Mays Sandwich Shop

I bought a ham turkey n cheese large sandwich. Which I cut in half ate one half. Had the other at a later time. It was delicious. Staff was a lovely lady who made it was awesome. Thank you for the great sandwich and experience. I will be back.

Great sandwiches and friendly staff make this a wonderful place to stop by for lunch or dinner. The hoagies are filled with fresh ingredients and the service is quick. They just celebrated their 75th anniversary and are still going strong with quality food at reasonable prices.

I love Mays sandwiches, they are very tasty. They are not too pricey and very nice workers.

Classic hometown sandwich shop. The cheese steak is top notch. The cold wraps are packed with meat and very filling. The fries are solid. The perfect mix of almost steak fry and crispy ends. I would eat here often if I lived nearby.

The best family owned sandwich shop I've ever been to. Lovely workers, excellent customer service, amazingly delicious food. The wait is never long, and if it is, they warn us beforehand. This place is worth every cent.

I've passed by May's plenty of times on Penn Ave, and always wanted to try their sandwiches. I went in recently to grab a couple ham on rolls to see how they stacked up to Screpesi's ham on rolls (My fave in the area). Once in, I noticed the shop had a wide variety of other goods that I couldn't resist getting as well. The gentleman that made my sandwiches was very friendly, and informative about the other products they sold outside of their menu. While the subs were very high quality, they're just shy of beating a Screpesi sub. May's is closer to me however, and tasty enough that I'll be back in again. Thoroughly recommend.

Great food. So far I've had a California cheese steak and Italian sub, both time with onion rings. My wife got a chicken cheese steak. We both love May's. She can't stop talking about her sandwich. I keep telling friends to try them. Can't wait to eat there again! They provide excellent service, the shop is clean and organized, the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a decent sized menu, chips, drinks and homemade cookies, a variety of snacks and ice cream bars as well. Perfect corner store! I'll be ordering from May's for the foreseeable future.

I'm very picky about how my sandwich is made, especially a submarine sandwich. I've passed this location hundreds of times and finally stopped in to give it a shot. This place is a hidden Gem. Sandwich was great. Plenty of cold cuts and great taste at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be back again!

I can always count on Mays for a delicious lunch and for my order to be perfect. Online ordering is very easy and the sandwiches are always tasty. Call to order if you can't manage the online ordering. Love catching up with my former students and giving business to a local enterprise. Orders are always ready quickly. Great to be able to add sides / snack foods / drinks / desserts to make lunch a little more complete. This shop has saved me many times when I needed to pick up something and have a working lunch.

I can always count on Mays Shop for a good sandwich, a beverage and a side ready quickly and at a really reasonable price. This is a family-run enterprise and staffed by wonderful folks. You can eat in the open air at a picnic table or one of two porch tables if those options are available when you visit. I'm checking "dine in" below because today I ate on the porch. Many times, I pick up and return to work with my lunch.

Happy to have visited this sub shop for the first time! Good sandwiches at a very affordable price! Got two large subs for $15 and change! Nice and friendly cashier! Will definitely visit again!

Today was my first time. I ordered on-line, paid, and asked for curbside delivery. I ordered 2 Italians for travel knowing they won't be eaten until later this evening. I also ordered a Roast Beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a pretzel roll. The whole sandwich was toasted and OMG, it was absolutely AMAZING!!! Everything was perfect including the gentleman who delivered my order to my car. I Definitely will be returning A+

This is a favorite stop of mine when I'm in the area. Just a wonderful little lunch counter kind of place. Very broad menu and lots of fried snacky stuff. Not much room for sitting do they do have a nice little deck out front with a few tables

Staff was very polite. Also the food was very good! I just know for my mushroom cheesesteak I have to ask for extra cheese.

Visiting from California and this place has been nothing but amazing great food great people five stars way way up

I was really impressed with the sandwiches they make. They don’t skimp on fillings and they do a really neat job of putting together them together. Im a vegetarian and they had multiple options I could choose from. Will definitely go back again.

As far as local places go, this is one of the best! And they seriously have some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had!! Combine that with the amazing prices and I will most definitely be returning!
