.

I just thought I'd write a review since looking at other sites and seeing all the bad things they have to say about this place (too expensive, horrible staff, ect.). I can tell you from my experience that Anthony Arms has a very nice indoor range, yes you have to buy their ammo but at the same time other places you pay more for a membership card, and/or range time so it all of the indoor ranges in the area equal out. Their inventory, AS WELL AS GUN PRICES are both a plus!! I can not tell you how many different gun stores I've been to in the area...as far as LATROBE! and no one beats their prices, or gun selection. Each gun you buy they give you a free range pass for as well as match any competitors price. If you don't want to run to 10 different places this is honestly the one stop shop you need! Some of their staff can be assholes, but most of them are very nice and helpful as well. I don't see why people say 'it's my last resort' or 'i hate this place, too expensive'. Unless your going outside to shoot, this is your best option in the Pittsburgh area. We go quite often, and are very happy with all of our purchases from them, as well as the stores selection. Another plus about the indoor range is your ability to rent guns before you decide on a purchase!
